YouKnowWhoThisIS xo what's really great about it is why he does it like this. You know what he's trying to say but you don't get the full message. This is how he feels the public sees him, they know what he's trying to say but only take it for the surface level content. Fucking brilliant
"Never was much of a 'Romantic' i could never take the intimacy, And i know it did damage, Because the look in ya eyes is killing me" That line made me feel guilty 😭😭💯
The final part is like a vocal solo, he's singing and improvising with a lot of distortion and effects on his voice, i found it a very artistic and moving moment of the album
first he talks from his perspective and how he fucks up and the final part is the public perspective as the public often doesn't understand what he is saying and even if they know what he is saying they still cant really hear him
Joan finally someone who understands it ins't just for the aesthetic of the song. to add on though, it's from perspective of the public, aside from his fans. he's just repeating what he said in the first part but singing it distorted, so if you're a fan, you know what he's saying, but if you don't you just hear what's on the surface of the music
@@wozing it premiered on MTV I think a day before the album dropped. He also did good Friday's where he released a song every Friday before the album released.
The last part where his words are intelligible is meant to represent how the public hears him- muffled, disoriented, not making any sense. But since he has already let us into his “beautiful, dark and twisted” mind, we know what it is being said beyond the distorted effects. So dope!!
That part that Simon said was jarring - that sounds like a guitar with a bunch of reverb, is really Kanye’s voice. You can hear it as it is toned down a bit and he starts to almost let you hear what he’s saying. He is the master of utilizing the humans voice within music - it really is genius.
Ive been waiting so long for this! But kendrick actually has lots of different styles that they havent heard yet but could love! One of the most diverse artists with kanye!
If you havent listened to Dissect Podcast season of Kanye I highly recommend its very incredibly deep and eye opening. During the end of the song Kanye was crying in the booth recording that distorted guitary singing. The whole song was a freestyle by Kanye
i mean, he thought runaway was the album closer, and he thought pusha's verse was kanye at first so id have to disagree no hate to him he seems really cool about it all

I think you guys should check out "Love Lockdown" for the older Kanye stuff. One of my favorite songs from him. It's relaxed but still hard hitting. There's also "No Church In The Wild" which is also very good
That last part was powerful ,it have touched me deeply 😔 when those girls running away from him at the end I was like ohh my God this is so amazing 👏 😢❤

One great thing about this song and time in Kanye's run is that he premiered this song at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. This was one year after he famously interrupted Taylor Swift when she received her award for Best Female Video at the 2009 MTV VMAs. That was a big turning point in how a lot of people saw Kanye West as a person. Even Barrack Obama called him a jackass. When he came on stage in 2010 he had a decently positive reaction but a lot of people didn't want to cheer for him. By the end of the song it seemed like he had won over the crowd and they were electric as he closed out the song. Was a truly great performance and an amazing way to introduce the song to the world.
Speaking of Pusha T, the dude’s released a long awaited project just this week and It’s regarded as one of his best. It’s short and sweet, but I think you guys would find it worth the listen. Keep up the good work
You guys must listen to Through the Wire. About how Kanye was in a car crash and still recorded the song like 2 weeks after he was released from hospital with a jaw wired shut!
Yeezy built the fishing rod and pusha reeled em In. Watching them react to this made me feel like I was hearing it for the first time as well. This is a top 5 reaction from your entire catalog.
Should just listen to the whole album. One of the finest productions on any album ever. The way each song fits perfectly in its own story and how it flows from heavier, louder, abrasive tracks (hell of a life, monster) to the glorious, triumphant tracks (all of the lights, dark fantasy) to the sad, introspective tracks (runaway, lost in the world), it’s just incredible
This song is my #1 of Kanye's personally because around this time in my life I had a lot of stuff happening in my life and I was depressed and lost. This song helped me personally.
Well now that you've heard Pusha T, listen to some songs from his new album Daytona. First of the five Kanye-produced albums we are getting this summer.
