Hello, Thank you for the video. Looking at the foam replacement, you mention replacing the "foam". On the website there is... 1. Foam padding 2. Sponge Foam padding Which one do you mean? Just want to double check. Thank you.
VCR's, flat screen tv's, cell phones, and dvd players were all super expensive when first released. Wait a couple of years, and these will come down also!
Yep, Jan 2024 here and looking to get my first fpv goggles. Only reason why I’m considering these right now is because they’re $200-$300 second hand. Leaning towards either walksnail googles x or dji integra right now though.
I'm kinda surprised that they didn't include the new foam with the V2's. 1. It would make the V2's slightly more different than the V1. Since the really isn't much change. 2. Since it seems 90% of people who bought the V1's complained about light leak and poor fit, you'd think they'd want to eliminate that huge con on the V2's. Would have been an easy upgrade for DJI, to a goggle that really doesn't have much difference, to offer from the originals. Oh well. 🤔🙁
I purchased the DJI FPV when it first came out. I'm wanting to get a Cinewhoop but i am wondering: Do the DJI FPV goggles and remote, that CAME WITH the DJI FPV drone work with random cinewhoops?
Ken those nub antennas on your v1 are not really considered to be better at longer range than the stock, the reason why people like them is that they take up less space and that you can fit them into the carrying pouch much easier.
@@OriginaldoBo Kinda makes you think if those stock antennas on the v2 are really the same since they need to work at 2.4ghz and 5.8, right? Also would any of the aftermarket antennas that are out like the ones you have on your v1 would even work with the v2 when flying the DJI drone?
Decent improvements. Not much to buy on its own IMO if you already have the V1 goggles, but definitely a must-have if you're looking at.. ahem.. future DJI releases.
I have fatshark skyzone and v1 dji fpv system. The one thing I hated about analog systems I was always waiting for the next up grade to get that 3% better preference for $500+ dollars lol. Bad part about analog is that after you spend $500 your goggles are the same from day one to the time you upgrade. When I moved to dji I pay $500+ but in the time I have had them dji I feel gave me a free $1500 value from all the updates they gave me. From the time I got my dji goggles I can say they are 5 times better now from the day I first got them. I do like my fat sharks but fatshark only gives you something better if someone comes out with a new goggle that beets there flag ship and then you pay $500 more just to get that 3% better.
The Windows problem has something to do with the the Genuine Program licensing that Windows gives out to companies. DJI's has apparently expired. I followed the Regedit tutorial and it fixed the issue of the program not opening.
Same problem for me with the macOS DJI assistant. Freezes at the upload stage. The windows DJI assistant is infected with a Trojan of some sort, which is why it won’t work at all. I did get it to work on a old windows machine that didn’t reject the infected assistant tho. Also, the Mac DJI assistant works fine with my DJI controller, so it’s specific to the goggles.

Thank you Ken, well done👍 we still waiting in Europe for the V2. You think the iFlight patch antenna is worth for V2? What about strap mount? Should we get a special one for this battery and short cable?
I have a question for the DJI FPV and “coordinated turn” setting in the goggle in S mode? What is it used for? not finding much that explains. Will this allow an orbit around an object or is it just a smoother bank?
Its probably possible in a hacky way, just gotta find a way to get the video from the smartphone and feed it into the AV IN port on the goggles. Probably possible with adapters and stuff...
I really want to convert my quads to DJI caddx air units but I'm hesitant about the V2 goggles. Maybe I missed it but I'm still unsure about how to download the newest DJI assistant which it seems many are having problems with. How did you finally do it? I really want this. Hey great video man, I apologize I’m new to FPV. I was flying with the V1,s and got a signal drop not very far from me. Is there any settings I should change or maybe be running? ThNks!
For myself everything hinges on the next firmware updates. I'm most interested in if my v1's will get app video out support. Other than that I don't care for 6s support or larger memory card support or support for the new drone. Range is no different you can get 8km+ on v1's with dual band 50Mbps mode which is plenty.
Exactly on a 1800mAh 6s a 5" can travel a total distance of about 16km if you slow cruise at less than 200 watts. So assuming you flew in a straight line and turned around and came back that's enough lol. 😄
Thanks for the information & Review 👍 looking forward getting mine soon from Drone Works . Will be my 1st Digital goggles. I’m upgrading from my cheap box goggles
Why not just make an app for the quest 2? I'm guessing because you shouldn't expose the lenses to the sun. Maybe when pancake lenses become standard in VR it will be possible, I don't think they'll magnify the sun and burn out the screens as much as current tech.
This type of connector bullshit is why I don't want to wade into a proprietary system where they think they own you. It's bad enough people have to 'actvate' and register shit with that company. I could grab a used pair of V2 googles for $500 but honestly I think I'd rather put a couple hundred more into HDZero goggles.
Will be pushing for stock updates weekly on V2 goggles drone-works.com/dji-fpv-goggles-v2/

I found a major firmware flaw with V2. When switching modes from drone to air unit and back, you have to re-bind everytime.
The one thing I would upgrade for is video out without needing the smart controller. Once I see it done I'll be getting a pair.
