I've had one for about 6 months. Dropped 1T of M.2 memory and 2 Corsair 8gig sticks of 3200 x8 into it and this thing plays anything I want. I also got a $15 cooling pad and it doesn't get over 72 C. I am playing Mount and Blade, Witcher 3 and Star Citizen with no issues. The speakers are terrible and it has to be plugged in to get any performance. The screen took a crap on it I sent it back to Acer and I got it back in two weeks. They even paid for shipping.
I bought one for each of my kids last year. They're still going strong their able to play Apex, Ark, Dead by Daylight, and Red Dead Online. Of course more but that's what the currently play
@@aayushx1610 they're both still using it. I added an extra stick of ram and more storage. Haven't had any issues with them. The youngest actually dropped hers off the top bunk of her bed and I thought it was done for, she's still on it.
I just bought one, for $650, im sure that means its the most basic of the 11th gen nitro 5s, but hopefully good enough to play starcraft 2 at max, you're reviee was outstanding, better than most reviewers
Fun fact, the i5 actually has a 1650ti in it. They just don't advertise it as that. I researched it for about a month before I bought it and found multiple sources that said that.
@@middlefoot6636 I use my laptop for video editing, so it was basically essential for me to do it. I never even tried to use the laptop with 8 GB. I primarily play Roblox and nothing really else. I wasn't looking for anything too mad since Im under a budget, and anything too powerful would simply be overkill. This is one I've been looking into, and it seems to do the job. Good review 👍🏾 Note: Most computers can run roblox well enough, but in order to maximise your performance in more intense games, you're gonna need something like this
If you're recording live instruments, you don't need much more than a strong CPU and 1080p screen, which this has. If you're looking for something for your techno-whatever, you'll still want to use an external audio interface instead of the built-in audio device.

If you have a 8gb 3200mhz stick of ram in ur computer and you put in a 8gb stick of 2400mhz ram it downclocks the 3200mhz stick of ram to match the lower speced 2400mhz of ram so the ram now runs at 2400mhz for both sticks
ended up buying one of these bad boys for $400.00, upgraded the ram to 24GB an added a 128GB SSD with win on it so the 512GB SSD could be used for games
I'm just getting into PC gaming but I'm looking for a gaming laptop. I'm really looking to buying this one but if anyone can help me with an answer because I haven't found anything saying a solid yes or no. Can this laptop run total war warhammer 3?? If anyone knows please lmk I'd appreciate it.
There’s two m.2 slots and one 2.5 inch slot, by default one of the m.2 slots is populated, so you can add one extra m.2 nvme SSD and one 2.5 inch hard drive or 2.5 inch SSD. Gen 3 SSDs as there is no pcie 4.0 so no gen 4 SSDs but in real world usage gen 3 SSDs load stuff just as fast
LMAO@ "There are plenty of other machines you could use to keep up with instagram so that you know when the 7th booster shot has become available." O.O LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Officially a fan hahaha by the way, I have this same exact laptop in the i5-10300H flavor. I'm sort of in a bind right now. I'm thinking of buying a new gaming latop out of fear of rising prices. I bought my current Acer Nitro 5 as a way to game and work at home due to COVID. I realize now, that I really love gaming laptops now (even more than my old custom-built gaming rig). I guess there's just no constraints to when and where I can game due to having the mobility that comes with a laptop. Anywho, I find myself being stuck and out of options as I just Do NOT like the asthetics that come with the Legion 5, I hear teh Asus Tuf runs really hot, and I don't want to buy a gaming laptop with a monster gpu tdp as I use my laptop for work and don't want it dying within the hour when unplugged. I can't seem to find anything that beats the balance that comes with my current Nitro 5. My current Nitro 5 runs all my games on medium to high settings at a solid 60+ FPS. The TDP is not high so it runs cool, and it can run up anywhere between 4-6 hours on battery. Do you know of any other gaming laptop out there with a more premium build that can offer the same thing as the Acer Nitro 5? (enough power to run all my games, but not too much where it would run hot and drain my battery in one hour). I love my acer Nitro 5 but it doesnt look very professional. Several of my clients have seen my laptop and automatically figure out that I'm a gamer. I even feel as though some might take me less seriously because of this. People in my line of work automatically drop the seriousness and professionalism once they see my Nitro 5 and begin acting more chummy. Sorry for rambling, great video. What do you think? PS: I dont play triple AAA titles, I mainly play MMOs and racing games.
