I was at the Toronto fun festival the night that the film showed there. My friend and I had gone for the previous movie, and decided to sneak out the back…right onto the red carpet next to Angelina Jolie. Within about a 10th of a second, two enormous security guards had forced us back to the theatre. about 15 minutes into the movie, the projector bulb blew, and they couldn't finish the screening because apparently changing a lightbulb in a movie projector is something that takes hours to do. They ended up rescheduling it for another theatre the next day, but Sasha Baron Cohen (in the Borat persona) improvised an entire live show for about an hour. One of the most memorable evenings of my life.
Martha Stewart is such a good sport to go along with that. 98% of female celebrities especially with such public images well at least at that point in her career wouldn’t have even entertained any of it once he made a sexual joke.
Thankfully no women were forced against their will to dress with clean clothes or bathe in any of these premieres. Body odor was fully allowed. Btw, Martha Stewart refuses to let Borat see the son they had together.
