The statue is of lord Ganesha, he is widely worshipped across India. It is believed that he has the ultimate solution to all the problems. His appearance half of human and half of elephant has a story behind it. The work you did on lighter was incredible and I appreciate that message you gave. Love from India

I truly love this restoration and bringing awareness to the plight of Asian Elephants and leaving the one tusk off that was broken just as in real life. Many Elephants are chained up with huge barbs that cut into the leg of the Elephant in order to prevent them from running away. When resuced, sanctuaries have to treat these wounds until healed much like the leg bandage you put on. Also, I am grateful to all the Asian Elephant Santuaries around SE Asia doing a very good job of resucing these majestic animals from very bad working and living conditions. I am sure Ganesha is very happy with the restoration you accomplished. It truly is AWESOME RESORATIONS!!!

The Statue is called God Vinayaka. There is too many names for the god as per Hindu mythology. But known as first son of God Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. In India before starting any work we believe and pray to him to be with us to provide support and safe us till the work completes and help us to complete the work without any inconveniences. Hope my information is helpful for you. There is a saying to praise lord Vinayaka "Ganpati Bappa Moria".

But elephants are only holy according to some, since they represent Lord Ganesh due to his elephant head and also because Elephants are really wise and friendly animals and they also Help a lot due to their immense strength

I really like how you addressed the issues with this elephant. re-casting pewter and soldering it is super difficult. the lighter actually works when you finished too. what an amazing restoration.
How you always get us emotionally invested:”this is going to be very hard to fix…” And we’re all like: please fix him 🙏😭 I want that soldering pot 😍 (And the two beer fridges are ok too 🤣). Not usually a fan of ASMR, but I LOVE the rain in the background. You thought of everything. 😍

I really like how you addressed the issues with this elephant. re-casting pewter and soldering it is super difficult. the lighter actually works when you finished too. what an amazing restoration.
