Weight doesn’t change efficiency much unless your trip is strictly uphill or downhill. On level ground or rolling hills (where the overall elevation change is pretty small) the change in efficiency is minimal with just added weight.

    • @larsw.larsen4173
      @larsw.larsen4173 2 года назад

Efficiency trade-offs in electric vehicles differ from those in conventional cars-the latter showing a strong dependency of fuel consumption on rated engine power. Mass-related efficiency trade-offs in electric vehicles are large and could be tapped by stimulating mode shift from passenger cars to light electric road vehicles. Electric passenger cars still offer potentials for further efficiency improvements. These could be exploited through a dedicated energy label with battery capacity as utility parameter.

the zoe and twingo also do this. You park it with a state of charge and in the morning you're in for a surprise. One time, I parked my zoe with 30% battery. Left it over night and in the morning: 20%. It's always like this. Sometimes even after a short time, like 2 hours, the battery will drop a few percentage points.
The consumption is so low because the car calculates it based on how the SoC changes. The zoe takes forever to go from 100% to 99% SoC, in this case you will literally have 0.0kWh/100km consumption for about 10km. After a certain point it starts calculating correctly. I believe it's the same thing with 0%. You drive with 0% and technically, for the car, no energy has been spent since there is no change in SoC, you can't go below zero. What the BMS does is different from the gauge cluster so you'll end up with weird consumption from 100%-99% and from 0% to stop.

A friendly advice before U gonna sign UR mass new purchase orders for this make.
We'been working on Renaults un the past 3.5 decades.
Electricity has ALLWAYS been a major issue with them. Notably, the eternal IT bugs in the latest models since 2016...
Bjørn has just experienced some of them on this tip-top 100% EV "press version".
Let me share an obvious secret: they never gonna fix it, and not because of the "frenchy" logic of all French automakers (as the Brits call it).
    Oh boy, no. No-no-no!
Because of unit profitability vs. serious quality issues that might eventually trigger mass recalls.
These IT(majorly hardware quality) issues aren't detrimental; thus, literally nobody gives a sh*t.
Same issues with FIAT, FORD, VW, "cheap" luxury Grrmans etc...
That's why Koreans&some Japanese, Spainyards, Czechs are more popular in those domestic markets.
    Even in Germany!
Renault is extremely well prepared for comfort&outlook, longevity of woven/plastic materials etc...,but man: GOOD LUCK WITH IT AND with its MICRO ELECTRICITY! Particularly, after a small ("reparable") crash with such a hard and almost pure plastic make!
It's not the fault of the repairshops; often they are really good and nice, but the product philosophy behind all.
I would rather go for a Kia or Toyota if money and reliability are the principal drivers @ my acquisition.
But, this is my hansolo opinion, after some years I spent with Renaults... nothing else.
Enjoy very much this channel with Bjørn! Really fascinating, BIG THX4it;○}!

Does the charge cable release button always work, or is it disabled whilst the car is locked? How can I stop someone stealing my cable @teslabjorn
