That's the sweetness right there. Fearless...not me 3 weeks before I get to crackin'! I love how you gave all your insight with gusto, to be honest this is one of the better finds for me and at the right time. I've taken advantage of some of the material you've covered already and hope to god I fly like an eagle. It's all about staying positive and bringing your A game! Ricky Henderson would be proud!

Very good video. You pretty much explained what I had been wondering what a nurse student goes by. I applied to a nursing school and I have to wait for a response by September 2013. I am really excited to start this career. I cant wait to take all these courses you are talking about. Thanks for the video again. If I have any questions later, I will come to you. Thanks.Hugo.

Good luck! Getting into nursing school can seem hard, but if you start now it shouldn't be. I just got into all the schools I applied to and into a BSN program. I can't wait to start.

Cool video man, your videos always pump me up to learn that nursing knowledge!
Hope things are great for you with your new job, kick some ass bro!
I just started volunteering in the surgery department at one of my local hospitals, definitely boosted up my motivation to keep on going.
Getting into that program is tough, pero si se puede!
Good luck to all the future nurses!

bawler! :) Great video btw. Congrats! I can tell you're stoked. I'm starting the program in August. Can't wait. I have been on the waiting list for a little over 2 years. I'm pretty nervous, but I know I can do it. I'm just stressing out because I have to work at the same time I'm in school. Should be interesting. :)

Micro was fun. :) As long as you have a professor you can understand and a desire to learn it isn't that bad. However, be ready to learn a subject never really taught in high school It may seem foreign at first but you'll get it if you study.

Thanks! So helpful! I'm just starting my pre recs in the spring I wish I would have gotten my RN years ago! I will be 37 or 38 when I'm done but it will be well worth it! I'm kicking myself for not doing it earlier!

What? your prereqs was three years? that's amazing! so you basically did the time of a BSN Student. But its all worth it though. I'm proud of you because it is a great accomplishment

Find a program you like, do the pre-reqs, and then appy to nursing school. How long it takes depends on what you already have based on your AA, and how how you hit your pre-reqs. It can take a year or two at the least.

Oh and I regret not taking more college classes while being in high school. I only took a total of three which only two were for nursing. Your high school will tell you to take Ap classes instead. Tell them no. It's a waste of time. THe AP tests are really hard and high school teachers don't teach you well enough to pass. Best bet is take the college class. Best times to take a class is senior year or during the summers. It's never early to start taking college classes.

WHile being in high school. I took three pre requirements and got A's in em. High for me was a joke. A waste of time. My friend told me to take a history class and I did. I thought it was so easy. So I thought about taking nursing pre requiz and it was worth it. My high school paid for the class. I just bought the book. I got high school and college credit. Best classes to take while being in high school are Communications, English and Math.

Wow man you got me with the all the women part haha. All jokes aside, I'll be starting in a University. Reading articles, details of becoming a RN, and your video has really made me realize I want this carreer job for me. So after I finish my first 2 years in a university (which is GE) then I transfer and that's it? Or do I do 4 years then do two more years?
    Please respond.

3 years?! You got a bachelors? For my Community College here in Chicago, all it takes is one semester of pre-requisites which was 5 classes.

I took micro for ten weeks and it twas really hard. Espeically since my teacher had a thick accent. She seemed really smart but I couldn't understand her. I thought to stick to the class and boy I regret it. I passed with an C+ but had to retake it anyways for the school I was applying to. C's aren't good grades for nursing. I retook it at a semester school and got an A. Just make sure you can understand your professor. It shouldn't be Hard.

my teacher makes it complicated. 90% of my class got Cs Ds, and Fs on the second exam. she can't teach at all, she gets confused herself. as long as you have a teacher who knows how to teach micro, you'll do fine. it's too late for me to drop so i have to go with it. i finish may 24.
