- It was so cold this week that the gorillas were free to enter and leave the room all day long.
I'm sorry it's hard to see, but Kintaro is very well playing with Gentaro in the room or playing alone.
But sometimes Kintaro notices that Genki isn't there and hurries to find her.

⭐️モモタロウ Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

I absolutely love watching this family of apes. I can’t help but to feel a bit sad for them as their concrete jungle seems very small . I wish they had a grass area with trees.
Mama Genki's back is getting a beautiful silver color.i love Kintaro's freestyle dancing.Hes now wearing Mom's food too.i just love when he holds onto her back when they walk.Genki is devoted to our Lil Bright Eyes!God bless you dear Genki.❤️🦍💙🌹

I think the place needs to be upgraded they need a bigger place open and need a lots of green grass that they can walk around the way i see they always scraping for green grass it seems the space is to small for them the building is okey but they need an wider open space like in the forest not like a jailhouse excuse me thats only my honest opinion
I get the impression it is a small zoo, and that they do the best they can, but I too wish they could have more space, a forest area and grass underfoot.

That is their new gorilla house opened in 2014. It's a small zoo in the middle of the old city of Kyoto. The zoo had a plan to build a bigger enclosure but they found ancient remains during a survey, so they needed to scale back their plan in accordance with the law. They don't have any space to expand, so they explained.
Kintaro is just the cutest little fellow and Gentaro is so endearing. What lovely young gorillas mum and dad must be very proud!!
Given today's climate in which so many people are enthralled with violence and conflict, it is so nice to see polite people wanting to watch, and comment on a silent soap opera of our gentle primate friends.

Oh poor mama Genki... she has to carry him while climbing the rafters. I imagine it's like my kids hanging on me when I am trying to get things done 😬 I am always in awe when I see them climbing up there....especially Momotaro.

Kintaro is the cutest. He couldn't get any cuter. Scares me when mom has him or her belly or just her arm up high!! I love watching him. I'm glad they finally left the door open. That was awful leaving them out in the cold. Kintaro was freezing. So sweet how he snuggles with mom . Gentaro is wonderful too. Great little family. I wonder if they will be moving Gentaro to another zoo so he has his own female. 🌹🌹🌹

These poor babies need vegetables. Okay so some fruits rot their teeth. But they need vitamins. When you put out just tiny bits of veggies it's not enough to power them through the day. Especially in this cold. Grass doesn't have enough of what they need. Please feed them more vegetables. Please. Gentaro needs toys. He's feeling left out, poor guy. This is a beautiful family, please treat them right.

Can you video tape zookeepers often placing all the fruits and vegetables in the areas that the family finds ? I think this would make some of us more at ease that the family is very well taken care of!!

I just have a pondering question, does the adult gorillas eat anything else besides just grass? Everytime I watch they're only eating grass, that can't be filling and nutritious. Seems they would need something more than just grass.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Momotaro beat his chest but Kintaro goes to do it a lot even though he’s a baby. Also Gentaro doesn’t either. I wonder why that it? Any replies would be great thanks.
