If its collecting dust, send it my way. Im recording my podcast thru an ipad using GarageBand.. 🤷🏾♂️ But i bet this would make this process mich easier 🫡 The P8 is amazing from what ive seen in this video 👍🏾
i'd really like to have a quick feedback if possible; i'm about to buy this product and my question is: i have logic pro x; is it possible to record directly on my software 4 simultaneous microphones and each input separately? how to setup this; thanks
I do really understand why do they do it regarding Bluetooth - > 6:03. I would do the same. It was really wise of them not to devote one single channel only for bluetooth. Customer can decide if it will be needed. Besides comparing to Rodecaster bluetooth this one is high quality one and it's worth extra money. Phone calls through this bluetooth sounds amazing compared to the Rodcaster. I like this modularity. You can decide if you want bluetooth or cable - and many more often people choose cable as it has better quality. So, ZOOM is giving a choice and I do really like this. Having fucntionality for which you pay but not using is waste of money.
Would you guys be able to check and see if this has universal audio ducking? Also, do you guys offer an easy way to get my station into tune in radio, still?
Yes, the P8 offers 'noise reduction' to automatically turn down music when talking. Pretty standard, so I'd be shocked if they didn't have that and other features.
Do you know if i can use Track 6 to get sound from my PC via the Podtrak from my PA? I want to have the PA Monitors connected to the Podtrak. Thansk for response!
Yes, you can run an aux cable from your PC headphones port to track 6 3.5mm in port and then plug in monitor speakers in the P8 audio out and that will provide what you need or an aux from your PA system out to the track 6 3.5mm in on the P8.
Yeah, I'd say it's a good alternative to the Rodecaster Pro, which is also good for radio studios. Simple, but that's the point. For more advanced mixers, there's the Mackie series.
I'm not 100% sure. I know software can map the controls like Mixxx, but we didn't touch that in this video unfortunately. Best reaching out to ZOOM to see if they can help.
Thanks for a great review. Just wondering can you live stream with it also if I’m filming would I’ still have to sync audio with video via Premier Pro 👍🏾
The PodTrak P8 can be used to stream live audio, pushing it out to other sources. As for video, I think you'll need to sync with video. Not 100% sure as we didn't test that, but I imagine you can use software like Premier Pro or a physical device like the Blackmagic Web Presenter: ruclips.net/video/yBrpK_aJ6Vc/видео.html
The Zoom PodTrak P8 is a podcasting mixer/recorder that allows for multi-track recording. You connect microphones, adjust levels, record audio, add video separately, sync audio and video in editing, then edit and export the final video. It's a convenient tool for creating high-quality audio for video content like podcasts or interviews.
It does record each mic to a separate track but it also has the option to record and combine everything to a single, master track. I have the Podtrak P8 and the Rodecaster Pro and the P8 is WAY more versatile and provides better quality audio than the Rodecaster Pro.
@@gettubetur10 No, noise reduction affects whatever you are recording be it single, master or multi-track. I don't know what DAW or editing software you are using but I highly recommend learning how to apply the Noisegate function. Once you get that down you can clean up any track fairly well.

I have a P8 on my desk and a P4 in my remote bag. Both work great
That's dedication to the Zoom PodTrak series, nice 👌
How do you get the audio synced with ur camera? Is it connected or you used a program to sync

Interesting question, I have Logic Pro X too and ordered the P8 recently, have you found a solution yet? Thanks!

Agreed. Choice is key, and I think it's done well with the P8.
Also, the slot is an additional 3.5mm audio in port that can be used to input audio from any device.

I actually bought it and can't wait to use it. Do you happen to know what the best SD card would be for it?
nice review. does it have a reverb or delay effects for vocals for fb live acoustic gig ? tnx

Do you think this could be used as a console for a radio station, like the Rodecaster can?

Can you add adj controller setup on the P8.. and use it like a machine mixer …

Solid review wanted to ask if it was necessary to use the external speaker or was that just a choice of yours?
Choice. When we ran our own station, we had speakers so DJs could listen back without getting hot ears from too much headphone time.
How are you doing a video with it?

Is it true that the noise reduction function doesn't affect individual mic tracks and only affects the stereo mix of all the inputs?

@@eltont862 Thanks!
Nice
Cheers!
One word: MIXCAST 4 It's so much better and just a tad larger. It costs way less too.
