I almost didn’t click on this video because it was so short. However it’s perfect. No excess jaw jacking, just straight to the point. Thank you, Sir!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Great video. Straight to the point! For everyone else watching this who needs to replace the RTD probe: make sure that there's not a little plate that's screwed on from the outside behind the pellet hopper before you start pulling on the cables for the probe. If there is, you'll have to separate the hopper/auger/burn pot assembly from the barrel to get that plate off. Ask me how I know. 😂 When reassembling, don't replace that plate. Future you will thank current you (if you have to replace the probe again) when you can simply pull on the sensor cables and they come easily into the barrel without resistance like what's shown in the video.
I have the same problem with my Woodwind CL 24. No way to ever draw the old cable through the microscopic opening. Removing/separating the hopper/auger/burn pot assembly from the barrel seems like a rather complex operation. Can you describe what & how it worked for you? Otherwise I may just drill out the opening in the screwed on plate and route the cable through the bottom louvered plate. Educate me!
@@markspurgeon4556 pretty simple really take the grates off, take the drip tray out, undo the Phillips head screws on left side of the barrel and maybe a few on the bottom of the barrel, and it should slide right out.
Thanks for this video - helped me change the probe on my Woodwind. Almost missed the small plate on the inside of the hole. The tip about tying string to the old wires is INVALUABLE and ESSENTIAL. Fantastic work, thanks so much for sharing.
Very helpful video! Helped me get through a surprisingly difficult process. However, one thing: I absolutely could not get the screws out (holding sensor). Your model looks like mine, a 24 Woodwind, but I guess not...on mine, there's a heavy bar in the way that makes it really difficult to get in there to take out the screws, but I just noticed I could have removed it...DUH. If somehow you did remove it first, please let us know.....assume all of us are newbies like me!
Thanks for this. Mine is reading too low. Set to 225, says it's 225, but all external thermometers say its anywhere from 260-275 in the pit depending on where i measure. Burnt a few cooks this way.
I would have liked to see more detailed instructions on how you tied the sting to the wire. 3 out of 5 stars. Also, your watch strap is very distracting.

Ran into this halfway through and just said screw it. My grill is 4 years old. I'm running this wire through the outside and under the hopper.

@@markspurgeon4556 I'll respond back with greater specificity when I get a chance to actually look at the grill.

Glad it helped!
Broski! Awesome video short and concise 🎉

Same. Ruined some meat because of this.
This is great!! Thank u! Like others i ruined a perfectly good batch of ribs. Temp said 225 when it was actually 350+
I literally ruined ribs yesterday myself. So frustrating
@@lawrencefunderburk8214 ughhh, I feel ur pain. With the new temp probe my grill is working like a champ again.
I ruined some ribs the same way.
Thank you for the video. I am about to replace mine
Very helpful
Worked perfect. Thanks!!👍
