The late night shows today are nothing more than politically motivated propaganda. Jay was fair to everyone and truly funny.
Jay was the best, he did make jokes about some politicians, but it was just about the joke and not politically motivated. Now it’s not even comedy anymore, most of them just act like immature idiots.
On his memorial show for Johnny Carson he said how Johnny had told him that political jokes are okay, but not to become a pundit. Nobody seems to have told that to the current bunch.

late night tv just isn't the same without Jay. Back in 1982 I had the chance to meet Jay and his wife Mavis. Jay was down to earth, easy to talk to and get along with.
Man I miss Jay so much. Nothing like watching his show on New Years eve. I wish there were more clips of his show on RUclips, but I guess NBC has taken them all down. Greedy jerks.

This is rightly hilarious and fun. I wish they would take the NBC management and seriously hurt them on camera for ditching Mr. Leno.
Leno is the funniest comedian ever, love him. He never failed to make laugh in every signle show he had. Way better than Conan or Fallon or Letterman.

So do I, man, so do I. He never failed to make me laugh, be it the monologue, the sketch, or the conversation with guests. All great. Now it's just a crapshoot.
I was always wanting to see his street interviews, but I can't remember what those segments were called, anymore. It's been a while.

@Bintshovel In all honesty, everybody kinda screwed up when that happened. CNN did, Jay Leno did, Lots of people did. And now you got people all over saying things and not even thinking twice about it. They go around supporting the worst things, death to the president, death to his party, and ruining the lives of so many people who agree with him.
Back when Jewell happened, everybody kinda screwed up. The FBI, The Press, TV hosts. At least history is trying to fix the wrongs of that.
Now with Trump, nobody has any real excuses, and they aren't just going for Trump anymore. They're going for the whole party, the whole belief-set, and anybody who remotely agrees with him or a single policy. And they aren't taking any of it back.
LOL! I love Jay Leno with all my heart. He is one of my fave people ever much less fave entertainers. He did political jokes just about every monolog. So I honestly don't know what you are talking about, my friend. I know this is a comment a year old, but I just had to say this.

I couldn't even tell you who's on late night IF anybody is. Saw Jay in person several years ago. He was hilarious as usual. Sure do miss him! Hope he's doing well. Love and miss you Jay - you're in my prayers

It was a verbal dispute. The audience loved it, but Reynolds was quite serious. It was about his divorce from Loni Anderson; he did not like the comment he received, so he lashed out.
I miss Jay also. But he has another show jays garage and it is awesome

your proply right but i think they should have the news before late night shows. last call with Carson daily should be lengthened. so it would be jay 9:00-10:00 conan 10:00-11:00 fallen 11:00-12:00 and last call which is which is currently a half hour ( so carsen cant relay do any thing with it) langthened to an hour so he would be on 12:00 to 1:00. this agine is central ctandered time

You fail to distinguish between the Levitical law (animal sacrifice, no pork, circumcision, etc.) and ten commandment law. In the very next breath Jesus says, at Luke 16:17, that "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fall." In other passages He says He has not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it. What gives? Were the law and prophets until John, like verse 16 says, or does every tittle of the law still bind, as verse 17 says? Is Jesus contradicting Himself?
No. At verse 16 Jesus is repealing the Levitival law. At verse 17 He is saying that the ten commandments, commandments made for all peoples at all times in history, still stand.

Back when comedy was funny. The only thing good about the late night shows now is they give everyone a reason for turning off the TV to get a good night's sleep.
