[BOOK OMENS] Crowley's crush on Aziraphale

- EDIT: This is BOOK GOOD OMENS. I do not acknowledge tv omens. Yes there's a book. It's from 1990. It's gayer. These are my designs for the characters and I'm not changing them to reflect the 2019 adaptation. Entirely, heavily referenced from the fantastic • Video , which probably set me to learn animation more than I should probably admit. I do not really claim any creativity for the poses and timing, only transposed onto humanoid characters.
Lazy art for which I halfheartedly apologize; it was done all in one day and I wasn't particularly trying. However, may I advise, don't bother with freckles. Ever. Done on Manga Studio, put together in Windows Movie Maker.

Wait, you don't like the series? I loved it so much! The casting was fantastic and I loved how they even managed to show Crowley and Aziraphale throughout the ages :D

@@heather2701 the series really didn't feel like it kept the parts of the book that meant a lot to me -- but im genuinely glad it's a source of joy for you. i honestly think it's a good series, just that it's very different from the book that's very near and dear to me. have a nice day!
The book and TV show are both SPECTACULAR in my opinion, but everyone likes different things. Love this video btw ❤
I read the book and then watched the show, they're definitely very different. I agree that they left out some really good parts and I still don't forgive them for not including the fact that Crowley slept through the entire 19th century.

@@SSMp315 Well, you said it in the most perfect way possible :) Btw I love the show even more than I thought I would - sure, I expected it to be really good, and my hopes were even higher, but the end result still blew all of my expectations out of the water, it just made me fall in love with the story all over again. And the first half of episode 3 is officially the best thing since sliced bread.

Sliced Bread is really good, Ep. 3 is my fave out of all of them. The “you go too fast for me” by Aziraphale probably killed me and raised literally all of my standards for rom-coms up to 6000% more
@@SSMp315 Agreed 100%, it killed me and subsequently revived my soul in several moments - Crowley inspiring Shakespeare with a bit of poetry that's clearly about Aziraphale, that moment where not only does Crowley save Aziraphale again, despite the pain of walking on consecrated ground, but then even saves his books and offers him a ride home (might be my most favorite scene overall, and I swear Aziraphale fell in love with him in that moment), and then the whole moment with the holy water thermos and "You go too fast for me" - Michael Sheen's acting is so brilliant, that man can somehow put all of Aziraphale's emotions just into the slightest changes in his voice and face, especially his eyes, so you can literally feel his pain there and that he's talking about _so much more_ than just Crowley's habit to drive like a maniac... Ah, it was so brilliant that it's given me a mild existential crisis as I _know_ that there will never be anything quite like it ever again :( :)

I know this dialogue! It's from Dragon Age: Origins, when Wynn is teasing Alistair about his crush on the Warden. I wanted to view this as Crowley and his crush on Aziraphale, but I can't stop picturing poor Alistair. LOL (Cute animations btw). :)

Finally, someone who likes the book! The book was great. I’m upset that they made the characters so.. likable I guess. The good things about both characters was how we accept the fact that even though they’re an angel and demon, they both suck and are good in their own ways. It feels as if Aziraphale started off too good in the series, whilst in the book we already knew he kind of sucked.
I-- now that I watched the show I find some of these representations in accurate- but again, the book describes Crowley with dark hair,
Dude you can’t say representations are “in accurate” according to the show, when this video was posted almost a year before the show came out lol. And yes, they are accurate to the books description.

I think either the dark brown/black hair or red is acceptable since the author wrote both the show and book, so if Crowley NEEDED a certain hair color I think he would’ve made sure that happened
The audio for Crowley sounds juuuust enough like the actor who played him in the BBC radio play (listen to that, if you haven't alreafy, bc I think you'll like it better than the TV show for not erasing the "good vs. evil is a false dichotomy" of Crowley and Zira), that for a moment I thought the audio /was/ from the radio play and I'd forgotten it being /this/ gay. XD The art is amazing! I love the way you do expressions!

This is fun, love your Crowley design! Its a bit hard to find content for other adaptations of the book, like the radio drama or the musical, or even for the book itself (if anyone has any pls lemme know). Glad I found this one thing.

Crowley and war have a bigger interaction on the book series? Cause i see people drawing them and im like wut?
I drew this as a joke long before the series came out, so generally assume that everything I draw ignores the TV version.
They don't have too much interaction in the book, but I wanted to have Crowley be the male character here, and War seemed to fit the demeanor of the feminine voice. It's not supposed to be a commentary on the book; it's just a joke post. It could have been Anathema or Tracy or Metatron or Beelz, but I liked War for this video ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

AuroralMelody oh thank you, its just that i saw other drawing of them together so I thought hmmm i would love to see if she has more things in the book, but i guess the others were just drawings her cause she is great XD
@@MariaEduarda-ng1thOh, yes, I think she's in the book a bit more - the TV series cuts out an entire section involving three other horsemen they interact with! And it goes more into detail on her as Carmine, and more of her other names. War is pretty great.
It's a fairly popular book fandom headcanon that her sword is actually Aziraphale's old flaming sword. I'm not sure it's ever been confirmed, but it's a theory that a lot of people like.
AuroralMelody oh, the series actually say that her sword is Aziraphale’s! Theres even a little joke about him having it and then loosing again, classic zira. And thats great! I would love to see more of her, although i think series polution was the best. I cant wait to buy the book, i fell totally in love with the tv series, so i see glimpses of the book on tumblr im like, in love? Bless neil and terry for this pleasure

The book is quite lovely! The reason you see so many different Aziraphale and Crowley designs around, though, is bc there's actually very little description of them in the book. Hence why I picture Crowley and Aziraphale the way I do (more on my art blog, to promo ^^); it's very vague. Almost every design people draw fits in the book's description of them!

@@andiwill1870 yes it was released 30 years ago! it is very good and tbh much gayer than the tv show! (az and crow! Hold Hands!) and it's also very vague about what crow and az look like so. book omens designs are more varied and interesting. i've been a fan of go since 2017 and i have Opinions

book omens is gayer than the tv adaptation yes but the radio adaptation is the gayest of them all
