I had a baby tooth that never came in. My orthodontist said he could pull down into place. After 5 years, and several surgeries to luxate we decided to pull the tooth and place an implant. Unfortunately all the pulling created a cant in my smile I didn't have before. I had two bone grafts to add the necessary bone missing so that the implant would not concave. I think it might have been too soon bc the cant was not corrected b4 the implant was placed. The oral surgeon sd the tads would have to be above the root and too close to nerves on both the top & bottom. I think he just doesn't want to do them. Can they be used to correct the cant even if I have an implant?
I've got 3 key questions here, 1. What are the chances of the intruded upper incisors to relapse back after treatment? 2. Can this same method work if the patients gummy smile is caused by Vertical Maxillary Excess? 3. When is a maxillary impaction/osteotomy surgery required instead of your procedure? Please do respond. I'd appreciate your expert insight. Thank you.
I'm glad my deep bite isn't that deep. I pray I they don't give me something like this 🙏 I'll wear the rubber bands and retainers after just nothing like this please
