No problem. It's a hobby of mine or when I have time to do it. I currently work a FTJ and do not intend to do this full time. The money spent is never recouped from views. I don't ask for donations, I don't have a Patreon and at this time don't plan on starting one. People can give if they want, its fine. As far as Patreon, it's a no go at this time. I'll tell you a small secret about people like Linus. When you get large its very hard to concentrate on everything. It will wear you out and make you tired. You will miss a lot because you are trying to please a lot of people. It gets to the point to where you are getting a lot of hardware from suppliers wanting you to review their product. It overwhelms you. You have to try and hire people to help and sometimes that doesn't work. Im sure he would if he could but Linus and others like him have so much going on. You will experience this if you ever go the Content Creator route. It's harder than it looks. You also have to edit hours of video which is also time consuming and not only that, you have to come up with video everyday if you are on that type of schedule. That's why I have no desire to become that large. If I can recoup all the money's i've spent and my time, I would be content with that. Helping people is my main priority at this point although I cannot always do it. You are welcome and you be safe as well!😉

Looking forward to this coming in. I was on the hunt for a laptop and you can spend $600 on something that cant play much for games, or $800 for this. I just went ahead and spent the extra $200, seemed like better value. I already have a good tower pc and whatnot but I am looking forward to seeing what this can do!

Nope and now Best Buy updated the site and removed the RGB version. It's all RED now. Myself and few others were mentioning it on the site. There was even someone going by Team Acer confused on what it was.
Perfect review Mate!!! I have the version with rtx 3060 and it's a bomb, the only problem is that the processor warms up too much... I'm using power saver mode to have and average of 70 degrees, before my pc used to reach 93/94 degrees with Ultra settings when I played almost every game... but I think that in this manner I have lost 10 fps

Because my audience uses Acer, that's the machine I use mostly. Personally I like MSI. When it really comes down to it, my decision is based on my budget and what I can get for the money.
@@tucker12435 Yes they did. Im still confused on why the machine was running cool then around a week later it was throttling. Throttling doesn't bother me but it seems like the thermal grease broke down. That is really quick. I repasted the machine and all is normal again.
Great vid man, very detailed. I was actually saving money for this or something else as an upgrade over my current 2017 nitro 5, was hoping to get by the end of the year but pandemic happened and country is not fully open yet so no income for me. So it lookes like an upgrade is not happening anytime soon.
Tbh I wouldn't buy it, they have Asus and MSI laptops with1660 Ti's in the same price range. Also Dell is about to release their G5 15 SE starting at 879 US dollars which has an RX 5600M, that's AMD's equivalent Graphics card to Nvidias RTX 2060 plus Dell laptops go on sale often so the laptop could drop down to 600 to 700 dollars regularly
@@RamenBoi i just looked up the asus with the same specs in my country, its actually a bit more expensive than this. Msi one is pretty close to this one but with the 1660ti, but the dell g15 se hasn't come out yet in my country.
Hey MeanPooh. I just watched this video and wow what a good performing and promising gaming laptop. I was going to get the Acer Predator Helios 300 but the new Acer Nitro 5 looks better in my opinion and suits my needs. I'm going to get it in a few months time and what a jinyx this is. I'm getting the same Acer Nitro 5 model as you. And if your going to benchmark another game I highly recommend Euro Truck Simulator 2 or Forza Horizon 4.

Kartikeya Dubey the RGB is available but not in the United States. Acer likes to make the same models with different features depending on your region.
This laptop has to be the best gaming laptop I've ever bought, considering it's my first ever gaming laptop. I like the screen it's very good for watching netflix and playing games. I also love how it comes with a red RGB light up keyboard, it is very nice to type on and this laptop performs very well in games and ediitng videos. 😀😎💯

I can't give you a specific machine but the specs in the price range will be 1650Ti, 1660Ti, 5500M 5600M for Graphics. 10th Gen i5, Ryzen 5 4600H for CPU. If you have a few in mind just send me the links. Generally, try to get the most you can afford. Battery will not be good in gaming laptops, so if you plan on taking it to class, forget about it.
If they are gaming laptops you might want to find a review on RUclips to see real results. I've never had a machine get anywhere near that except for a MacBook Pro or Chromebook.

Very thorough and detailed review. Great job! This video is making me favor getting this instead of the Asus ROG STRIX (9th gen i5 and GTX 1650). What would you rather get since the main difference between the two is the Asus 9th gen processor, compared to the Acer 10th gen processor? Keep up the good work!
Thanks friend! Over the weeks the machine has been getting hot. A made a couple of videos showing this. Finally I repasted and everything is fine now. With this version there is no undervolting using software as it been patched out. This one also has a better GPU. With the ROG STRIX, you have the option to undervolt. I do not know the quality of the STRIX and that may be something you might want to check into. As for the Acer, it's a better machine than the previous versions and its faster as well.
@@Meanpooh Oh I see, thank you. Here in Canada, the i5-10300H model of the Acer nitro has a GTX 1650 (non TI variant). So it has the same GPU as the ROG Strix, but seeing that you said 2020 Acer nitro has better performance than its predecessor due to the 10th gen processor, it will be safe to assume that it would perform better than the ROG Strix 9th Gen Intel than especially since you said it doesn't utilize undervolting. I'll be sure to check out the other videos, but would you recommend repasting in the event I get it?
Great review. Thermals n ventilation are so inspired by y530, y540. But it beats them in double m.2 ports. i5 1650ti are so easy to cool, would like to see a 80W 1660ti n i7 cooling in this chassis

Have you checked up the Power Settings for the Power Profile you were using? If you go into the advanced tab, you can check for processor speed, there its probs set to maximum, like also on my machine, I just set it max 95%, so it turns off "always run maximum" - sounds kinda weird but test it by urself, if its set to 100% it will always run max, if its below 100 its just running low until its needed to get more power

Hello, thanks for the awesome review. Can you undervolt the CPU ? I heard that Intel disabled undervolting for 10. gen cpu's. Some manifacturers also disabling undervolting for old generations with bios update. Sorry for english.
Everything that has happened to this machine, i've made a video about it. I think it's a good budget laptop that looks sleek and can get warm. regardless of the new cooling design. Everything is working without issue. Repasted 2 weeks later.

That site is jacked. Some people who have the RGB versions are review models. Most from other regions. This is the newest version of the machine.

1650 ti is better than 1650.every Nvidia GPU have "ti" is like a pro version of it.
Slightly, like 5-7 frames compare to non ti
Gtx 1650 ti is same card like gtx 1650 but instead of GDDR5 it uses GDDR6 which give us 10-15% boost
Better save up and get the 1660ti, that card basically is rtx 2060 without ray tracing and lower cores

Do you prefer a asus or Acer
Because my audience uses Acer, that's the machine I use mostly. Personally I like MSI. When it really comes down to it, my decision is based on my budget and what I can get for the money.

@@tucker12435 Yes they did. Im still confused on why the machine was running cool then around a week later it was throttling. Throttling doesn't bother me but it seems like the thermal grease broke down. That is really quick. I repasted the machine and all is normal again.
Great vid man, very detailed. I was actually saving money for this or something else as an upgrade over my current 2017 nitro 5, was hoping to get by the end of the year but pandemic happened and country is not fully open yet so no income for me. So it lookes like an upgrade is not happening anytime soon.
Don't worry about the laptop there will be faster ones coming for around the same price. Your safety comes first. Stay strong!
Tbh I wouldn't buy it, they have Asus and MSI laptops with1660 Ti's in the same price range. Also Dell is about to release their G5 15 SE starting at 879 US dollars which has an RX 5600M, that's AMD's equivalent Graphics card to Nvidias RTX 2060 plus Dell laptops go on sale often so the laptop could drop down to 600 to 700 dollars regularly

@@RamenBoi i just looked up the asus with the same specs in my country, its actually a bit more expensive than this. Msi one is pretty close to this one but with the 1660ti, but the dell g15 se hasn't come out yet in my country.

Hey MeanPooh. I just watched this video and wow what a good performing and promising gaming laptop.
I was going to get the Acer Predator Helios 300 but the new Acer Nitro 5 looks better in my opinion and suits my needs.
I'm going to get it in a few months time and what a jinyx this is. I'm getting the same Acer Nitro 5 model as you.
And if your going to benchmark another game I highly recommend Euro Truck Simulator 2 or Forza Horizon 4.

This laptop has to be the best gaming laptop I've ever bought, considering it's my first ever gaming laptop. I like the screen it's very good for watching netflix and playing games. I also love how it comes with a red RGB light up keyboard, it is very nice to type on and this laptop performs very well in games and ediitng videos. 😀😎💯

I can't give you a specific machine but the specs in the price range will be 1650Ti, 1660Ti, 5500M 5600M for Graphics. 10th Gen i5, Ryzen 5 4600H for CPU. If you have a few in mind just send me the links. Generally, try to get the most you can afford. Battery will not be good in gaming laptops, so if you plan on taking it to class, forget about it.

If they are gaming laptops you might want to find a review on RUclips to see real results. I've never had a machine get anywhere near that except for a MacBook Pro or Chromebook.
This is the one I'm getting can't wait because it's really good for the price and it really is truly a gaming laptop

I heard there is a problem with the battery and the energy cable with the model i7 rtx 3060 like the laptop without the battery can get enough energy to run, does this model with the GTX got the same problem?

No problems with battery on this machine. Only power source is battery and AC adapter. No USB charging.

Very thorough and detailed review. Great job! This video is making me favor getting this instead of the Asus ROG STRIX (9th gen i5 and GTX 1650). What would you rather get since the main difference between the two is the Asus 9th gen processor, compared to the Acer 10th gen processor? Keep up the good work!
Thanks friend! Over the weeks the machine has been getting hot. A made a couple of videos showing this. Finally I repasted and everything is fine now. With this version there is no undervolting using software as it been patched out.
This one also has a better GPU.
With the ROG STRIX, you have the option to undervolt. I do not know the quality of the STRIX and that may be something you might want to check into. As for the Acer, it's a better machine than the previous versions and its faster as well.
@@Meanpooh Oh I see, thank you. Here in Canada, the i5-10300H model of the Acer nitro has a GTX 1650 (non TI variant). So it has the same GPU as the ROG Strix, but seeing that you said 2020 Acer nitro has better performance than its predecessor due to the 10th gen processor, it will be safe to assume that it would perform better than the ROG Strix 9th Gen Intel than especially since you said it doesn't utilize undervolting. I'll be sure to check out the other videos, but would you recommend repasting in the event I get it?

Great review. Thermals n ventilation are so inspired by y530, y540. But it beats them in double m.2 ports. i5 1650ti are so easy to cool, would like to see a 80W 1660ti n i7 cooling in this chassis

I have the 1660ti and i7 2020 version. The cpu is around 70 degrees and the gpu too
Have you checked up the Power Settings for the Power Profile you were using? If you go into the advanced tab, you can check for processor speed, there its probs set to maximum, like also on my machine, I just set it max 95%, so it turns off "always run maximum" - sounds kinda weird but test it by urself, if its set to 100% it will always run max, if its below 100 its just running low until its needed to get more power

Not at all, you may not even notice while using it. It's not a flaw, just cheap material. Yes, there is a version that is zone rgb. Glad you liked the video!

Can you undervolt the CPU ? I heard that Intel disabled undervolting for 10. gen cpu's. Some manifacturers also disabling undervolting for old generations with bios update. Sorry for english.

Everything that has happened to this machine, i've made a video about it. I think it's a good budget laptop that looks sleek and can get warm. regardless of the new cooling design. Everything is working without issue. Repasted 2 weeks later.
