I was wondering if anyone answered this question for him! That's actually one of the clever things I liked that Meyer came up with for her version of vampires.
Yeah, you would think her nightmares were ptsd induced from the trauma of the near death experience she went through in the last movie. That would make more sense than the real explanation given in the book. Her nightmare was that she was in the forest searching for Edward. And searching and searching. And eventually she forgets about what she's searching for. And then she wakes up screaming. Her nightmares were that she forgot Edward, like he had promised. "It will be as if I never existed".
In a deleted scene Bella also has a nightmare where she sees Edward and then he turns into her but with his voice “you are nothing”. It’s a pretty trippy scene, I don’t know why they deleted it. It adds so much more context to why her nightmares and depression are so bad. In the theatrical version, we see a reference to this nightmare when Bella reiterates that she is “nothing”, and Edward corrects it by saying she is everything. The deleted scenes for most to all of the movies are so vital to the plot and a lot of fans get frustrated that they are not included in the films.

Bellas monologue sort of explained it, but they probably could have done a better job. But logicaly it had to be just a hallucination. If the real Edward new Bella was in danger, he would have returned.
The funniest thing about New Moon is, she isn't actually psychically seeing Edward when she's in danger - she's legit having a mental breakdown and hallucinating. This whole movie is sooooo mentally unhealthy lol

Kristen Stewart was definitely type cast for this role. She was perfect as the adapted actress for Bella. However there wasn’t much “acting” because she is like this IRL lol

Edward isn't perfect but I am Team Edward because he is who Bella chose and I got tired of the men around her treating her like she wasn't her own person with her own wants and needs. Edward didn’t leave because he couldn’t make up his mind or because he didn’t want Belle. He left because he thought he was protecting her. He hates being a vampire and doesn’t want Belle to give up her soul. The birthday party scared him, he saw how Belle got hurt and felt he put her in danger. He left and said the harsh things he said so that she could move on. He thought being cruel would ultimately help her move on, but there’s nothing he could have done. Belle would never accept it and refused to let Edward push her away. Please watch Amanda the Jedi’s review of the movies do she can explain how toxic Jacob was.

Bella seeing Edward when he's gone God knows where isn't her really talking to him. She's talking to her psychosis. I.E., she's gone insane. He's a hallucination. He's not "reaching out through space and time," as some may believe. If he was, there would be no primary conflict, and the climax would be even more underwhelming. He never would have needed to go to Italy, because he would know already that Bella is fine. Him reaching out to her that way would mean that her knows her leaping off the cliff was stupid and dangerous, but not fatal.
I watched this on theaters with my mom, and I was joking that I wanted to see it. We were in line to see Disney's Princess and the Frog, but when we get to the ticket counter, it was sold out. I turned to mom and jokingly asked, "New Moon?" We got tickets and watched it that night. Came back for Disney the next afternoon, and it still had tickets available. Which one was my favorite of the two? Not sure, but my DVD collection says I am. Princess and the Frog? Check. Twilight movies of any kind? None. I guess that speaks for itself.

This is the last Twilight movie where Rachelle Lefevre plays Victoria before being replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard, and it has never sat right with me. BDH is supposedly notorious in Hollywood for getting her dad, director Ron Howard, to step in a steal roles for her. Rachelle Lefevre was literally out promoting the movies with her costars when they announced she'd been replaced due to a "scheduling conflict," she was taken by surprise and devastated and said that that was bullshit- and because she didn't play ball with the studio, it seriously harmed her career. Imagine being a struggling actor and finally getting your big break, just to have some nepotism baby snatch it out from under you? I know Hollywood is unfair and cutthroat, but I have never liked Bryce Dallas Howard after she pulled this shit. She was already famous, too, she'd already been in The Village, just real POS behavior. I'm glad the Twilight fans didn't take to her, either.
I like Bryce as an actress but she really didn't fit the role of Victoria, which is one of the reasons Eclipse feels so "off" to me. Rachelle on the other hand was perfect for the role... the "Hearing Damage" forest chase sequence in New Moon shows that. It's a shame that Eclipse was supposed to be her big moment and yet that happened.
Team Jacob here. The next one is my favorite for the same reasons you liked this one, the fight scenes. Just remember not only tweens and teens were all about this movie. The 40+ year old moms were pine'n over Jacob which was socially accepted for some reason. You switch the genders up and then society has a problem, the world we live in.
Jacob sexually assaulted her. He's very rapey. I don't understand the love for him. If I'm remembering correctly, when he forcefully kisses her in the book, he gets so angry at her rejection and her trying to fight him off that he grabs her and tries to hold her still to continue to forcefully kiss her until she gives up and stops moving. He's nasty

Bella seeing Edward when he's gone God knows where isn't her really talking to him. She's talking to her psychosis. I.E., she's gone insane. He's a hallucination. He's not "reaching out through space and time," as some may believe. If he was, there would be no primary conflict, and the climax would be even more underwhelming. He never would have needed to go to Italy, because he would know already that Bella is fine. Him reaching out to her that way would mean that her knows her leaping off the cliff was stupid and dangerous, but not fatal.

I watched this on theaters with my mom, and I was joking that I wanted to see it. We were in line to see Disney's Princess and the Frog, but when we get to the ticket counter, it was sold out. I turned to mom and jokingly asked, "New Moon?"
We got tickets and watched it that night. Came back for Disney the next afternoon, and it still had tickets available. Which one was my favorite of the two? Not sure, but my DVD collection says I am. Princess and the Frog? Check. Twilight movies of any kind? None. I guess that speaks for itself.

This is the last Twilight movie where Rachelle Lefevre plays Victoria before being replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard, and it has never sat right with me. BDH is supposedly notorious in Hollywood for getting her dad, director Ron Howard, to step in a steal roles for her. Rachelle Lefevre was literally out promoting the movies with her costars when they announced she'd been replaced due to a "scheduling conflict," she was taken by surprise and devastated and said that that was bullshit- and because she didn't play ball with the studio, it seriously harmed her career. Imagine being a struggling actor and finally getting your big break, just to have some nepotism baby snatch it out from under you? I know Hollywood is unfair and cutthroat, but I have never liked Bryce Dallas Howard after she pulled this shit. She was already famous, too, she'd already been in The Village, just real POS behavior. I'm glad the Twilight fans didn't take to her, either.
I like Bryce as an actress but she really didn't fit the role of Victoria, which is one of the reasons Eclipse feels so "off" to me. Rachelle on the other hand was perfect for the role... the "Hearing Damage" forest chase sequence in New Moon shows that. It's a shame that Eclipse was supposed to be her big moment and yet that happened.
Team Jacob here. The next one is my favorite for the same reasons you liked this one, the fight scenes. Just remember not only tweens and teens were all about this movie. The 40+ year old moms were pine'n over Jacob which was socially accepted for some reason. You switch the genders up and then society has a problem, the world we live in.

If I'm remembering correctly, when he forcefully kisses her in the book, he gets so angry at her rejection and her trying to fight him off that he grabs her and tries to hold her still to continue to forcefully kiss her until she gives up and stops moving.
