1: What are you even talking about? I don't mean to sound like I'm calling you old, but gender, race, and sexuality are not political topics anymore. The show is not "woke" until season 4.
2: The character-writing and emotional scenes in this show are top-notch, the acting is astounding, and the way they tackle the flaws of the heroes AND villains is consistently well done. It's an amazing show and you have to be out of your mind to have such a backwards view on something just because of politics.
