the more ffxii I play the more It makes me wish armor like the judges was available to wear in FFXIV
There is the "Return to Ivalice" 25-man raid next year in XIV, maybe we can loot it there.
They do have fantastically designed armour

Ah yes the final battle with Gabranth. I always found it incredibly fitting to fight him one-on-one using Basch for a brotherly showdown.
Mr. Freeze Maker of Ice Puns This theme is most powerful if you fight with the 5 Judges in the Trial mode stages 100, such a tough fight, an hour and half fighting with those monsters.

hey okay so all jokes aside, this song also plays in trial mode in trial 100. did you know after you fight yiazmat and omega the hardest battle in the game is against five archadian judges at once? i still haven't beaten it, it requires you to inflict so many status conditions and manage the battle constantly, it makes omega look like a joke
but if you beat trial mode, you unlock new game minus, which lets you replay ffxii but without leveling up, you are stuck at level 1 the whole game and can only improve through the license board and equipment. i am really excited to unlock this mode, and i hope some of you get that chance too
I beat them a few weeks back, but GOD DAMN that fight was insane. You get maybe 20 in-game seconds to fully set yourself up to win before they just mercilessly kick your ass to the curb and don't allow you any chance to spring back. It took me several tries to get the strategy just right, and one screw-up was lethal against them. Eventually I ended up winning like this:
- Disease both Ghis and Drace, then turn as many Elixirs in my inventory as possible into shots of Zodiark's Final Eclipse attack until they died (Bergan also died)
- Keep Zargabaath asleep at all times while I burned down Gabranth (who hit as hard and fast as Omega Mark XII) by himself
- Finish off Zargabaath with Scathe while keeping him asleep
What I remember of this song = 100TH trial against all 5 judges.
Honestly, Gabranth and Basch really take me back to Cecil and Golbez, especially at the end. Just like those two, Gabranth and Basch fight against the greater evil that possibly made the former do bad things.
Theme sounds like a mix of a bunch of other movies and games. I heard Aliens, MIB, Tomb raider, and pee wee hermans big adventure in this theme

Yeah ! Basch only, but I had to remove his weapons, the fight would have been too short otherwise. Such a shame Gabranth doesn't have more health.

Stage 100 of Trial Mode. Holy crap, THAT was a worthy final boss fight.
I still can't believe how tough those 5 judges are in that battle. If you don't get fully set up to win in about 15-20 in-game seconds, they completely obliterate you and you can't do anything about it. Ghis in particular is a bitch, since he debuffs your party and can hit you with powerful Scourge attacks. You practically HAVE to take him out first or you have no chance.

the game is unbalanced af, its a great game though, there should be level scaling and difficulty level, not only enemies will be tougher and hard to kill but also agressive and smart when to back away when to attack when to use their skills, also all story related bosses should be on the top ten hardest boss in the game so it forces the players to do other stuffs like marks, elite marks, side quests, optional bosses, grinding materials, grinding lps. the final boss, vayne should be the hardest of all bosses, and gabranth should be the 2nd hardest. then vossler should have been one of our permanent party as well, i really like him, very strong warrior, all of his statuses are high and he also can use telekineses, wither and expose. imagine if he is our permanent party. he is the most op fighter.
if you beat trial mode there is a new game minus where you don't level up and can only progress through the license board
Elder Wyrm is plenty tricky enough if you don't bring Esuna or Remedies. You also have to Silence him or he constantly pelts you with debuffs.
