Seems nice, but until they get compatibility mode with O3 and/or Vista sales will be low. Or the O4 air unit must go out for custom FPV setups.
is the dji goggles v2 compatible with mini 3 pro? with out modification?
Great overview Billy.
great video!
The Goggles 3 are the best DJI has ever released. From the way they fit perfectly, to the incredible optics which allow to see everything in great detail. I'm very happy with them. Great overview Billy, and thanks for sharing.
Except they have a shorter diopter range. And they fit… ok, but not great. And the front facing cameras are useless. And compatibility is subject to DJI and their fickleness.
But other than that giant list, yeah, they’re great 🙄
Hows the picture quality compared to the old ones?
Too bad they are incompatible with most of DJI's products.
Just ordered the Goggles 3 for my Mini Pro 4. I'm amped up. Can't wait.
I know you touched on the picture in picture function. It doesn't seem important to most. But to me it's a huge feature. I like to see my surroundings while flying. And not having to take the goggles off to look at something, like your chair. Is important. Wish there was more videos about this feature.
The issue is the fov of those cameras is like 15 degrees
I just got the goggles 3 with my Avata 2 and the real view feature is a messy gimmick.
It would have been much better imo if they didn't bother with cameras and just let you flip it up like a face shield/ welding mask.
Hi, Billy. Thank you for the comparison(s)
~External Cameras: Sacrifice the front camera view of the Goggles 3 and offer an option you can lift the Goggles up and just see what's in front of you while the head strap stays in place.
~Pictures & Picture: Offer option to swap views. Small screen to see what is in front of your face and the large display to see what the drone sees.
~Rubber Seal: An option of a foam insert to remove the thin rubber for a little cushion would be a real plus. When I am using them I can see the thin rubber on the outer part of my eyes and it's pretty annoying when flying.
~Strap & Battery: Make the strap a little longer for those of us with big heads also, giving us an option to swap batteries again like we could with the Goggles 2, just not as sloppy with the wires and junk we have to wrap around the straps.
I documented my middle age self flying the Avata 2 for the first time in the FPV world. Released that video on my channel today. The motion controller makes it so easy for anyone to get into FPV for the first time ever.

Yes, they really need to implement the vision assist into the goggles asap!
Excellent overview Bill! The goggles 3 are the first goggles that I'm comfortable flying with. DJI just keeps getting better!
I purchased mine a few days ago. The are good but you can only video at a frame rate of 60 fps (HD and 4K). As I do not have an Avata ( only a Mini 4 Pro) I had install the latest firmware using my the fly app on my phone. I had a lot of problems connecting the phone with a standard USB data cable. You have to connect the googles to the supplied OTG connector or it will not connect!
The fit of Goggles 3 are excellent and FOV should work right for most eyes and faces. DJI finally got it right getting eyes closer, and the design allows for some flexibility to fill-in with the foam sleeve if necessary, since the forehead-pad acts as support. However, I think it's a shame that so many initial reviews of Goggle 2 a couple years ago were silent about the original optics and comfort... I'm talking about the the ones with the red marks on their nose/face but glossed over it - you know who you were! 😉 With how much experience DJI has in the field it is surprising that it took them 3 iterations to get here, but I guess the third time's the charm.
Hi, Can You transmit the image from the glasses without telemetry information to another screen. To do live broadcasts?
I use the Picture in Picture function when I want to make sure no one is standing next to me holding a bat ready to swing because they walked up on me using remote ID
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It would be best if an observer was used when wearing goggles.
You’re on a roll Billy.
you're
@@SoundOfYourDestiny I know the correct pronunciation. I was mobile on my cell. But thank you.
Question is do you do this on every comment you see mispronounced???
If so, “you’re” going to be a busy person.

The googles 3 are really comfortable and I love the fan option. But yea I agree with you that I feel like the Goggles 3 seem to be missing some functionality. There is an option in the settings to turn on the map, but I have not figured out to get it to come up.
Hi Bill I really love your videos. I watch them all the time and learn a lot thank you. I have a quick question. How do I download videos I take from my goggles 3 ? I set my Avata2 to record both Drone SD Card and Goggles to record but only my drone so card records and not my goggles 3 . My settings are correct and I have so cards in both. Can you please help me out thank you.
Well for me one whole side is wasted because I am blind in my left eye. That being said I am able to adjust the right side to an acceptable focus so that I can see and fly without issue.
Hey Billy. I would love to see a Waypoints tutorial video especially on how to do a video with combined clips over a years time sometime
When are they gonna make a DJI Avata with binocular twin main cameras?
Would you say goggles 3 o4 is worth upgrading from the integras 03+? I intend to fly the Air 3 with integra. Haven't opened the Integra goggles yet...
We need this goggles to be compatible with air unit o3
Its such a shame there is no downwards compatibilty to o3. I would love to use them for the mini 3 pro or the o3 air unit since the o4 air unit is not even anouncef
How do the visuals appear compared to the first Googles? Personally thought the old white ones was quite blurred.
Can you please explain to me where exactly is the spot on googles that with double tap you can switch in real view???Already two days i'm trying to find it.....but no results!!
Good review Thanks
Hello. I have the Avata 2 and Goggles 3. Is the controller 2 conpatible with goggles 3? I cannot find a way to pair them
HI. Im getting mixed signals. Apparently the new goggles 3 and motion controller 3 are not compatible with the flagship Mavic 3 pro? This seems just incredible! Is this your understanding?
I need a SquareSpace
Honestly, i actually prefer the touch pad for the menu than the button one
Such a dick move to not make them compatible with the Mavic 3 Series…
Standard DJI behavior.
They did the same with the O3 system
@@Victor_Vitishko I wonder how many sales they've lost for this bullshit, vs. how many it has earned them. I have not spent THOUSANDS (maybe approaching five figures) of dollars on DJI because of this behavior. I keep waiting for them to pull their heads out of their asses, but every time they shit the bed again.
can you have another viewer/co pilot watch with another googles?
Which FPV goggles is compatible with the Mavic 2 Pro?
can i still use this goggle for diy drones?
I assume you cannot wear normal prescription glasses together with the Goggles 3?
Nope, but you can get special lenses if the correction of the goggles is not enough
They left out Mini 3 Pro support for Goggles 3?
I don't own these myself, but from other reviewers, you *CAN* remove the antennas and the fan does NOT defog the goggles.
I have the goggles 3 and I live in the Philippines where it's high humidity and outside the goggles easily fog up when I am sweating and the fan defogs them almost immediately. It's a must have in places with high humidity.
I can’t see with these what should I do
How about the 3D feature ?
I purchased the goggles. And it said that that’s compatible with 03 air system. I have a vista system and can’t get it to connect. Anybody have any luck on either system?
Is it compatible with o3?
No not (yet) compatible. No one knows if or when they'll ever make the step...
Your town is under never ending reconstruction
DJI is going VR with googles
What you mean because this us a big downfall with 3 no tv link or vr do you think they be an update for this ?
Nice video! Goggles 3 is only for using with DJI Drones? Can we use with PC or some other things/console?
Nope. No video input. They make this same mistake over and over, and Apple of course did too by making a $3500 video-display device with no video input.
Time and again, DJI has made their new releases incompatible with all previous DJI products. No disrespect, but what makes you think this will change in the future? I'm dying to purchase the DJI Mini 4 Pro, but i don't need the entry-level level controller that comes with that drone. Not to mention, the entry-level Mini 4 controller does not work with any of their newer products that I have purchased.... probably less than a year ago. I have the Mavic Air 3 also, so I don't need to pay the additional cost for the entry-level level controller that comes with the Mini 4 Pro... you know what I mean? lol. I love all your videos BTW and thanks for taking the time to put together the great resource of information provided on your site :)
As a foot note. About the only time that DJI went out of their way to make one of their products backward compatible was with their $1200.00 RC controller....at that time it was the only controller available by DJI that had a built in monitor/screen. Thankfully, their new controllers today are affordable comparatively.
No way for tv or v.r big let down when just a big lump of plastic when bad weather
No removable antennas? That's really a shame for people who fly long range on DJI.
The rf transmission level of the dji goggles 2 is twice my wifi router. Wearing the goggles 2 is like strapping over 2 wifi routers to your head, that can't be good. I would be happy with a remote transmitter, not 1" from my brain.
RF does not ionize till about 200W or so. Your wife will do a max of some 100 miliwat, the goggles 3 a max of 1600 mw. A microwave is 500W or a 1000W. Don't stick your head in the microwave and you are good. You know which also blasts RF at you? The sun. At 1370 watts per square meter. Some 1000x the power of your avata 2. Do you allow sunlight to shine on your head?
Try living in a city with 50+ WiFi networks right around you.
@basti7551 the power output of that is lower, than 2 wifi's strapped to your head.
Ecosystem? That'd mean the the goggles would work with o3 which it doesn't
Damn you DJI, just take my money already, go on…take it before I change my mind
TAAAAAKLKKKKEEEEEEEE IT
First!
I will not upgrade to the goggles 3 until DJI makes the "VISION ASSIST" available! Come on DJI...the goggles where you REALLY need this functionality! Just a thought, but maybe they're concerned it might negate the requirement for a spotter. Let's hope not.
Looked at and wont buy for 4 reasons.
1. lack of vision assist.
2. lack of interchangeable antenna
3. crap tastic limited -2 diopter correction.
4. stated limited support. DJI state will be only supported till 2026.
What ecosystem? These aren't compatible with the vast majority of DJI's products. So, want to use these with the O3 transmitter module? NOPE. Or any of their other existing products? NOPE. Same blunder from DJI over and over, every time they release goggles or drones. Another unfortunate mistake is not providing video input. You could use these for all kinds of cool things if they had video input... especially 3-D-capable input.
DJI is just a making money machine, and we are just getting addicted to technology, this is really unacceptable that I have brought the Avatar so I can use Googles2 that came with it to fly my Mini Pro3 but not with the RC2 only the RC-N1 using my Iphone but no Googles2 when with just an update DJI could make them talk to each other. I love flying my drones but do not take everyone for a fool.
Well, if it's so easy, why don't you go ahead and code that "update"... There's a lot going on in the system that you don't understand. It isn't about DJI being "evil" or whatever. They have nothing to lose as evidenced by the fact that the Goggles 3 does exactly what you're bitching about. If it was purely about money, the Goggles 3 wouldn't be usable with the RC2 and the Air 3/ Mini 4 Pro.
@@londenard Pure Conard, It seems you are one of the Addicted, This is their systems and Yes they have full control over their coding, I know what I am talking about, you are just being the penny advocate 😂.
@@tesimpamonami9188 Right... I don't know anything about drones... Hahaha!
@@tesimpamonami9188For one, you cannot even write a proper sentence... but onto the facts.. don't cry that you didn't inquire before making your purchases... different systems, different hardware and coding. You didn't investigate before purchases.. that's on you.
@@carlose6010 I see, this one is a Grammar teacher .... I was just making a point, Conard, I speak more languages than you would in two lifetimes. You are to dumb to understand my point case close.
So they're trash
Goggles 2 design is so ugly. And now with goggles 3 I can't even describe it, really awful.
Stop crying
Dji goggle 3 is piece of crap ? First problem is :your eyelashes touching the lens and loss focus . Second problem is : fog up so easy, even with your goggle fan on . The third problem is : goggle gets overheat and battery drain very fast with fan on .
for the first problem: you can insert the extra padding included. the rest are true. plus i still dont know how to use the 3x lend with the google.
Thank you for your comment
Use an auxillary battery with a cable. They are balancing from, fit and function. If they put a gigantic battery on it it would just be heavy and gangly. Completely make sense to me for them to cut the battery back and allow you to use a battery pack you can clip on your belt or what have you like in the old days. Not really an issue to me but to each his own. Cheers
