I love how the theme has slowed down too, and stylistically changed according to the times. Roger Moores gunbarrels are my favorite in general. especially his later ones.
Roger Moore was my first James Bond. I had began my acquitance with franchise from his movies. I love the majority of the them, especially The Spy who loved me, For your eyes only, Live and Let Die, Moonraker and Octopussy. I will remembed his comic and elegant style forever.

Theres a really good unused gunbarrel of his in the spy who loved me trailer..where he walks up to the screen and talks about the movie.
Ths Spy who loved me is class. The note at the end of the gunbarrel sequence is so funky
I love Roger Moore most too! He´s really great, playing his role with natural dignity.

i hate to say it but I'm really glad craig does his gunbarrel in a business suit like connery,lazenby, and early moore.
he looks cool as fuck in the first 2 and just old and bored in the rest. still the best bond though.
What is it about the cowbell that makes the FYEO gunbarrel so awesome? I just don't know.
FYEO has a classy feel to it. And MR has a Dramatic feel.
Maybe it's just me, but sometimes it looks like Moore actually doesn't hit the camera (if he had fired a real bullet) and quickly corrects his aim before the blood drips.

Best one is Live and let die, very 70's funky kind of Shaft sounding. Second is For your eyes only. Third is the Octopussy one which has a really dramatic opening.

7. Octopussy
Don't mind it but I defibetly think the more dramatic sound of it does not suit the film at all.
6. Moonraker
A very simple gunbarrel with nothing too bad or too good.
5. A view to a kill
A quick and extremely suiting of the film itself I wanted tk put this one higher but over just prefer the other 4 more.
4: man with a golden gun
It's a more simple but somewhat satisfying gun barrel the only thing I don't like is the fact that the gunbarrel was not golden.
3. Spy who loved me
Suits the film well, and I really enjoy its intro and ending I just think the top 2 is mega good.

The 70s tune in it is both good to listen to and suits the film well.

Good thing you showed A View To A Kill gunbarrel from the Special Edition DVD instead of the Ultimate Edition. In the Ultimate Edition and the Blu-ray release, it appears badly cropped.

I just like the smooth way Roger does the gunbarrel...almost like he's gliding...kinda opposite to the jerky motions of Sean Connery.

What I find fascinating is that A view to a kill came out in 1985 yet the gun barrel is from the Spy filming in 1977...thus he wears flared trousers in 1985...kinda funny.

Moore did the gunbarrel without someone else In it unlike Connery
Connery did the second version of his gunbarrel himself. Only the first version was done by Bob Simmons. But yeah Moore did both versions himself
stuntman Bob Simmons did the gun barrel for the first three Bond films, but Thunderball was the first panavision wide screen Bond film and a new Gunbarrel sequence was shot for that with Connery doing the sequence.
