The Value of Gamepass is just getting better and better.
Physical game media isn't very useful in the 9th console generation. The games need to be installed on a drive anyways. There are only 3 reasons you might want a disk drive: - You're an avid collector who loves to display physical media - You have a very slow internet connection - You share games with your friends Hardcore retro gaming enthusiasts and collectors like myself are a tiny minority and always will be, so Sony's approach of using external disk drives makes more sense to me.
Small price differences if we consider USD only but as Game Pass is expanding to developing countries, the price differences of $50 will be significant. I'm talking about countries mostly in south east Asia region like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand where $50 will be equivalent to meals for 2 weeks.

I wish there was a white version of the disk X. the max the 2tb should've gone for is $550
What is the disc x ? 😂
Series S should have a disck. 😅
They should have done that
Not going to happening pal, MS is literaly saying buy tge cheaper one, that of course is only digital and the one with disk with 2TB is $600 just crazy, to think PS5 pro will be around $600 to $650.
Disks don't sell gamepass subscriptions.
That's what the x is lol
@@DREADEYE_KNIGHT yeah but they done the series X with no disc. How about they should do a series s with a disk for a cheaper price?
How about the bumpers on the controller on the one with 2tb are they now strong 😢😢😢or they haven't changed them
Will you make a video about how the internal SSD of the Series X and S is very hard to replace?
This is a great ad... for PC
Im sorry but an all digital series X is a downgrade. Having a disc drive is what makes the series X, the series X. You're better off getting the series S if thats the case
600$ for a console is crazy. Especially one that has less than 3 years of support left.
The only way this would be acceptable is internal hardware upgrade
When is it coming out?
The Xbox Series S 1TB Carbon black will be a colectors item
I'm sure there's some unopened ones out there, they will go for good money eventually
No dude the DISC drive ones will be
Take something out, call it new.
Game rent box, mandatory internet connection box.
Shouldn’t the 2TB model be disk less and not the other way round? 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah probably lol
Dogital only equals zero intrest for me
A simply way to MS saying we hate phisycal copies.
Cool, get the one with a disc drive then are you stunned?
That's great. i didn't need 2 lnow that
I bet $20 next gen will be digital only.
@@BraydenLightYes, you did
Doesn't it make more sense to make both consoles 2 TB or at least the new disc less version since it's going to be download only? If you're going all digital you want the most space Right? 🤔
Right
This video should have ended in under 3 minutes.
In my opinion people who cheer or Buy digital only consoles are either not respecting themselves or their money
So your trash talking to PC Master Race Okay Lil Bro I’ll see you on the streets.
👒 digital consoles are great Microsoft store is keeping track of all payed games etc you can always go back and download payed games etc been working just fine fine for me speak for your self buddy
Or you know, people who don't have the space for discs. Or prefer their games to be playable remotely. All of it. No swapping required.
It's been digital only on PC for 15 years, cry about it.
@@corruptedpoison1
Someone Mr Grump
Why can't ya charge your controller at this point? It's literally the only knock against Xbox.
You can buy a rechargeable battery, or just plug in the controller at all times if you don’t want AA Batteries. At least Microsoft gives you options instead of being stuck with only one form of power for the controller.
@tylernielsen24 sonys option is the best though. If Microsoft wants to create a gaming network that includes pc, charging the controller that comes included with the system would make sense.
@@Gmen2487 Sony's is the best until the battery degrades. There are pluses and minuses for everything.
@spellfireforge get a 3rd party that's compatible. My point is the option should be available.
@@Gmen2487 how do you not understand that the x-box controller + play n charge kit is the superior solution? if the battery degrades over it's lifetime I can just replace it, if a Sony controller does that you have to throw it away and buy a whole new one.
Stick it to the little guy micrshaft,
Xbox series X disc version $499.99, Xbox Series X all digital $499.99 🤔 remove a major component and charge the same...smh.
Only a 50 dollar discount for a deleted disc drive, honestly a terrible deal. 2TB for $600 is exciting though.
Besides backwards compatibility, theres not much reason to have a console with a disc drive nowadays due to discs just downloading a digital copy of a game anyways
Exactly. People in these comments clutching their CDs and VHS tapes crying about physical media. Yall gotta get with the times. Majority of games sales are digital. On console and PC. Been this way on PC for decades now
@YoDzOnHalo Nah, don't get me wrong, there IS a good reason for physical media... assuming that it actually holds something besides a license. Older games, movies, music, etc. it serves as preservation. (Assuming people take care of their shit)
Now, with MODERN consoles, discs are glorified license keys, so there isn't much reason to use them.
"Upgrade" its not really a upgrade to remove a feature.
Nobody uses disk anymore
@@kenroyforrester156 you do if you want to own your games and don't want to download 100+ gbs all the time
Will the xbox series s 500 gb be reduced in price or taken off shelves completely?
They pushed this NEW XBOX announced, right after theirs speech about "TOTAL XBOX BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY ON NEW XBOX CONSOLES , WITH ALL XBOX GAMES YOU OWN ON MEDIA"... then pushing a full digital console , and news that Xbox 360 XBLA store will close... The hypocrisy is insane ...
Very disappointing
Agreed.
White Series X is 🔥
If it wasn't digital only, sure.
I have games, no good throwing them at it
Fun fact : if you put “fun fact” in the beginning of your sentence, everyone will read the whole sentence.
Another storage expansion slot would have been nice. Could drive the prices down by allowing people to purchase 2 x 512GB cards vs 1 x 1TB
Pointless versions of these consoles. It’s stupid how these companies are killing off physical media whilst pulling some games from their store. Own nothing and be happy about it somehow
I’m sorry to tell you this, but most people don’t give a crap about physical games anymore. It’s sad but it’s true.
@@TNSB no it’s not
@@TNSB Brother I still own my ps1, ps2, gamecube, N64, Super Nintendo, Xbox360, AND a ps4, ps5, and pc. Physical copies are more important than ever.
@@Garugonthebluedo a quick google search and tell me the percentage of Digital vs Physical sales of Pc and console games for the last 10 years. Majority is digital sells. Especially on PC. Over 85%
@@Garugontheblue To you, yes but for the average consumer not really
5 Xboxs and still not one of them is worth getting.
That xbox showcase was awesome bruh. If you're not on PC and still favor the console experience it's defiantly worth getting an Xbox unless you don't like the new games like indiana jones, Avowed, perfect dark, gears of war 6, fable, stalker 2, Doom the dark ages etc all day one on gamepass... The Value of Gamepass is just getting better and better.
Physical game media isn't very useful in the 9th console generation. The games need to be installed on a drive anyways.
There are only 3 reasons you might want a disk drive:
- You're an avid collector who loves to display physical media
- You have a very slow internet connection
- You share games with your friends
Hardcore retro gaming enthusiasts and collectors like myself are a tiny minority and always will be, so Sony's approach of using external disk drives makes more sense to me.
I was hoping it would be with a disc drive and heaps of extras at a discount price. I am a fool
Nobody is gonna buy that stupid digital series x
3 views in 1 min, you fell off😂
He’s got 27k views in 2hours😂😂… how many did you expect him to get
Can you still use elite series 2 controller on. The white Xbox Series x console ?
If the interior is new or updated, I’ll get one
We dont need more storage! We need hardware improvements
I’m happy with my launch series x, would love to see a price cut on those ssd memory card.
only $50 less for no hard drive is absolutely wild
20 less and bill will wack you with a stick personally
officer barbrady - " move along, nothing to see here... " /sigh
The Xbox is just a PC in sheep’s clothing
What"s the advantage buying the 2tb instead of the 1TB and chuck a higher quality 2rb drive in it?
Small price differences if we consider USD only but as Game Pass is expanding to developing countries, the price differences of $50 will be significant. I'm talking about countries mostly in south east Asia region like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand where $50 will be equivalent to meals for 2 weeks.
The only upgrade we really need is Hall Effect sticks in the controllers.
