Hey Tyr! Great question. I try not to ask my guests to go too much into detail on the mechanics because that's what they do in their masterclasses or private lessons. If you have a specific question about techniques to improve efficiency, I would suggest that you reach out directly to any o f the guests who have addressed that topic.
@@TheTrumpetGurusHangPodcast Thank you for your prompt reply. I ask simply because I’m based in NYC and have taken lessons from Bryan Davis as well, and he IS great. However, different people can interpret the same thing differently, but their explanation can cause an "A-HA!!" moment for others who perhaps are auditory learners rather than visual, or kinesthetic. That being said, your hang is great, highly informative, and you’ve had some Bucket List interviews (Jerry Hey and Wayne Bergeron immediately come to mind). Please keep delivering the goods!
@@michaelsailors9434 I understand that truism, and thank you for a fine interview. However, I believe listeners would be very interested and still benefit from hearing specifically what remedy/exercise worked for you, even if you had to accompany it with a "Results May Vary” disclaimer, especially as you touched on the results of the chop problem (air with no sound & pain).
Hi Jose! Thanks for another wonderful podcast! Could you next time change the way you set the film into smaller bits? In the past it was possible to find a certain topic with the timestamps on the player. Right now you have to do it manually by checking the exact minute in the description. The previous way was much more convenient. I assume it might be because of too many data digits. I guess you need only hour:minute:second. However, if you did it on purpose it's all fine and sorry for bothering 😅 All the best and much thanks again for your wonderful job to make trumpet world a better place! 🎺
Oops! My bad! When I edit, the markers are hour, minutes, seconds, and frames. RUclips doesn't recognize the timestamps if I don't remove those last two digits. I will fix it immediately! Thanks for letting me know!
Great. My 3 cats are going to be Blue Mitchell, Joe Wilder and Woody Shaw
Thanks you 👏
Absolutely right..
I understand the why of the benefits of playing efficiently, but can you have a guest that can explain the HOW of playing efficiently?

@@tyrmorris8155 thanks man! Maybe I need to do an "Efficiency Round Table" episode!
@@tyrmorris8155 there’s no “one answer”, because everyone has their own difficulties.
