I kinda find it interesting that Korean SUVs and crossovers are getting a bit rarer and rarer to spot on Philippine roads as time goes on. This is an eye-opener to the distributors to stop stripping out the jaw dropping specs from the units.
Caco, I can't wait for when you review the all new 2021 Kia Sorento. When you do can you review the top line variant without the electric motor on their hybrid model. As always, you deliver an outstanding style of review that has me smiling ear to ear. Cheers...
Got mine just today. I got a deal because of the 450K discount for the AWD Variant. Better than getting a top of the line Tucson. Enjoying the ride comfort... it is really a good Mid Size AWD Crossover that is powered by a diesel engine...
This is the lower spec model, here in dubai the higher spec is miles better, it has a V6 (300hp, 23mpg), nappa leather, panoramic sun roof, 20 inch rims, sound proofing, etc. Beats any mid size SUV (like montero, fortuner, everest, etc.) in terms of ride quality and acceleration by a mile. This is more comparable to a CX9, Pilot, explorer, and pathfinder (mid size CUV). Especially in the PH where the roads are extremely bumpy, mid size CUVs are the way to go if you don't go extreme offroading.
im loving the excellent telluride! kia truly is knocking it out of the park nowadays. gone are the days where the kia badge denotes lesser quality. sayang di available sa pinas yung telluride, it would most definitely make heads turn and put the fortuners to shame seeing that it costs roughly almost the same as the sorento. just my 2 cents. :D another excellent review mr. caco! keep it up! subbed! :D
Kia telluride is definitely coming. They are just patching up their Phil distribution as Ayala company got its exclusive rights over Columbian distributior/dealership. Telluride competes with the like of Ford Explorer/Mazda CX9/ Honda Pilot and its twin brother Hyundai Pallisade which I think is already available in some Hyundai dealership; powered by 2.2 CRDI. In the US its powered by 3.8 V6 gas. Hyundain Pallisade is priced roughly 3.2milPhp. Kia telluride most likely will be price around that range also. Toyota fortuner/ montero/everest/mux/trailblazer is a pick up based SUV whereas the telluride/explorer are mid size SUV configuration. They are in a different category so they will be pricec higher.
@@planetocean5075 o wow i didn't know that. msrp is really off the roof there huh?! i'm definitely loving my telluride here. traded in my 2018 rav4 for this beauty. i've heard people trading in their buick enclaves just to get the new telluride as well. its definitely worth the wait in the phils imo. im pretty sure it's gonna make quite an impression in phil. roads too!
Is it true that unlike the Kia Cars previously sold by the older group were all assembled in Korea the newer Kia’s sold by the Ayala Group are all assembled in China?
Probably the only thing missing for me is the digital center gauge, but overall thank you Kia for not removing Electronic Stability Control even on the 4x2 variant.
Make it fair. Just use the regular Ranger. The Ranger Raptor is already a different class all in itself. Plus the Conquest is just an overrated G-spec of the Hilux.

I have the Canadian EX+ `17 model & I can say that there are quite a few differences especially when it comes to features & of course the engine. But either way, you can never go wrong with a Kia nowadays. I just wished they could have price this a little lower though.
If they priced this lower this would already go up against the Sportage and other different classed mid-sized SUVs i.e. the PPV class. At most importantly, mawalan sila ng profit. It's already priced reasonably well especially when you compare it to it's real contemporaries i.e. the Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, Mazda CX-9 or even the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
@@dickmelsonlupot7697 I see... I'm not too familiar with the prices and the market of SUV's and PPV's back home but dito kasi sa Canada you get the bang for your buck especially sa Kia Brand. Nagtataka kasi ako kung bakit mas mahal ang price sa Pinas ($ to ₱ conversion) eventhough mas feature rich ang Kia cars dito... But I guess your right & isa na nga siguro doon ang market competitiveness among other things like taxes etc.
@@enchong03 The reason it's more expensive here is due to transportation, taxes, tarrifs and other fees. The reason why it's also cheaper in the US is because if I remember correctly, most Kia cars in the US are made in Mexico and Canada, the US and Mexico have a free trade agreement where no further taxes and fees apart from the usual. Plus the cost of transpo is cheaper due to transpo of cars are either through truck or train whereas the PH has to have them shipped via boat from South Korea which is much more expensive plus the duties and other taxes and fees are what adds on to the pricing.
He is right! I wish there are more options in the midsize crossover here in the country, the honda pilot left last 2018/2017, though the palisade is coming and the new explorer.
The Pilot has been overpowered by Land Cruiser so it became a sales flop. If only most people would take the risk of getting a car that isnt Toyota. After all, no car would last long without proper care
Why didn’t they bring the model with blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, sunroof, cooled seats and so on? They’re ripping people off
Pag version Ng pinas tinipid pangit Dapat cube light Ang fog light. Check mo sir Yung svx na model Ng U.S o Canada Yung Ang maganda. Wag masyadong oa sir. Masmaganda Kia telluride. Ang ilaw Ng mga Sorento dito nasunod sa manibela pag naliko.

How can you expect to filipinos to like this? Its very expensive. For that price, you would get the top of the line Sorento in other countries. I have 2017 Sorento, bought it for39500 usd (less PHP 2M). Has a 19 inches rim, touch screen infotainment system, paddle shifters, sunroof, etc etc. Not this very basic features but very expensive.
Hmmm... the exterior especially the rear feels a bit outdated. Parang lumang tignan. Engine is similar to the Hyundai Santa Fe but more expensive compared to Sorento. So i guess this one is a better choice in terms of price.
The CR-V is a different class. It shouldn't even be faced up against bigger beasts with it's tiny engine. The proper competition is the Honda Pilot and against the Sorento, is a better choice overall, cheaper and has more sold units than the Pilot.
AWD= drives on all wheels ALL the time, meaning di mo siya pwedeng ibalik sa 2WD. 4WD= drives on both all wheels and 2 wheels. Pwedeng I-switch from 2WD to 4WD
Yes. And the Sorento is cheaper by a long shot only because if I remember correctly I think the Explorer is sourced directly from the US hence the higher price tag.
It's always fun to watch caco doing his wits 😎🤔🔥
For me AutoDeal ph is still at top in car reviews.. Complete details explained and entertaining too 👍👍

Caco always makes me want to buy a new car. Wala ngang pera eh! 😭😭😭 What an amazing reviewer.
Ronald Caringal exactly 🤣
Kia really specs their cars badly for the Philippine market. In the Middle East, Kia’s have luxury car features for an average price.
Philippines dealerships buy low priced cars and sell high.
Philippines have higher price coz of train law. Middle East countries less tax.
train law tax na walang napupuntahan. nakukurakot lang ng mga pilotiko. tngina
Drove one of these. Acceleration is brisk in just 8 secs to 100kph. And it is nimble on corners.

the only thing i like about Korean cars is the engine, base on experience and by owning and comparing one.
fast and fuel efficient diesel engines
I know kia’s head of design is from jag, but man that front clip eerily looks like the f-pace 👀

Is the Honda CR-V also considered as a mid size cross over?
Most likely yes, along with CX-5.
Sir caco, euro 4 compliant ba to?
Will Telluride be available in Phils? I’ve been doing a comparison between that and Hyundai’s Palisade. Palisade’s Interior looks uber premium btw.
