This was 2 years ago, but I think one reason why his name wasn’t even thrown around in consideration behind the scenes is because even though his Netflix series was cancelled, Marvel basically got him to hold tight for a couple of years for them to be able to do Daredevil again and then they’d bring him back. And he couldn’t be Batman on top of that.
