    Thank you thank you, I am now in the MSN/education program, I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure things out. I want to become an educator but wasn’t sure what steps to take, I am also an OB nurse. I recently contacted my LPN professor who is now the director of the program and she said as soon as I finish my MSN to contact her. Lawdy I am so glad I found your page. They want you to have your MSN. I guess I can also try to find a program who will take a Bachelors prepared nurse as well. Again I truly thank you.

    Thank you for making this video. I watched your previous video and I did my own research and was still a little confused, but now I feel like I fully understand the differences.

    In Malaysia...phd in nursing most popular from DNP...I can’t see very clear about DNP here...I love clinical and same time I think 100x time to take DNP next year...and more love DNP from phd...so confused now...

      mizwar malek You do what makes you happy. It’s just that simple. I can get a job regardless of which I have. If that’s not the case where you live and you live research then go for PhD

    Hi! Have you found that more teaching opportunities have opened for you since obtaining your DNP? Also did you ever sit for your CNE? Thank you

      @@thenurselounge great!! I’ve been back and forth for 2 years between NP and DNP trying to make the best decision...but realistically I’m leaning toward DNP for the flexibility. Looking forward to the next video!

      @@blqberry1 you would have to get a doctorate regardless if you got the NP. It will be a requirement.

    For DNP need RN License but PhD not need. I am right or not?

    • @thenurselounge
      @thenurselounge  3 года назад

      Filia Ferawati In nursing you need a RN license in both the PhD and DNP. The DNP is specific to nursing whereas the PhD can be obtained in many disciplines and they would need their perspective license in their area if it is required.
