Gaku I really love your content. I'm a video editor from Argentina and you've helped me a lot figuring out how to become a better editor day by day. Thank you very much!
Hi Gaku! From IG here. Your content heavily inspired my visual style so will be forever grateful. 🙏 I’m in Tokyo this weekend and would love to be able to see you in action on the streets!
amazing stuff as always! I learn so much from you! One thing that I wish you would mention in your recent video about gear is some cheaper replacements you would consider, especially for beginner filmmakers when it comes to lenses. Also would love to know how you plan out your shoot list is it just a general idea + a lot of reps or something more preplanned? Thanks and hi (from ig) ;)
Man, I believe you should use enable/disable feature instead of deleting the clip all the time to see the difference. When you click on the right side of a mouse after selecting the clip, you'll see a panel with lots of different options, where there is also "✔enable" option. You can also set a shortcut like I do :) BTW video is AWESOME as always!
So many great tips. That's inspiring stuff. Thank you Did they give you any guidelines or keypoints for the editing process? Or did you have complete creative freedom with the material they gave you? I would love to see more of the grading process too. The images look golden and lush, I love it
The main emphasis was to highlight the feeling of “togetherness” - as per the campaign tagline. Besides that, had a lot of creative freedom which is quite rare for these kinds of campaigns.
There was a pretty lengthy brief on the overall mood and tone for the messaging the brand wanted convey. In terms of how I decided to showcase that feeling in the film was almost completely up to my interpretation. There were a couple of minor revisions but the final video is really close to the first draft I sent over!
what would your recommendation on the db level be for sound effects, music in this case, and the voiceover? love your videos Gaku, this was very informative was definitely taking notes for my next creative project, thank you!
I don’t have any set db levels - wish I was more knowledgeable in the sound design space. Most of mine are just set so the overall sound levels don’t peak. Usually for typical voiceovers I have my music at -25 to -20. VO and SFX are normal levels!
Hey man! Love your videos. I was curious what are your go-to's for SFX? Do you own any packs or do you use websites such as Artlist and Epidemic Sound?
Hi! I actually sell my own pack: www.gakuyen.com/store/ultimate-sound-fx-pack Besides that I usually use the SFX from Artlist or Epidemic. They both have great libraries for natural sounds.
I’m so happy that I found you on RUclips and Ig 🤗 your style is so close to me! Perfect videos 🙂↕️😎 May I ask . Why premier pro ?not davinci ? It’s just more comfortable for you? Or it’s better ?
Most transition and camera sounds are from my sound pack: www.gakuyen.com/store/ultimate-sound-fx-pack Besides that I usually use the SFX from Artlist or Epidemic. They both have great libraries for natural sounds.
This sorta deep breakdown of your edits needs to be a series. Absolutely brilliant work.
You're an absolute legend for sharing your knowledge in a space where gatekeeping is so common. Thank you!
Gaku I really love your content. I'm a video editor from Argentina and you've helped me a lot figuring out how to become a better editor day by day. Thank you very much!

Do you know which software is this?
Thanks for sharing every techniques from your project!

Great idea, I’ll try to do one on cheaper alternatives soon!
hey gaku, do you ever sharpen your videos?

Absolutely beautiful video bro! I’m trying to break into this industry how did you get in contact with Lulu to create a commercial for them?
I’m not gonna lie. These kind of videos are so boring, but I watched the whole thing. Super interesting.😂😂😂
🔥
Cool breakdown🙏
Did you prepare the wipes in advance or how you came up with that idea?
I just have them in my library for when I need an easy transition
So many great tips. That's inspiring stuff. Thank you

amazing
Are all of these sfx that you used in your ultimate sound pack fx?
feels like you had some kind of creative freedom for that project, was there a precise breif you had to follow ?

May I ask . Why premier pro ?not davinci ? It’s just more comfortable for you? Or it’s better ?
I'd love to know this as well! I've recently started learning Davinci after "graduating" from Capcut lol I was wondering if Premier Pro is better !
@ as for me , I started my editing in premiere pro. But it was crashing very often so I started use davinci 🙈
More comfortable and it’s also the industry standard for client projects so when you’re working with other editors it’s almost always PP!
@@GakuLange thank u for your reply . Will again recollect knowledges about pp :)
nice
How did you get these type of work
Where do you download all of your stock audio from?
Most transition and camera sounds are from my sound pack:
www.gakuyen.com/store/ultimate-sound-fx-pack
Besides that I usually use the SFX from Artlist or Epidemic. They both have great libraries for natural sounds.
What is double shot actually??
Which scene are you referring to?
Hi bro
Yoyo!
I'm a Korean viewer. Please add Korean to the audio track too!
It’s RUclips automatically adding everything, I’ll see if I can add Korean manually!
Radio edits are common in the industry. Now if you were referring to the tiktok content creator editors, then fair enough.
