    So happy to see the Oxana videos show up on my youtube and Patreon pages! This is so amazing and creative I am going to make myself the moon shaped stones from polymer clay. There is a new faux labradorite tutorial I am going to try and will make the moon shape out of that. Also I plan to make a tiger eye moon for this tutorial. Will probably make some others too. And the hearts - thank you so much for the new heart tutorial as well. I plan to increase my support level on Patreon, you are so generous with sharing your knowledge, I would love to help support your efforts more than my current level. Thank you again! Take care, Oxana!

    Thank you - thank you. My moon is a cut crystal and drilled at the upper point. I don't want to use the hole to secure it in the frame. Any suggestions for the hole? Maybe a tiny crystal bead with 28ga. wire? Hummm - having brain freeze. You totally amaze and encourage me! ! !

      either a little bead or a wire swirl to cover the hole should work

    Very pretty but when shaping the wire around the moon couldnt you double tape the moon to the table then wrap it as it is laying down ?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  6 лет назад +1

      yes I bet that could work! I just had to hold mine in the air in front of the camera, so didn't think to do that

    Thank you for the wonderful videos. I’m a new subscriber and new to wire wrapping. I used your video to make a crescent moon pendant using abalone shell. Do you know if the oxidation process harms or discolors abalone shell? I’m also thinking of oxidizing the copper before I use it. Thank you!

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  5 лет назад +1

      My abalones have been fine when I oxidized, but I can't 100% guarantee anything of course since all stones are different.

      @@OxanaCrafts Thank you, I might start with a scrap piece first. One more question please; why do people oxidize copper jewelry in the first place? Is it purely aesthetics, (how it looks), or is it to protect the jewelry? I'd rather not oxidize some pieces if I don't have to. The brighter copper color compliments the red of the abalone. Thanks again :)

    May I ask where you find your Crescent moon stones? I've found some on etsy but they're not quite the same as the ones you're using...

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  5 лет назад +1

      Etsy is where I find mine, I can't find the labradorite ones any longer so now I primarily use palm root, fossil coral, and maligano jasper

    Would I be able to make this with round wire or do I have to use square?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  5 лет назад +1

      It'd be more difficult as round wires slips around more, but theoretically you could use round

    Where do you get your beautiful cabochons?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  6 лет назад +1

      I have been collecting them for about 5 years, I buy mostly online, places like etsy and ebay. I know it looks like I have all beautiful stones, because I use my favorite ones, but I also have lots of not so great ones. That's just how it works I guess, buying online, sometimes the stone comes in and it looks great, sometimes not so much. I wish I had one super special source I could give that has like all the best stones, but I have not found such a thing, so I just buy from lots of different sellers, and cross my fingers :)

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  6 лет назад

      P.S. I have a few videos on my channel that are "unboxing" stone packages, those should give you the name of a few sellers I've tried.

      clarity seer instead of being condescending you could have watched the video and paid more attention because she clearly said the stone is labadorite. The question was where to find it, not what is it. You ironically don’t have any clarity...
