I think it’s a brave and right thing to do to vocalize your support for LGBTQi+ rights. The louder the mean minded hate gets, the more important standing up for the good cause gets.
Thank you Mattias. I'm honesty a litttttttle concerned what'll happen but I don't think supporting gay marriage and gay rights should be considered a fringe belief in 2021.

I was actually looking to get one of these as a nice little cheap real spring reverb but hearing you talk about the donations made by the CEO has totally changed my mind, I'll definitely be looking elsewhere for a reverb in the meantime.

There is a really cool mod for this pedal. Since it actually also has a delay chip inside
(normally set to a fixed slapback to give the reverb more depth), you can modify it and add seperate controls for delay time and feedback. Considering the price, it would probably be among the cheapest delay/reverb combos available, with a real spring no less!

That’s unfortunate about Danelectro. I love their stuff, and he’s done a lot for the music industry (and business in general, he’s largely responsible for the US adopting fax machines) and has always seemed like a genial and thoughtful guy. I have multiple guitars and effects from them, but only one was ever new and I suppose it’ll be the last one until we hear something from him on the topic.
Definitely an "approach with caution" warning sign for me.
@@GetOffset It's this that makes it political. Not "gay rights" as you so claim. Honestly don't even know why your support of gays is even necessary in a pedal review. You take issue with what the CEO of a company you bought a product from not based on the product you're reviewing, but a political stance.
So, as in true fashion, I called you out and you argued like a progressive. And yeah, at this point I wouldn't need your suggestions to leave your channel. I arrived at that conclusion long before I finished watching this review.

The kick pad...why? I have an old Torque spring reverb unit and I've never felt inclined to kick/slap/punch it. I'm confused by this addition..nice demo. The pedal seems a bit lacking in depth, if that's the right word.
I feel like people want to be able to kick an analog spring reverb pedal, otherwise why not go digital or in amp, I suppose. But I agree, this doesn't sound nearly as good as other spring reverb pedals like this (but it's also pretty cheap in comparison)
It's really shitty when quirky people or companies do that kinda thing.
Never even noticed they used an arcade style button for a footswitch (and they stole my idea before I even had it), kinda regret not buying one of those when it was really cheap back in the day.

I loved that pedal, but it gives up too much noise when rehearsing in a band or playing live. Doesn’t react well to any sort of vibration. Have Danelectro addressed this issue?
I'm sure they have not addressed it. Not that I've seen.

What a childish way to afront a situation, seriously why are the people who preach the “inclusive” sermons(in this case,you) always claims that the only answer is *exclusion* (“leave my Channel right now and never come back”).
You need to understand that diferences are what makes soceity richer and better, we have people that make laws and we can always raise our voices to those people if we want some changes but to fight anyone just because they fight for the exact opposite is pointless.
