  • Two separate days of warming up in the studio prior to recording the new FU MANCHU record, February 15th and 16th 2014. Some of these things got used in the recording, some didn't, some were just things I was goofing around with to warm up the hands and limbs.

Wow, those are how rock drums should sound! Admittedly, I'm not too familiar with your band's music, but I'll definitely seek it out now, your playing is pretty fantastic! Not to be too 'drum-nerdy', but... can you tell me something about the drums? Are these classic maples? And what sizes and heads are you using? That huge floor tom actually has some tone! Sounds great, thanks for posting this!

How many room mics are you guys using in this situation? I love the drum sound on Gigantoid.

...and the pressing question is WHAT SNARE IS HE USING? Could it be the trusty Supra-phonic? The rims seem quite tall, so maybe a Dyna-sonic with the Tall Boy rims... Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

What size sticks are you using? 2b or larger?
