- Water Drop cage pendant with large spherical stone without holes - How to make jewelry from copper wire by Lan Anh Handmade
With this stone wrap way you can apply it to any stone shape you have ( have holes or no holes) . Most suitable is spherical stones, marbles or gravel form.
The wire size varies depending on the size of the stone you have
With this form you can use any type of wire or wire size you have. Smaller diameter wires are easier to handle, but they are less durable than larger wires.
In the video I use :
20 gauge ( wire diameter 0.8mm ) : 5 x 9cm( 3,5 inch)
28 gauge ( wire diameter 0.3mm ) : 2 x 30cm( 12 inch)
Spherical stone 1.4cm in diameter
TIPS :
- Before doing, Always be sure to straighten the wire for a more beautiful product
- Can use a towel to straighten the wire.
- Refer to how to straighten the wire here • Basic guide - straight...
- Can be replaced with silver wire or gold wire for jewelry more valuable
Or simply use cheap material like copper wire to make gifts for friends, family or for yourself
- I just give way reference, not the best way. Can change size wire to suit your purpose. You can do better than me.
- I bought all the material and stones in where I live (Vietnam)
I used to round copper wire - magnet wire , it's the only kind I found where I lived for many sizes. I do not know exactly what type it was, can be normal copper wire, it have plating layer, and not dark by time

That was incredible. I’ve been thinking about doing some wrapping for a while but that really inspired me to try it. Is there anyway you could do another video just to really show the detail of the first aspect with the thinner wire and how you connect all the others. It’s a little hard to see how you weave it. Is there a name for that I could look it up.

Please, when braiding, have “Someone Speak The Instructions,”. Not all of us learning by seeing. I learn by hearing and doing, not seeing. I did finally accomplish this great design, but would have enjoyed it more with voice instructions.

If you use bare copper, it will be oxidized. You have to oxidize it, polish it, Then cover a layer of protection so that it doesn't change over time. that's a general rule, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet. Wish you success and make more beautiful products

I tried breaking it down and it looks like you’re doing left 2, then the 1 middle, then right 2, back to 1 middle and repeat. But I can’t actually tell. Do you think you could explain it in the way I’m trying to figure it out? Lol

I don’t know if you have an answer for this question: I made a necklace of copper and I don’t know how to remove the copper smell when I wear it’s it’s smell kind of strong the copper that’s I don’t know if I can wear it’s again! What can I use to remove some of the copper smell. I know this is funny, but I feel like a skunk smelling like that’s. It’s gorgeous and I don’t know what to use... 🙏

Я имел обыкновение закручивать медную проволоку - магнитную проволоку, это единственный вид, который я нашел, где я жил для многих размеров. Я не знаю точно, какой это был тип, может быть обычная медная проволока, у нее есть слой гальванического покрытия, и не темный от времени
