Tie a string to the old connector before fishing out and removing - then use that string to pull new connector through for install. 5 minutes, tops, zero hassle.
Thanks a bunch. Getting the sensor out of the Pursuit took the longest, glad I had your video. Not sure what happened but brand new grill had a sensor where one of the lines was ripped through. No wonder it didn't work!

A mouse was able to get in over the winter and chewed the cord in half. Would that cause the auger not to feed pellets? I'm replacing it ether way just wondering?
I know this is an old video but I'm turning my grill on and setting it to 250 using traeger pellets. Takes a while but good up to 365 degrees. Then a few seconds late I get a reading seeing SENSOR.. any idea what it could be
I don't know what model you have but mine is model PG24 and is different than yours. Mine is non wifi and plugs into the right side of the control panel 3rd plug down.
I have the same smoker. I replaced the control board because if I had it set at say 250 degrees, it would drop all the way down to 160 degrees. Did you have this problem too? If so, did a new sensor fix it?
Bought mine Thursday, got home and went through the feed cycle and sensor light came on after that. Called camp chef and they advised me to check the connection and clean the probe. OK , I will try that to fix my brand new grill.
Why are you having to replace it I have a brand new one I did the break-in I cooked Hamburgers on it and it won't go into shutdown mode no red light is this what happened to you??

Thanks for this video ! My brand new Camp Chef has a heat control problem. Camp Chef sent me a new thermostat but not one damn bit of instructions !
Did it work my brand new champ chef has difference of 40 degrees for the set temp camp chef is sending me a new thermostat??

This thermostat replacement is how you fix the "sensr" error

Does temperature probe give accurate readings if it's not perfectly centered and not touching the metal?
Tied a string to the end of the old one before I pulled it out then tied it to the new one and fed it right through! Did you rebundle the slack?
Did this fix anyone's issue with the camp chef not getting up to temperature?
