The container made from cardboard was impressive but when I seen the math to calculate volume I was amazed! what a great tutorial. Thanks for sharing this.
I have seen people do cardboard, but never this well before! But then I don't expect anything less from Mr. Strebel!
Amazing job, thank you for sharing!
Just stumbled along your channel, and for whatever reason, I absorb the knowledge better. The speed of the video and your voice at a "normal" rate, really works. It is very calming too. I play around with sculpting, painting, and many other projects. Since you asked for suggestions, a curved funnel, or arched, and now im not sure what to call it, but like a wine decanter.
Anyway im a fan and will end up binge watching all your vid's cause im a freak like that.
Be well, Be Real, an Be YOU!!
Pls keep on making more product design projects just like the cool jar u made from cardboard
That's pretty awesome.
Thank you so much for sharing this
That was awesome, I've been struggling with chipboard for the last week or so, so this is a godsend. Also great job with the sponsor, I've been looking to find bulk chipboard for the laser cutter, and it turns out they're somewhat local to me! Win-Win!
This was amazing!
Great video really helped me in my final project of product design semester 2.
Beauty. You are a good man sharing your skills.
Excelent video!!!
I'm fan of you and your techniques that really helps me a lot keep uploading new things
I liked your drawing too!!
A great material for this kind of work is corrugated cardboard with a crepe paper layer on one side. It allow for all kinds of radii while keeping its sturdiness. Also really satisfying to bend.
great model and video but you said you can make this in your dorm room…. with a sanding machine?
I love the simplicity and effectiveness of how you build staff...really impressive....thanks a lot for your insights and ideas...they add a lot to me sir....I'm saying hi from EGYPT :)
Having worked on scale card modeling, mostly aircraft and spacecraft, you're a great source of techniques
Thanks 😀
@@EricStrebel One project I was working on was a1/48th scale Saturn V. The 1st and 2nd stages are about 8-1/2" in diameter just for the basic assembly. Available free for download from Lower Hudson Valley papermodelingman.com/gallery_models_apollo.html. There is one individual that is building this at 1/12th scale.
Yo those RENDR pads are the bees knees. I love it for markers. The only complaint I have about it is you get some feathering from absorption. But you can dump an entire copic into the area the size of a postage stamp and not have it bleed through to the other side.
An allpax gasket cutter is an awesome tool to have for perfect circles.
That's a nice quarantine project. :)
It sure is!
I AM A RETIRED ENGINEER, I STUMBLED INTO YOUR RUclips CHANNEL . I HAVE BEEN DABBLING IN CARDBOARD AND HAD MADE SEVERAL ITEMS THROUGH THE YEARS. I NOTICED THAT I HAVE THE SAME TOOLS THAT YOU HAVE AND ALSO A FAN OF ADAM SAVAGE. WELL ANYWAY I HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL AND KEEP ON MAKING INTERESTING VIDEOS. SALUTE !
😄👍
Cool video. You may have started a cardboard wave. Thanks for sharing. : )
garagemonkeysan I can only hope!
very nice, great skill, I subscribed! Cheers!
Thanks
You r realy coolllll!!!
Danm bro so neat
Thanks, give it try 😄 thanks for your comment and support, greatly appreciated
Nice little custom cardboard creation! If that were a commissioned piece, I suppose you'd have to charge about three hundred dollars or more for it.
Hai iam vino i serch for a project and I find it it's really good, nice, amazing 😊😊😊
👌👌👌
What's going on with the backpack hook? Excited to see an update on that project.
The prototype is on the way, should arrive next week. Then I will have an update on the project along with kickstarter info for doing a boutique production run.
Sir have to calculated volume and radius
May I know, the adhesive you are using
Will it cause any sort of health issues. Because some of it may come in the water.
For circle cuts, do yo use a rotary blade in that thing or a fixed pointed one? I think this rotary one I have mmmmight be for fabric. It keeps biting into the surface and walking itself out of the proper cut groove area
fixed in the circle cutter.
Hey it was an amazing video. I wanted to know whether this bottle is waterproof or not
Of course not......
I’ve been having some issues curving the chipboard without creating visible creases... what’s your best suggestion to fix this?
Practice and patience along with a sharp blade
thanks, it's perfect for smoke grenades 😊
Or can we do anything for making it waterproof but now with plastic and polythene
The next step would be to 3D print something that could hold water if you are happy with the look and feel of the this mock up.
@@EricStrebel what kind of print??
Means anything with plastic?
The design is very much good excellent
"the shop is closed because you had too much other work to do" oh wow gee thanks for calling me out
Sir what is the cost of one carton bottle?
Do you ever cast anything in plaster?
It’s rare
Hi Eric, I've just discovered you on RUclips and love your tutorials!
I'm currently buying materials to make a cardboard model of a turbo fan for a rally cars' front alloy wheels.
Do you have any advice on how to make a turbo fan from cardboard or maybe you could make a video on how to construct one?
Any advice would be much appreciated thank you. Richard, England.
Make the housing in two parts then build the impellers then sandwich the whole thing together, good luck
@@EricStrebel Thanks for getting back to me. Have you any advice or tips on joining methods?
Make a circular frame with an interior lap joint so you can fit the two halves together
@@EricStrebel I don't know what an interior lap joint is mate. Have you a video of an interior lap that I could watch or a link to something?
If you watch this video the bottom of the container has an interior lap joint. ruclips.net/video/RJBEmUrmGDw/видео.html
what kind of glue are you using?
Christian van der Linden regular PVA white glue that you can get anywhere on the planet, it's thinned with just a bit of water to make it come out of the needle a bit better, you can with the other videos in the cardboard series to see more.
Want more videos
How would I get the squeeze bottle in the UK
Good question. unfortunately I don't ship international, but you might try someplace like a craft store that may have something similar
Thanks
what are your thoughts on glue sticks?
Round sticks of glue with removable caps, they're super annoying when they fall in the ground.... Oh you're asking me if they're appropriate for making cardboard models, no not really.
@@EricStrebel haha! Fair enough, fair enough. So much less mess though, don't really have to worry about squeeze out.
Hi what is the full name of the Circular Cutter you have? I would like to buy that. Can you give the link? I think its not included in your description only the blade not the rotation plastic.
rotary cutter: amzn.to/3PFABtm
I mean the one you used in 3:50 - 2:32 duration. I would like to use it for making Pog is it suitable? What do you call it circular cutting but I don't know the real name. Can you include the link on this product?
Fiskars cirkel cutter amzn.to/3wHAA0P
Thank you very much ^^ exactly what I'm looking for. Have a good day.
Your video is very informative and helpful btw.
Your welcome, good luck with your project
Is it waterproof??
What? It's cardboard.....
theres a d in building
I want to know more ABT this... kindly share mail id

Sorry about that, kind of a RUclips thing, come back next week, perhaps it will be different. Thanks for letting me know. Perhaps you will subscribe again in the future. I appreciate your feedback
what kind of glue did you use?
White glue
