Hey Nurse Mendoza, I been waiting a long time to write this message. I started following you right after high school around 2010. At this time I was young and barely starting college to hopefully be a RN one day. Well I can gladly say I finally reach that goal May of this year. Thanks for all your vids, tips, and inspiration man. I can finally say I’m a proud Latino Registered Nurse.
Amen, my guy. I love how you sprinkled the divine calling at the end because it’s so true. We nurses have been through hell these past couple years but He has brought us through. Glory to God. 💪🏽
Thank you for your on his comment. I will also mention Jeremiah 33:3 “Call on me, and I will answer you, & show you great and mighty things for which you do not know.”
I forgot to mention a BONUS TIP: Keep all of your medical-records portfolio up-to-date and also your Nursing Resume should be 1 to 2 pages keeping it simple and professional with one cover letter and at least 3-4 references. Good Luck my fellow CardiacStrong Nurses.
I used to watch your videos back in nursing school. I've been an ICU nurse for about 1.5 years now. Thank you for your great videos, wonderful personality, and words of wisdom!
Stay safe! I remember watching you when I was in Nursing school and now I’ve traveled to NYC and Florida. I did ICU and doing the same that your discussing in this video. Stay safe friend!!!!! ❤️ you rock
First time watching you. I needed that scripture. I'm in such a funky place with nursing right now. I keep thinking about leaving my job to travel for this year then be done with nursing. Thank you for sharing your tips.
Joining on this NurseGrind might be a great idea, but it will definitely be challenging and possibly draining, but right now the demand for nurses is ridiculously on another level. Good luck on your future Travel Nursing endeavors.

If there’s any questions regarding traveling that I didn’t answer, please don’t hesitate to ask me here? Thanks again, NurseMendoza 😷
I wonder if those bad nurses, the ones who drove new nurses out of the nursing field wished they did do it? So many nurses are now watching from the sidelines.
It’s better to ask for an extension after you have done a full assignment so you can have leverage with your travel company once you have build trust!! 🙌🏽
For a newly graduating RN that is focused on travel nursing in the near future, which specialty do you recommend to maximize on available contracts and pay?
Vámonos....Hawaii here I come!!! It sounds great but it comes with a mental health price. You are right it's not permanent but it's a hard 3 month assignment. Very tempting 😏
Hey, what's up Edgar. How long have you been traveling? I just stopped surgical tech traveling to go to nursing school. Just started at beginning of the month. Love the videos man!!
I'm 16 and its my dream to be a travel nurse, I've wanted to do nursing since I was like 7 and I have had a few surgeries to correct scoliosis and after that nursing sounded more appealing and it gave me a different perspective on nursing as well. All in all though I do want to do travel nursing for a while and if any nurses see this I'm curious if you think its worth it, even with school, all the stuff, etc. If anyone has advice please let me know!
Question. I'm a new nurse and my goal is to become a travel nurse in 2 yrs. I have been offered two positions ( cardiac telemetry in a small 300 bed hospital pay is more, close to home, free parking and Intermediate coronary care in a big teaching hospital pay is less, far from home, pay for parking) I'm so confused on which position to accept. Do I go with the teaching hospital and will that look good on my resume than the small hospital for traveling?
Let’s look at what you want to do before you settle down first. Wow, you started out your sentence with becoming a travel nurse in 2 years. Great.😷 Now let’s keep this simple and straight to the point, so if you’re leaving in 2 years from whichever hospital 🏥 you choose, then you could possibly go part time or per diem and still work both jobs as you travel; double dipping until you’re ready to coin your hospital 🏥 as your home 🏡 . Hope this helps, Thanks for subscribing & following all of my other social media nursing platforms. Best regards, NurseMendoza
How do you deal with FEMA/travel nurses who don’t even do bare minimum? I am extremely grateful for the help, but if I’m having to do my job AND their job, I’m not. Hate to be a Debbie Downer but we’ve been getting nurses who aren’t team players and let their patients crash. Not to mention that most of them are always on the phone! Who do you talk to for 12 hours?! We’ve hit our spike and as much as we tell administration, I understand that we need the body more.
I appreciate this my brother. I have 6 mos experience. Is there a chance for new nurses to jump on these opportunities? Appreciate the content and the tips. And for any response. God bless you brother! Thanks you for the prayer!
Hello my comment had nothing to do with your RUclips video. I am a critical care nurse. I wanted to inform you that scammers are using your social media pictures on dating sites like Tinder. The person claimed they have been a wound care nurse for 5 years and a cna for 2 year. I did report this person. However your pictures are being used to scam women out of money and dating site. Just wanted to make you aware.
Pondering about Traveling? The timing couldn't be more impeccable as we speak Melvin. Happy holidays and lets continue to save lives my fellow CardiacStrong NurseBrother.
I am on a travel assignment right now. This is actually the very first time as a travel nurse. I got a 13 week contract. And I love everything about it. Thanks nurseMendoza
