I love all the old Danelectro pedals. I own the Daddy-O, the Cool Cat and the Tuna Melt. I lusted after this one back in the day but couldn't afford it haha. Who knows, might have to pick one up at some point. The Dan Echo and the Reel Echo are super cool too.
You REALLY NEED TO PLAY SOME "SPAGHETTI WESTERN/SURF" STYLE TUNES!!!!!..... EVERYONE APPRECIATES A GREAT REVERB!!!!!! THANKS!!!!!!!! I MUST BUY THIS!!!
Haha...I know...what I meant is that its just a piece of rubber thats stuck onto the pedal...people often think its a switch but its literally just a piece of rubber thats stuck on with double sided tape
I love this thing. That blue guitar is beautiful, by the way. I always enjoy the shootout videos, and would like to see the new Anasounds spring tanks demo'd by you guys.
Thats Alex's Larrivee RS2 in Daphne Blue...I'll contact Anasounds and see if we could possibly try one...one of our favourite Australian brands Anarchy Audio is also about to bring out a spring reverb pedal...might try and get a hold of one of them too!! Thanks Randy
Thanks. I'd never heard of Larrivee, which is funny, because it looks like they're located only about three hour's drive from me. Sounds good . Looking forward to the demos!
Great demo, you both look like you were enjoying yourselves, especially with the thunderstorm sound. I own a TC Hall of Fame reverb which is an excellent pedal but the Spring setting doesn't come close to this & have been pondering whether to buy one.🤔
Thanks Made 1984...we have a lot of fun making these videos...we love reverbs...and yes just the thunderstorm sound alone would do it for me - it's Gabor here, the guy in the right
I noticed that when mine gets all knobs cranked, and i play clean at high volumes, the bassier frequences cause a kind of distortion/noise arround the sound. It's few but noticeable, i think the problem can be my amp.
Thanks Daniel...we did a video of the Micro POG a while ago...and a bunch of shootouts with other octave pedals...Mel9 is a pedal I've been wanting to get my hands on for a while...I'll see if I can get one from somewhere
Perfect for western and surf.
fantastic sounding pedal!! love it!

If you want more reverb I'd just stack it with a delay pedal.
I think the kick pad is for tapping to make the spring's vibrate with your foot for that thunder storm sound

A shoot out would be great, possibly also a shoot out between different types of footwear to hit the spring tank with!
Haha...done!!

@@TSFAHTPS I wonder if the Spring King & the Reel Echo pedals will go up in value in the future if they are discontinued?

"volume" is "decay" and "reverb" the fx mix
Compressor after the spring?
love your show guys, please do a POG or Mel9 EHX review

You guys call flip flops/sandals, thongs!? Lol

It sure is
This or the EHX grail?
We are doing a Reverb shootout soon and both will be in it...the Grail is a bit more versatile...but you can't beat a real Spring Reverb

@David: I swapped my Holy Grail for a Spring King and haven't looked back since!
Just.Play.Some.Single.Note.Lines. And PUNCH that guitar!
