Pat is underrated. Bruford and Harrison get most of the Crim accolades but pats style has always been unique and his syncopation has always been incredible going back to his days drumming in studio for XTC.
@@lucasanfilippo5370 dumbest thing I’ve heard in a while. Seriously. Crimson never needed Belew to exist. Period. It was the direction Fripp took them in the 80’s. You realize they have a catalogue of music from 69-74 right ? And I saw every tour of every album Belew played on, was a fan of his in the 70’s and saw him solo multiple times. Cmon. The only member that crimson ceases to exist without is Fripp. It’s his band. Always has and always will be.
@@lucasanfilippo5370 I am not a fan of Harrison, technically he is an amazing drummer, but he's all chops and no flavour. Pat is awesome on his own, with Stick Men and also in the early 00's with KC.
love the comparison. huge DEP fan. I'm a big fan of all KC eras, and am continually impressed by the 2000 era tone...dark as hell, weird electronics all being interacted with between Trey, Pat, Robert and Adrian. Always good when Levin's around. Insane this is 3 people.
Superbe !
So happy that I'm going to be able to see them play in Indiana during August. I doubt Pat and Tony would come back to Indiana with King Crimson during the fall shows, but that's a concert I would really like to see.
Did Pat just say, "We're going to do a CRIM song?" Jesus Christ man, don't fall into the Vortex of Moronic Abbreviations. Just because all the other sheep are doing doesn't mean you have to as well.
Pat has just continued to grow and grow as a drummer since I first saw him in Crimson in 1994. What a great player.
Did you know he was also in Mr. Mister?
My new favorite drummer
@@synthonaplinth5980 In addition, he played drums on XTC's Oranges and Lemons (1989).
Also with David Sylvian, where he met Fripp

Michael Giles was awesome too
@@superslayerguy every crim drummer was killer. Ian Wallace oft overlooked was really special too.
I dont give a shit about Harrison.. Crimson ceased to exhist when Adrian left, so Harrison pratically never played with Crimson..

Yea, one of my favorite KC compositions. Gotta hand it to Markus for holding down 2 guitar parts simultaneously.
Great rendition of Larks V . . . err . . . Level Five.
Yes... i see what you saw there ...hmmmmm
Tony Levin - OG LEGEND
6:40 could be Dillinger Escape Plan or Tool . These guys are monsters , love it !

This is absolutely amazing
wow! love this track , it's absolutely mental. Makes the hair stand up on my neck
Markus Reuter is unbelievable!
I saw them Live last night. It was so fucking good
Great Stick Men !! they came years ago near Barcelona (Spain) It was a great concert !! Greets from Spain
Jero Sons - Jero Castellà Astralic
yes but he sound was extremely high, in teatre Coliseum.
Lothar La Murtra I Was in Factoria d Arts ( Terrassa , near Barcelona ) it was 2010 it was great and i had a chance to speak with Toni and Stick Men
What an instrument the Chapman Stick is !!! In the hands of skilled musicians like this it’s incredible (a great song helps too tho) !
And let us not sell short the equivalent beauty of a Touch Guitar.

Levin, Tony Levin
Tocaron en La Plata on Septiembre 4,version cuarteto con David Cross on Violin ,gran show de Tony and Part of KC band!!excelente
Going to see them live next month so excited
I don't even listen to them but I went because they were in town last night. It was incredible.
Moooortaaaaallll!!!!!!!
Long live to Tony Levin. He is increidble. Pat also great drummer and the other guy too
I met all three members at a Stick Men show at the Canyon club.

saw their KC Power to Believe Tour, they played this, and Stick Men's tour in Osaka, Luv this tune
This kicks much ass.
Why is this the first I've heard this? Good job
Now officially Larks' Tongues in Aspic V
So happy that I'm going to be able to see them play in Indiana during August. I doubt Pat and Tony would come back to Indiana with King Crimson during the fall shows, but that's a concert I would really like to see.
THANK YOU for coming to Denver, again, KC! Enjoyed the show!
Hola estuvieron en Rosario, grandes músicos, Show excelente, Tony saludos
Fripp y levin a principios de los 80s inventaron la musica del futuro.
Just Phenomenal
Waiting to see you guys in Chile in November!
I love this.Reminds me of Lark's Tongue only better.
@RDE Lutherie there is no Lark's Part 5 by KC! Level 5 is actually the 5th part in the series, it just wasn't named Lark's tongues in aspic.
This is larks tongue 5
Only 500 likes in 45k views... wtf ?
Folks are getting getting lazy ... this is free stuff and priceless with it... smh
I saw them play last night knowing nothing about them best 25 dollars I've ever spent
I love old dudes rockin
damn nice, SICK ;)
This track is heavier than when I quit smoking
Pat studied under the tutelage of Ginger Baker.
Voy a darles el mejor comentario: si estuviera vivo, le hubieran gustado mucho a Frank Zappa.
Math rock, baby!
I didn’t know Tom Waits had twin brothers...
I wonder about Tonys stick ?
great larks v game
Ты все еще крепкий старик, Розенбом
Markus Reuter and Pat Mastelotto look similar :/
so?
I thought they were twins until I read the credits.
starts at 0:50
This version sounds so much better than version played currently by KC. KC version lacks its power
Why am I getting Cannibal Corpse vibes from this? It's both grim and beautiful
Pat plays only half of this.
Bloke's only got two arms 🤗🤗
If there was a way to give 10 likes at a single click to a YT video, this performance would be worthy
México!!
The Stickmen were a great Philadelphia band for about 20 years. All the pretentious polyrhythms can't change that.
...more like Level 10
Розенбаум, как всегда, неотразим.
The backing is great, but the guitar sound here is far too polite for this track.
Mucho dramatico.
Did Pat just say, "We're going to do a CRIM song?" Jesus Christ man, don't fall into the Vortex of Moronic Abbreviations. Just because all the other sheep are doing doesn't mean you have to as well.
Well you took that very badly
As an honorary KC member, I believe he has the right to say “CRIM”.
Peter Resetz not even honorary. He literally is a member. Also Fripp is the one who started the whole ‘Krim’ thing
KC police alert. Methinks you probably arent employed by the band though. Step back, bro.
How brave of you to comment on this very serious issue
