to be honest i never felt the same feeling while playing another game of the same genre so i couldn't agree more, this game is so fun and the music takes it to another level of immersion!! .
This is giving me so much nostalgia. Sitting on the floor on a fouton mattress in my first (studio) apartment, playing this on my PS2, on a broken TV, until the wee hours of the morning, then going to my $8/hr job humming the music. Love when games can do that for you.
I remember being disappointed learning that Nobuo Uematsu wasn't scoring this game. And then the soundtrack just knocked me off my feet. All these years later I can conclude that this is one my all time favourite soundtracks.
I discovered Sakimoto from Odin Sphere OST, I used to play that game soooo many times just for the soundtrack and I've heard the OST of other games he composed for. In my opinion Odin Sphere and Final Fantasy XII are his best works and Sakimoto is one of the best composers (of course Nobuo Uematsu too)
I feel just like you. Uematsu is my favourite video game music compositor, but I like FF XII soundtrack even better than maybe FF IX wich was my favourite soundtrack
Ah the Feywood. Miserable place to explore, can't see shit, annoying puzzles, the Behemoth King, and unsettling music to go with an unsettling environment. 10/10 favorite place in the game.
We dont want just a remaster, we need a remake of this masterpiece, the best soundtracks and overall game system and story out there, its mysterious but hopefully, not like those emo protagonists we have now in recent games
I find salikawood and nabreus areas to do that to me not only for the music, the first time I went there was like a 'magical' experience, then learning about the lore behind it as well semented it

Some of the best music in a videogame and no one talks about it, youtube was not a thing when this was released for the first thing for someone to actually discuss this further, if no one will do it I will . I will make a video diving deeper in these compositions
I know this is unrelated to the vid, but it's really a shame that your Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent fan-edit medleys got taken down by copyright strikes. I noticed a while back the videos disappeared from my music playlist, and it took me a while to backtrack to this channel. Is there any chance you could somehow post them again? If not the vids, even just the audio would be amazing. Maybe Soundcloud or Google Drive could serve as an alternative platform to avoid YT's copyright complications. I hope you see this message, because the hard work you put into editing the transitions really deserves to be shared!
I have unfortunately received two copyright strikes, one away from account closure, so I can't do anything for a while. As for the videos, I cannot retrieve them as copyright strikes makes me unable to re-download them. I'll have to look into other ways but right now this is not high on my priority list unfortunately
Once i skeptic of FF series on ps1, i prefer play dragoons game, then i try FF10 on ps2 okay i like it and FF12 bring me love 😢 i only play this game again and again till now if i miss it
i wish i could choose between original and remastered ost per music, some are so much better in the remaster, yet the remastered version of Damasca Westernsand and Lust for Power (Paramina Rift) for example are way inferior.
this game is a masterpiece.
@Darius Truxton is a Saint No lie at all! Omg I think about this regularly. It's heartbreaking. Crossing my fingers that 16 is a FF redemption.
Wish more people felt this way 😪
it's so beautiful. i love being in its world. i think it's very underrated

Agreed. Only thing I disliked was the second half of the story. The characters, lore, gameplay, etc. were all such 🔥🔥🔥
No matter the ups and downs, FF never fails to deliver in music.

Hitoshi Sakimoto is a music genius too ^^

God damn I wish I could experience this game for the first time again. I wasn't even a kid but it made me feel like one again.
Same. Such a great soundtrack to go with such an immersive experience.
Nabudis soundtrack was always above the others for me, except some specific boss fights. that necrohol was really scary if you were underlvl.
I can die happily if Square Enix remakes FFXII..
The footage of each area is a very nice touch, love stuff like that.
Amazing soundtrack.

Ozmone Plane gives me such a weird feeling. Music really is real lifes magic because that song does something to me.
Edit: also Phon Coast 👌

All 4 of those themes are wonderful.

I love how I started and beated this game because I love the OST. Same happened with a game called Tree of Savior.
Thanks for the recommendation

FF12 jest wspaniałe, ale ta muzyka... To dzieło sztuki te melodie instrumenty są tak piekne, że dotykają wnętrza duszy
Dalmasca Westersand.. very cool tune
Thank you for this
I love you for making this
Not me waiting for a sequel to this game xD one day
there is a sequel, Revenant Wings, on the Nintendo DS, takes place a year iirc after FFXII and tells the story of Vaan and Penelo as sky pirates
Between this and Final Fantasy 8 which was the first FF game I played. Both are the best for me.
Paramina is the best for me.
Oh didn't see this coming. I love it!
I want this as a screen saver.
18:24 damn the jumpscare after the calm music

still got my steelbook PS2 game. i will never sell it.
What is the name of the sword that Vaan is wearing on his back?

Hello, at "Tchita Uplands"(38:12), who is the character next to Vaan and Basch? Thanks
Reddas, he joins as a guest in Archadian Lab i think.
@@FilipRamčić-g8j thank you:)
Glad that the original FFXII was my first true exposure to Final Fantasy.
Also, 12:06 IRRADIATES Star Wars vibes.
Why is the volume so loud on this? Just a thought.
The more I listen to the zodiac version, the more I realize the original sounded and worked better for the game.
facts. the remixes are ok in their own way, but they miss something.
Lets get timestamps on this (not it)
