    Very cool! Thank you for this. Absolutely love exploring old ruins when I can find them. Peace Valley Park in New Britain Township is my stomping grounds - tons of ruins around the lake and views of old roads when lake is low.

      Thank you very much! I tried exploring that area and remember a few old houses there, in Danboro. Regarding the lake, yes, i heard there some historic ruins in the bushes, but i didn't get a chance yet to take a look at them. 👍

      Huh? I walked around that lake many times and never saw any ruins. Are there two Peace Valley Parks in New Britain Township? Are we talking about PVP near the Lavender Farm. I’m sure there are not two in the same location with the same name but where are these ruins. Do you need to go off the 6.5 mile loop around the lake and go directly into the wooded area. I’d like to see what you are talking about so next time I can see for myself. I am being serious. This is not a put down but a real question. It is a great walking area. Have you tried any of the great rail trails in upper Bucks and northward. I use the app “All Trails”. We have so many great places in Pa. We are very fortunate.

      @@tonmarinaxxzz On the north side of the lake are remnants of an old farm off of Old New Galena Rd, incl an old driveway culvert. Foundations of an old miner's house are not far off the hiking path from the northeast parking lot. On the south side, follow the farm lane off of Chapman Rd. before the parking lot - you will come to a springhouse as well as extensive barn ruins and fallen outbuildings There also used to be a large 7 br house here too just north of the big black walnut tree - look closely and foundations can be found. On Limekiln Rd, walk north away from the lake past the abandoned house - at the top of the hill before the former trailer park property on the left is a driveway that leads to a property abandoned some time after the park opened - you will see weird cage structures on the left of the property and foundations for maybe a house and large shed? at the rear. Plenty of other interesting sites of the days gone by from pre-Lake Galena. Hope this helps.

    You make it look like you have to trek through the woods, but unless I'm mistaken those three are right along Old Baptist Road. There are some more modern abandoned homes along the stretch of trails that come off of the old Fern Rd and an interesting old Funkite cemetery near the seven arch bridge that spans Germantown Rd. Cheers

      @walkingcam1  17 часов назад

    • @kbcustoms3571
      @kbcustoms3571 17 часов назад +1

      @walkingcam1 yeah, if you metal detect around the immediate sides of an old house like that you'll find a lot of old square nails for sure. But if you get out a little further from the house, that's where you'll find coins, especially on any kind of incoming trails that lead to the house or outgoing trails. And as far as the church goes, that's in your video. Back in those days all the churches had a lot of outdoor events where kids would play and people would congregate that's where you would find a lot of dropped coins. You know that they extended themselves to the creek nearby where you said they did baptisms. So anywhere between the creek and the church would be a good place to look

    Another great job, love the voice over explaining the history of what we're looking at, good idea. Definitely hard hat area, building stone falls from that height and hits you in the shoulder that's one thing but if it hits you in the head that's quite another. Be careful!! I think I mentioned B 4 that I don't believe in ghosts/spirits/etc. I'm 82 now, Mom ,dad, grandparents ,all 6 brothers and sisters, wife of 50 years, my son, a lot of friends and associates have all passed on. Two, wife and Son, passed right here in this house. Out of all of them, you would think one spirit would have contacted me. Not a sign or word, not even from a stranger either.🤨🤨🤨

      Tom 🙂 Hello! Haven't heard from for a while.
      I haven't had any experience of paranormal contacting as well. Never, not a sign, not a hint. But human nature, don't know why, force some people look for supernatural things. May be because of fear of death, we want to believe that this isn't end yet.

    • @tomtransport
      @tomtransport 3 дня назад +1

      @@walkingcam1 It's not the end, your spirit/soul, whatever you want to call it travels/transported to another parallel universe. You're born again there , of course, don't remember your past in anyway. This has happened to me /you/everybody hundreds of times. We lived in another universe, in another galaxie, in a solar system in that galaxie on another planet like earth. While we never have contact with past spirits, etc. We have all experienced deja vu, when we feel we have been here or done that but we know we haven't. That's because we haven't in this life but did many times B 4 in our other past lives. Take it from me, that's the mystery of life in a nutshell.😀😀😀
