Thank you so very much! I was about to lose my first due to non stop rain and no sunlight to dry up their draining pot. I went to investigate to find no roots! I’m so relieved to find your video! Thank you again!
Thanx for sharing. Now I have to try this. I got 2 leaves of peperomia a while back and rooted them in water, but it took foreeeever. So I can't wait to try this :) Thanx
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I haven't had any luck with propagating my Ripple Leaf Peperomia. I tried the leaf-in-wet-soil technique with wrap on top and spraying the soil continuously. I don't know if it was getting enough air that way as the soil after the initial watering, never seemed to get dry at all. It was very moist for 3 weeks straight. I left it on my windowsill with plenty of light. The perlite in my soil mix turned fluorescent green. I also have some cuttings that have been in my propagation station now for 3 weeks and absolutely no root growth whatsoever.
Wow! That was super easy. Last week, I cut mine back. Some of the leaves had gotten really large & were turning yellow. Hope I didn't mess anything up! Thanks again!
I just got some rescue peperomia knowing you had such success with your peperomia propagation. Should be fun 🙌. Thanks for the inspiration, may be saving some plant babies today 💚
Thanks for the tips....I just bought two peperomias tomoorow and propegated the leaves that fell off....I put the whole leaf in soil and that is why it prob takes even longer....also put a chunck in water so I should try your meathod! Super excited thanks...I git a nice big picallo banda and a metalica! Yeah!
Ooooh exciting! I don't actually have a metallica but definitely need to add one to my collection - they're beautiful 🙃 Hope the propagation goes well!
i have peperomia sunrise...i only got it as one of my very first plants just a month or so ago.. it's doing extremly well.. seems like too well lol.. it's so full.. that im wondering if I should repot it to give it more space or if i should let it be, cause i'm scared and inexperianced :[] ...
Yaaayyy perfect timing! My heat mat is from Dr Grow - www.doctorgrow.co.uk and I've got a 10% off discount code for them: JH10 It's awesome - I use it for so many propagations to speed things up 💚
How much time do they take to root & grow into true plants ? Is there much time difference when on the heat mats compared to just indirect sunlight? Btw, I just found your channel and am really enjoying it 💚
So this process took just over a month for me from when I originally filmed the "how to" bit of this video - they're pretty quick once they get going. Indirect light is fantastic, the heat that a propagation mat provides just intensifies this, encourages humidity, and just helps to get the process going faster. It's fine without a heat mat too, just maybe expect to have to wait a few more weeks!
Awesome, thank you ! I have prop boxes, lights and heat mats, I was just curious about how much difference it makes for these. I truly appreciate your help, thanks again 💚
Hi Claire, Love your videos you are so easy to listen to. I've just sent of for some pilea watermelon leaves from etsy, which I was going to propagate in water now after listening to you I just don't know !? Maybe I'II do the 2 different ways 🤔
Thank you so much! If you want to try both ways you could always take a half leaf cutting, propagate the top half in soil and the bottom half/stem in water? I personally find soil the fastest, but water can work well too 💚
When I slice the leaf into halfs, Does it matter what direction I put those cutting into soil? Does it have to be a certain side,or doesn't matter which I place into ground? Really need to clarify this. If you'd be so kind to reply Claire, I never done tgis before and could use the wiser input
@@WxspStung Thanks for taking the time to respond to my Q🙏 Also wanted to ask,at which time intervals should I water the cuttings after it was placed in soil, any suggestion in that regard? Thank you kindly
thats so cool that you can do this with just chopped leaves instead of needing a node! Very cool thanks

Fab video Claire, such quick progress! I always use moss but am definitely going to try this way 💚
Thanks Helen, moss is also great tbh I just always like doing it this way 💚
Thank you for this video! How long, after you plant the cut leaves, do the tiny leaves start to sprout from it?
Wow! That was super easy. Last week, I cut mine back. Some of the leaves had gotten really large & were turning yellow. Hope I didn't mess anything up! Thanks again!
No it sounds like you definitely did the right thing by giving it a chop - now it can focus all it's energy on the healthy growth 💚
@@TheJungleHaven Yay! Thanks for responding. I just found you ystrdy. Subscribed! 🪴🌱
@@lovelyconundrum4221 Aww, thank you!

Another Fabulous Video Claire and packed with so much information❣🌺🌸🌻🍁🍃
Thank you! 💚
Will try this technique, love it!

Yeah im subscribed now 😂😂❤
I hope you’re doing well with the storm passing through!
Thank you! Thankfully it seems to be calming down now 😂
@@TheJungleHaven that’s good! My town got a pretty bad storm last week, lots of flooding.. luckily my family was fine

I cut my leaves in half the other way, will it matter?
I just purchased a "fuzzy-mystery " peperomia, variagated pothos? and a sansevieria Cordova varigated today. I hope you have videos😊
Nice and concise video. Will this method work also for Peperomia fuzzy mystery? Will it work in sphagnum moss too?
Thanks!

You want to place the cut side into the soil as this is where roots will grow from!

Hey Claire! What’s the hanging plant behind you?!
Hiya, on the left is pothos, on the right philodendron and the one is the middle is lepismium bolivianum 💚
My pepeeomia lost all it's roots because my soil was too wet! What do I do too get it to root again??
Does this work for all types of peperomia plants? Fun fact my daughter’s name is Joli but pronounced with the (J)
Yep, every peperomia plant I've ever tried this method on has rooted well. Aww - great name ☺️
I tried this but my cuttings got all moldy... What did I do wrong?😢
Me too!!! 😢
