Great video. I took my embroidery machine in to be serviced and also took my Singer HD in because the feed dogs would not stay up. I was told to toss it could not be fixed. I had only had it around a year. I told my husband I was going to take it apart, if they couldn't fix it then I couldn't hurt it any more. I sat down and started not knowing what I was doing but I did watch youtube ( I had not found you at the time ) But I found a lot of lint but I found a piece of broke needle in the gear. I took that out and oiled the parts I saw. The machine is sewing now but after watching your video I see I need to work on it more. The closest Singer repair shop is 4 hours drive from me and I don't walk so the trip is hard for me, it cost me around $60 to mail each way. Thank you for the info I may get it working better.
I recently got a Singer 44s Heavy Duty that looks very similar to the one you were servicing in the video. So my question is, are they pretty much the same machine? I mean as far as how I would service my machine. I like my machine very much and am a little fanatical about cleaning up after every use. But I do understand that small particles find their way into places they don’t belong. I really appreciate your videos. I’m learning so much.
I work in computers and I use a weekley pill box to put the screws in when dismantling. Like that, you have each screw type together and in the order they were removed. Thanks for the video.
I just scored a free Singer 5532 from a dark room in my wife's school where she teaches. THey were throwing out 5 machines and this was one of them. I'm looking at it and it looks brand new! I just started watching this video. I'm really hoping to start making my own outdoor gear to wear and share with family. I've never made clothing so this is exciting.
Thanks for the video! I volunteer at a non-profit that teaches refugees to sew. I maintain their machines. They used to use vintage Kenmores and Singers, but they recently bought 6 Singer Heavy Duty machines, because the students had trouble using a variety of different machines. So I've started servicing these HDs, 4432 and 4452. Your video is VERY helpful, as I've never worked on modern machines. Thank goodness these are mechanical machines not too different from vintage! I'm buying the pry tool set, as I can't get any of the tops off. Hope you'll do a video showing that!
Thank you for doing this. I have the 4423. I really love it and agree that it is simple. However, I needed to check things out and found you. You are by far the most thorough in you instruction and the most helpful. I even learned things by watching your videos about other types of machines. I think I will watch them all!
Oh my goodness! Merry Christmas to you as well! I just realized I troubled you on Christmas and you were kind enough to respond! What was I thinking? I had sewing on the brain! Peace to you!! @@sewingmachinetipsandtricks9079
Thanks for that. I’m mechanically inept - I have other skills - so this video was very useful. I’d suggest for people like me that all screws are taped to the bit of machine they came from! Or placed in a labelled envelope…My machine is the 4423. I have a Singer hand crank machine also, which is around 80 years old… It weighs a ton! Cheers from England xx
Absolutely incredible instruction, even for this non-mechanical sewer! I was so lacking in confidence, I didn't think I'd be able to get the covers off, especially the top one, as it was tricky. But I did everything except under the machine, which I'll save for another day. I learned a lot and gained major confidence. My machine is now purring like a ... well, like a well-oiled machine. I've loved my Singer 4452 since I bought it two years ago, but now I love it even more, knowing I can perform this maintenance myself. You are a patient, knowledgeable, and superb educator! Ten bucks coming your way (what a bargain!).
Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate that very much! I am very happy it helped you get into and service your machine. Thank you for the ten also, very much appreciated!!
This is a very useful video. It will save a lot of money and prevent many sewing machines from ending up in the trash. Many of these machines just need to be oiled and cleaned.
Singer Heavy Duty 4411 - This thing is the best low end sewing machine I've ever owned, which isn't saying much considering sewing machines these days. It does sew multiple layers of denim/ canvas, but it's so loud and sometimes I feel like it could go at any moment. I also have a very old 50's Piedmont. The thing weighs as much as a treadle but it's quiet and sews like a dream, it's just too slow for some of my needs. I need to service my 4411 for the first time, so thank you for this.
You are very welcome! Singer machines now days are loud and vibrate a good bit. When they need cleaning and lubricating it get worse, hopefully it will quite down and smooth out after it is cleaned and lubricated. Thank you!
I have a 4423. Thanks for taking the time to show and explain. I don’t remember the manual having any info on maintenance or about lubricating. I am starting into sewing, but I got sidetracked after picking up a few old all metal machines and what amazing machines they are. Now I am caught between wanting to learn how to repair/recondition and my original intent to learn how to sew! Both are are becoming satisfying hobbies. Thanks again.
I own a 4411, thank you for bringing this particular site to my attention. I've bookmarked it, subscribed, and given it a thumbs up. . . Vintage, all-metal sewing machines "rock"! So far my 4411 has served me well, and in fact, I was putting it to work, sewing up some replacement suspender straps, when you sent me this video. For me, I'll tackle a "simple" repair, and trust a professional for the rest. The art and skill of sewing is enough to keep this retired old man intrigued for as long as I'm graced with the ability. . . Love ya, stay safe . .
I don’t know if you work on this, but I enjoy listening to you because you only talk about what needs to be talked about instead of wasting my time talking about everything else. I have a singer HD0450S Heavy Duty serger and would love to see a video on troubleshooting and how to adjust WIDTH adjustments, timing issues and exact upper & lower looper measurements, needle measurements, etc. I would also love to know where I can buy a service manual, not just the operating manual. I had one for my old Brother 1034D but cannot find one for this machine. The manual isn’t very much help, and I prefer to have a hands on manual.
Thanks so much for this video. I have had my HD for several years and used it for heavy projects including all vinyl handbags. I have sewn through up to 8 layers of marine vinyl. It’s been a great machine but definitely needs servicing and I have never found directions for doing so. I’m thankful your video came up in my suggested videos.
WOW! I wish I would have found this video 2 years ago! I have this same one. After watching this I oiled my machine! I recently purchased the black Special Edition for my daughter. It’s a 4432. You are amazing. I never touched the special stitching dials. I sure will now. It is sad that machines are being trashed because it is cheaper to purchase a new one than to pay a repairman. Thank you for all you do!
I have to say thank you for your videos for the Singer Heavy Duty. I knew mine needed a thorough cleaning after several years of use. Finding your videos showed me how to get the covers off the top and bottom to clean and lubricate. Thanks again.
That is awesome to hear! Keep it cleaned out and lubricated, use the correct size needle for your project, change your needle if you think it may have a problem, don't pull your fabric and make sure it is properly threaded. Those few step will take you a long way in keeping your machine is great shape
I have a 4452. I thank you so much for this video because I’m not fond of the guy who services machines in my area. I really like like this machine. I have never had a problem with Singer.
One tip I wd add is that you cd actually use small pieces of masking tape to tape the screws removed to the piece they came out of -i.e. bottom plate, side plate, top, etc. That wd help in making sure the right screws went back in the correct places. Very good video overall.
I have a Singer Heavy Duty 4452. I like that it’s a mechanical device that is unlikely to throw any hissy fits that will give me a hard time. I really like it, especially the setting for sewing and overcasting a seam all at the same time. I’ve had it for a couple of years. My son just oiled the little oil wick under the throat-plate this week. I also like the simplicity in changing out the presser foot and I put a sheet of paper over the throat plate when changing the needle so there’s no way my old fingers will drop the needle down the needle hole. Thank you for your informative tutorial.
Thank you for that great tip on changing the needle! I am glad to have found this video as for what my local Singer store charges, I might as well buy a new one! Now I can do it myself.
Richard thank you for this video, very helpful for me to service my machine and resolving a problem. The problem was the upholstery thread was fraying because the needle plate was damaged. Well done.
I was wondering how you fixed that bobbin case, I was wondering if you took a straight edge razor and just cut that little mound off where the needle popped through.
I just bought a Singer Heavy Duty 6360M. I have never owned a Singer I learned by working at a fabric store that Singers came back a lot but people like the heavy duty. I’ve been sewing a lot of bags with vinyl and needed something with some more strength. Seems to be a decent machine
One of the biggest problems I see with them is they skip time when sewing heavy materials at fast speeds. the timing belt is a little small and is not as tight as it should be. It can be tightened with the idler pulley which can be reached by taking the bottom off
Thank you.. I bought a warehouse returned 4423 a couple of years back.. real cheap, and boy, it was new but messed up. I took it completely apart using the repair manual, fixed and adjusted, and have been sewing on it ever since.. love it! I will use this info for a refresh of my machine.. sure coulda used it back then.. so thanks again!!
This is awesome. This is my machine, and I have beat the hell out of it, never serviced. It's a great machine, but it costs as much to have serviced as to buy a new one! Now I can keep it out of a landfill, and learn a lot at the same time!
Good Morning @@tryzz8 There are many reasons reverse would not work especially from machine to machine. What machine are you having reverse problems with?
Good morning@@tryzz8, The 22 and 12 have two completely different reverse mechanisms 158 is a series number and should be followed by a dot or period and then the actual model number. Which machine or machines are you having reverse issues with?
Hi Richard your video is excellent. My machine is exactly like yours but it’s the 4432. I took out the two top screws behind the handle but did not see any others, yet the top will not come off! Is there another screw? I oil everywhere you showed but can’t do the top. Help please.
The main difference between the two machines. Singer 4411 has 11 built-in stitches which include 6 Basic Stitches, 4 Decorative Stitches and 1 auto 4-step buttonhole. Singer 4423 is more advanced in the number of built-in stitches.
I'm new to sewing, and after putting my Singer Start to the test for a couple of months, I now know that it's just not going to cut it. I just ordered the Singer Heavy Duty 4452 from the Singer web site. I want to be able to service this myself, and your video will be a huge help when I feel the need to do some light maintenance. It was also nice to see you put the machine through it's paces. Makes me even more confident that I chose the right machine to purchase. Thanks for making this video. 👍
If you manage to get singer service on the phone, they will tell you that the "heavy duty" only applies to the motor. I had one and took it back. It wasn't balanced well enough for the motor speed, and tried to shake itself off the table.
Thank you so much for sharing this! The best instruction vedio to repair Singer HD machines and best shown details video around. I have Singer HD 4423 ans was searching for a solution for my bottom thread get stuck, as I came across this I look at your instruction carefully especially when you note to turn the housing to the opening to get the bobbin case off and back on, amazing! if you have thread jammed problem and bobbins spinning or catching problem, pay close attention to this part. I was having problem with the bottom thread get stuck around the bobbin. This resolved my issue as I took out the bobbin case to clean I found that it was not sitting in the housing correctly so the needle and the hook is not working properly and got caught wounding around the case. I fixed the issue and reseated the case and now I'm back sewing!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you for your help 👏👏👏
Thanks for instructive video. My model is a Singer 4423 and I love having an excuse to get sewing on it. I fix all our clothes and my wife's clothes as well. I think it is a good machine. My mum was a seamstress when we were growing up here in the UK, her machines were always singer, when we were real young she worked a hand cranked machine, then on to a treadle operated and lastly an electric machine. She worked hard all day making clothes for factories, which I would find utterly boring but at the time just after the war things were tight to say the least. Thanks again for video.
Wow. A little overwhelming; but you did a great job at breaking it down, and explaining each step. 💜 I’m going to tackle this, this weekend! One question: you mentioned grease and lubricant. Do I need to be prepared to use grease? And if so, is there a recommended type? Thank you! 🙏
Awesome video! Thanks! I have a Singer Heavy Duty HD 6600 C. I got it as an early Christmas present. I really love it. We are getting comfortable with each other.
Great video! I learned something today. 10:46 - with that side cover off the pressure foot tensioner knob can (from fully down) rotate 36- 180 degree counter-clockwise turns until it threads of top of machine. With side cover in place, the knob can only rotate(from all the way down), 10 - 180 degrees counterclockwise, until the knob will hit the underside(top portion) of the side cover.
This was the most thorough, informative video that I have found! Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge with others! My 4432 will love me even more after this. Lol
Thanks so much for a demystifying and thorough walk through of the Singer HD service. After two years of fairly regular use and only bobbin case oil it was great to feel confident enough to open the Silver Fox (HD 4423) and give her some TLC.
Thanks very much for sharing this excellent video. I have a HD6335M and had removed the bracket to the left of the needle to remove the bobbin holder -- I then proceeded to drop the bracket + one of the screws into the machine. I was feeling quite scared about pulling the machine apart to retrieve the items, but your video made it so easy. Even better, now I know that I don't even need to remove that bracket in future. Anyway thanks so much, my machine is cleaned from top to bottom and I'm feeling quite empowered having done it myself.
Just bought a 64S and wanted to know how to take it apart properly to oil inside -- Have had a Singer 860 (diana) for many years (purchased new in 1981) and the manual actually showed you what to do. The manual for this new one doesn't so very much appreciate you have made this video to help us keep our machines in good running order!
This is amazing 👏 Thank you so much for making this video. My machine runs so quietly now that it's finally been fully oiled for the first time in its life.
Very helpful, I have had my Singer Heavy Duty 4452 for a few years and feel that it needs a service, I am going to have go at lubricating it after seeing your video. Thanks Barry Melbourne Australia.
Just a 'Thank You' for providing this comprehensive sojourn into one of these great machines. With a price point around $200.00 they have a generous number of features that were not previously available at this quality level. The servicing segment will help many people avoid unnecessary damage to the case. This video inspires confidence in one that they can do much of the essential work themselves. Thank you so much for doing this video. I have been able to follow all of your instructions, and clean and oil my machine 4411 with no help from anyone, but you. Thank you so much for doing such a great video, that is soooo helpful.
Great tutorial. I only needed clarification on removing the front cover from another video (tabs). Otherwise tis was the only video I needed to service my Singer 4452. Thanks A lot. 👍🙂
I’m just 15mins into this video and my jammed machine has relaxed. When cleaning the underneath, I heard a loud pop, I didn’t know where the sound came from and to my surprise, the hand wheel was free. I’m so happy.
Fantastic video. I had dropped a broken needle into a weird place and I couldn't find anywhere that showed how to take the case off and get the needle out of there. Thanks so much!
Thank you! My 4423 indeed came with with no oiling or maintenance instructions. Machine 10 yrs. Used quite a bit. I knew sewing machines need oiling on a regular basis so i had oiled wherever i saw moving parts. I hadn't removed top but had removed part of bottom before when a screw dropped down. Machine looked good. My grandmother and mother would have been proud (professional seamstresses). APPRECIATED YOUR VIDEO SO MUCH! Hard to find good thorough info on these Singer workhorses. I have a new Juki which i love, but the little Singer is just as fast and powerful. Glad I've kept it for zigzag capabilities and handy to have extra machine. There is one small issue with the Heavy Duty. When needle is set to the center (not left or right) it is not directly in the center
I have a 4411 and was able to follow you exactly step by step. My "AhHa" moments were how you removed the bobbin case, all the oil wicks Singer never mentions in the manual, tightening the presser foot pressure screw, and the button hole stitch length adjuster. Having previously removed the bobbin case by removing that little bracket, your video showed that I had tightened things up a bit too much since the top thread needs a little wiggle room to get past the bobbin case. That's now working well. I chuckled when the thread flew off when you were winding the bobbin. AFAIK, that vertical post is only for simple wrap spools, and the horizontal post is for cross wrap spools. One other thing that was different than what I had learned before was to position the spool so the thread comes off from the back of the spool. To me it looked like you put on the spool upside down. Great video though. Thank you so much for posting it.
Thank you very much for this instructive video. I'm moving and wanted to clean and oil my Singer Heavy Duty 4454 machine. It's going to be in storage for a few months, so I wanted to get it ready. I surely appreciate your instructions. TVS from North Pole Alaska.
You are very welcome! Yes that is a great idea to clean and lubricate before storing. Be sure to check it out thoroughly when you get ready to use it next. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you thank you thank you. I've been searching for a video to help me learn my machine. I sew for my job and it's a company machine so I'm trying to take care of it. You are very concise.
This video I live in small town and our repair sewing guy retired so I have to do myself and with your video awesome I can do it. Plus like bobbin and threading information I learned a lot on that too.. I have model # 4423
Hi, I have a Siiinger HD4452! I have been looking for this video for 4 years!!!!! This is my project for my next day off. Thank you so much for your time, skill, and knowledge.
Brilliant Video 🙂 Very informative I've done a sewing machine course and was looking for a service manual, Singer informed they only their technicians and authorized dealers have service manuals. Handy video as it's very informative on how to remove the covers, cleaning and where to oil is covered well. The only issue I had is with the top cover the very small plastic tabs are very fragile but the cover still is secure even though one has broken off, issue I seem to have with all plastic covers for machines no matter how careful I am.
Thank you so much for this detailed video! I grabbed one of these at the goodwill for 15$ I can tell it’s had heavy use and I’m going to service it per your video. I do so one issue with mine that isn’t something you covered: the stitch length is stuck on the longest setting even though the dial seems to turn normally. I’m hoping to see what the problem is once it’s open but I’ve never encountered this with a machine in the past. Crossing my fingers that I can DIY it!
I have a 4423. I had trouble with the bobbin case so i took off the needle plate to watch what was happening as it ran but the bobbin case kept popping out. Then i found out from RUclips that the needle plate holds the bobbin case in place, and thats why it kept popping out. I prefer the old metal vertical bobbin cases Very informative video with some nice tips, i will put my finger on the bobbin next time i thread it but i won't use the vertical post to wind a bobbin. Best explanation of when to change the pressure I have heard in 60 years of sewing. I only a few years ago learned to raise the foot while threading. Once i saw inside it's much like my older machines but i have never oiled a machine.
Thank you for your comprehensive servicing and operating video presentation on the Singer 4452 Sewing Machine. This is an exceptionally informative video for a machine my wife and I just ordered. I enjoyed it immensely and will keep the link to this useful reference, and will likely refer to it in the future. Great information for the DIY'er. Great job!!
I purchased a 5532 years ago and stopped using it because I was not pleased with the stitches. This video was interesting and I will watch it again. Hopefully, I can improve the stitches and not allow this machine to continue to collect dust.
Thank you for showing the different stitches. That has been the hardest part for me. Figuring out the settings to get the best stitches and which stitch to use for different projects.
I believe the 6000C is an electronic machine, unfortunately I do not have a video on the electronic heavy duty series but the mechanical parts should be the same or similar. Make sure to take plenty of pictures.
Thank you for a great video! It was just the info I needed while I was replacing the LED light on my HD4432. Managed to swat two flies with one blow: new LED and a lubed machine!
I appreciate how thorough your videos are. I have 2 Singers, the heavy duty machine being 1. You've helped me with the taking apart and cleaning of both and I thank you for that! What kind of grease do you recommend for the gears that move the feed dogs?
@@missygignilliat748 I personally use Triflow dry lubricant on the gears. It doesn’t attract lint. You can use most any grease (thin layers) I don’t recommend using Lithium grease of any kind as it dries up into hard chunks and can break gears.
I have a Singer HD105C, which nobody (not even Singer themselves) has any information about. Singer customer service said "well, it looks like it's similar to the HD110 so just use that manual". However quite a lot of the internals of mine are similar to your example here so I appreciate the video and the info!
Thanks you very much. I just fix my machine. God bless you for helping and very good information and explaining all that you do. make a big difference in the way you present this. Thanks again.
I would really appreciate seeing a video of servicing a Pfaff Coverlock 4862. I have one that is not completely operational at this point. I believe my taking it apart would not harm it any further, especially as it is sitting and not doing anything. Instead I am using a Singer HD 4452. I just watched your servicing video on the Singer HD 4452. I am so happy to be so fortunate to get the information you shared about this machine.
I really like my 4452, especially the speed. I have several fancy machines, but probably use this one the most. It was really dirty but I couldn't figure out how to get into the bobbin case. Your video was TERRIFIC and now my machine and I are very happy!!! Thank you so much.
Thanks again. Back from a couple of years ago for more oiling my machine. I've not taken the bottom off yet but I sewed a patch on a blanket and it left a gummy residue on my needle and sounded "off". I appreciate the help & guidance.
Thank you SO much for this informative and easy to follow video! I was ready to toss my machine, thinking that cheap Singers are throw-away items now. Before I did I watched your video, bought the correct lubricants and a can of spray air, and followed along with the video as I cleaned and lubricated the machine. It wasn't broken, it just needed some TLC! Oh, btw, my machine is a 4432. Everything looked the same inside, although mine doesn't have as many stitches as the one in the video.
Fantastic video! I have a 4452 that somehow slipped gears, the machine tried to advance the fabric when the needle was down with the associated timing and thread tangling complications. Used this video to safely take the machine's top apart and I was able to shift the belt drive while turning the manual handle to find the right position for the belt on the gear and the machine sews again! I'm not pleased with Singer's warranty or the machine's durability, but you've made it so I can repair those issues myself!

You are very welcome!!
Thank you for watching!
Nice explanation. I just had a problem with my 4432 and delivered it to service center, but by the next time I will try to major clean it up by myself
I have problem too
I have to say thank you for your videos for the Singer Heavy Duty. I knew mine needed a thorough cleaning after several years of use. Finding your videos showed me how to get the covers off the top and bottom to clean and lubricate. Thanks again.
I have a 4423. Just learning how to use it really and want to make sure I keep it in good condition.
That is awesome to hear!
Keep it cleaned out and lubricated, use the correct size needle for your project, change your needle if you think it may have a problem, don't pull your fabric and make sure it is properly threaded.
Those few step will take you a long way in keeping your machine is great shape
@Kase Kamden
Thank you! appreciate that!
I do that too!! I use the blue painter's tape and tape them down to the p lace they came from or write on the tape. Good comment!
I followed your directions step by step and oiled my machine. Thank you for your help ☺️
Your very welcome!
Thank you for a great video. Just gave my Singer 4423 a clean, grease and oil change and it’s sounding so much smoother. 👏 😊
What a wounderfull instruction timev.with an expert
Richard thank you for this video, very helpful for me to service my machine and resolving a problem. The problem was the upholstery thread was fraying because the needle plate was damaged. Well done.
Eugenie,
You are very welcome and thank you!
I am happy to have been able to help, hope you have a great day.
I was wondering how you fixed that bobbin case, I was wondering if you took a straight edge razor and just cut that little mound off where the needle popped through.
Hello Maverick,
How are you doing?
Yes that is exactly what I did then used sand paper to smooth it out.
use at least 800 grit.
It can be tightened with the idler pulley which can be reached by taking the bottom off
How to replace the light bulb? Mine is not working anymore. Thanks
The bobbin keeps sucking the material in. What do you think I need to do?
This is awesome. This is my machine, and I have beat the hell out of it, never serviced. It's a great machine, but it costs as much to have serviced as to buy a new one! Now I can keep it out of a landfill, and learn a lot at the same time!
Hello Richard, I had to come back and rewatch this video because We all are waiting for your next video.hope you make a new one soon.
Thank you!! I am working on 2 videos right now.
@@sewingmachinetipsandtricks9079 Thats great to hear. can you do a video on how to repair a broken reverse problem?
Good Morning @@tryzz8
There are many reasons reverse would not work especially from machine to machine.
What machine are you having reverse problems with?
the machines are all Kenmores, I have three of them. a 22, a12 and a 158.@@sewingmachinetipsandtricks9079
Good morning@@tryzz8,
The 22 and 12 have two completely different reverse mechanisms 158 is a series number and should be followed by a dot or period and then the actual model number.
Which machine or machines are you having reverse issues with?
What do you do if it's stuck in reverse? It's BRAND NEW, like just came out of the box new...
Me too, machine is always sewing wrong direction, 😢
Thank you so much for watching me how to service my machine! It feels good to know how to take care of it. It's running better than new now!
Hi Richard your video is excellent. My machine is exactly like yours but it’s the 4432. I took out the two top screws behind the handle but did not see any others, yet the top will not come off! Is there another screw? I oil everywhere you showed but can’t do the top. Help please.
Holy shit I learned alot from this video. And I’ve been sawing since I was a small child. 40+ years. THANK U
Mine is 4423
The main difference between the two machines.
"Heavy duty" with plastic gears lol. lame.
You are very welcome!
Thank you! I appreciate your comment and letting me know it helped you.
Thanks!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Wow. A little overwhelming; but you did a great job at breaking it down, and explaining each step. 💜 I’m going to tackle this, this weekend! One question: you mentioned grease and lubricant. Do I need to be prepared to use grease? And if so, is there a recommended type? Thank you! 🙏
Had to take off the entire casing for a project, this video is the only reason I was able to reassemble it, thank you!
Awesome video! Thanks!
I have a Singer Heavy Duty HD 6600 C. I got it as an early Christmas present. I really love it. We are getting comfortable with each other.
You are very welcome, and thank you!
Cool, I hope you enjoy your new machine!
I have that machine also
Great video!
Thank you!
Yes, you are correct but I’m not sure you would want to sew with it any higher than what the cover allows.
This was the most thorough, informative video that I have found! Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge with others! My 4432 will love me even more after this. Lol
You are very welcome, thank for watching and the comment
You are very welcome!!
Mike Kirwan - Kenmore, WA
You are very welcome Mike!
I am happy to be able to help people.
Thank you!!
This video helped me soooooo much. I followed your instructions step by step and now my machine is working fantastic!
Thank you very much!
You are very welcome!
Thank you, I am happy to hear your machine is running. That is awesome!
Fantastic video. I had dropped a broken needle into a weird place and I couldn't find anywhere that showed how to take the case off and get the needle out of there. Thanks so much!
I have a Singer HD 110 that I'm getting back from my son. Very informative, I will put your instructions to use as soon as I get it.
Thank you! My 4423 indeed came with with no oiling or maintenance instructions. Machine 10 yrs. Used quite a bit. I knew sewing machines need oiling on a regular basis so i had oiled wherever i saw moving parts. I hadn't removed top but had
removed part of bottom before when a screw dropped down.
Very, very useful lesson!
Thank you so mach!
Singer Heavy Duty is a very good machine!
Greetings from Israel!
My wife and I just picked up a 6620C. Getting to know the machine is just as fun as using it to make projects.
You are very welcome!
Thank you for watching
Thanks a lot for this tutorial. I managed to bring back Singer 4411 to proper working order ;)
This video I live in small town and our repair sewing guy retired so I have to do myself and with your video awesome I can do it. Plus like bobbin and threading information I learned a lot on that too.. I have model # 4423
If you need help with your machine let me know.
Thank you for creating this thorough video, I have followed the instructions a couple of times and it was very helpful
I definitely want to Subscribe. You know so much about sewing machines, it's like having school classes without having to drive to the college.
Hi, I have a Siiinger HD4452! I have been looking for this video for 4 years!!!!! This is my project for my next day off. Thank you so much for your time, skill, and knowledge.
Brilliant Video 🙂
Very informative I've done a sewing machine course and was looking for a service manual, Singer informed they only their technicians and authorized dealers have service manuals.
Great job!!
Omg thank you so much!!!!! I had the tiniest damage to my bobbin holder! The bunching was driving me nuts!
Thank you for this comprehensive tutorial on maintaining my 4452. Keep up the good work!
I just got the 4411 Heavy Duty. I'm so happy to find your video so that I can service it myself. Thank you!
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for your time and attention to detail with the camera work.
Your very welcome.
These details that you have presented are really, really useful. Thank you so much!
You are very welcome!
I purchased a 5532 years ago and stopped using it because I was not pleased with the stitches. This video was interesting and I will watch it again. Hopefully, I can improve the stitches and not allow this machine to continue to collect dust.
Thank you!
I appreciate your comment!!
Thank you for showing the different stitches. That has been the hardest part for me. Figuring out the settings to get the best stitches and which stitch to use for different projects.
I have the HD6000C I am a heavy sewer and I need to service my machine and you are the only person video I have found
I believe the 6000C is an electronic machine, unfortunately I do not have a video on the electronic heavy duty series but the mechanical parts should be the same or similar.
You can use most any grease (thin layers)
I don’t recommend using Lithium grease of any kind as it dries up into hard chunks and can break gears.
@@sewingmachinetipsandtricks9079
Awesome! Thanks so much!!!
I have a Singer HD105C, which nobody (not even Singer themselves) has any information about. Singer customer service said "well, it looks like it's similar to the HD110 so just use that manual". However quite a lot of the internals of mine are similar to your example here so I appreciate the video and the info!
Incredible video, comprehensive and everything was so clearly explained, thank you so much!
Great tutorial. Thank you for taking the time to make this
My son put me onto your site and he hit the subscribe for me. It’s after 2am so I will pick up the rest of your tutorial tomorrow.
Thanks you very much. I just fix my machine. God bless you for helping and very good information and explaining all that you do. make a big difference in the way you present this.
Thanks again.
Excellent video! I have the HD 4452 and this was exactly what I was looking for to help and I learned several things. Thank you.
4432 is my model. Thanks so much! Learned so much!
Your Very Welcome!
Hey man great video saved me $150 in maintenance
