Use to watch this every weeknight before been as a senior in high school. After headlines my mom would say time for bed. 98 was my senior year so I’m sure I was watching this episode
I love this old format; 90s talk shows .. excellent
Also, Leno was more lively with Headlines in the 90s compared to the 2000s and especially the 2010s. He became less lively with them over time.
@@finchborat aww i miss those old times. Nowadays u can pause live tv and watch any movie anytime. U lose the thrill of looking up at the tv lists and wait with popcorns for the show to come up
@@RStark-ek7mh do you believe those rumors? You can argue Clinton got far worse
@@RStark-ek7mh Obama was guilty of a bunch of sneaky stuff, but he didn't fire him.
Leno retired
Ellen Brown's techinical direction was never dull or complacent. I like how she would routinely take risks and try new and different angles during Jay's entrances.
What I wouldn't give to be able to have seen this when it was being taped.
Miss you Jay!
I sure miss this kind of comedy
The good old days
Me too!
I sure miss the simple times. Life just seemed better back then
Jay Leno did rhe best monologues on the late night talk shows. Other hosts like Conan & Letterman may have had better features on their shows, but for me Jay was unmatched when it came to monologues.
Great quality! Thx.
Thank you very much for posting this I love his headlines and it's great to see his monologue and the full episode. Especially being WPXI channel 11 Pittsburgh because this is where I watched it, living in Pittsburgh all my life. With sincere thanks.
Chuck
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving
My pleasure!
The crowd was absolutely rabid for Jay
man when late night was funny and unbiased!
Fun to stay up watching him
And the political material wasn't toxic.
Tonight Show starts at 38:15
Try now.
@@YesterdaysNews Yep. It works now. Thank you. Great upload by the way. I'm nostalgic about the 90s. Those were the good ole days. It's nice to see this again. 🙂
Kevin Eubanks was the best!
No. He laughs at everything Jay says.
WATCHED 5/6/21
a big ass easter bunny LOL
Wh.en late night talk shows were funny

Kevin Eubanks laugh
Look at you 😮
there's an issue with this video. If you scroll the timeline it shows what should be Leno's monologue/headlines/guests, but the actual video seems to be a local news show, with Leno not appearing on screen until the very end. It basically sounds like audio of this episode laid over a totally unrelated video. Very odd and I've never seen anything like it, especially because the timeline tiles show something completely different!
it appears that the video I'm seeing lines up with your last upload of the news broadcast from the same day this episode aired
That's because the video was edited down from a longer version. It sometimes happens. Just refresh or try again later.
38:15 is when it starts
@@musicman76enator That's not how it appears in my editing suite. Don't know what else to tell you.
@@YesterdaysNews For me the picture (not audio) of the Tonight Show starts at the 38:15 mark. I guess if one were to figure out when the audio kicks in you would have to guesstimate when the dialogue starts. I know it's confusing.

Only the coolest women love jodeling 😏
That monologue was so full of bombs it should be a war crime... or something. Cheers to the audience for flapping their flippers on cue every time.
