7:43 *YES!* Spider-man's origin does come up nearly every episode in the 90's Spider-man cartoon. It's not always a full on flashback like in this, but Peter mentions it near constantly. It's really friggin annoying if you sit down and watch a bunch of episodes in a row.
@@charleynewman5057 They're not ignoring it, they just know they don't have to waste our time explaining us stuff we already know. Besides, they do allude to his origin in Homecoming.
@@benphillips2947 When do they allude to his origin in homecoming? Is there ever any moment in the MCU that clearly states what Spider-Man's motivations are, beyond wanting to impress Stark? It's more than "wasting our time" they seem to be going out of their way to not mention Spider-Mans origins or give him the same character and motivations that all previous incarnations of Peter Parker have had.
Sorry, the song's trash. Just that stupid harmonized robot-sounding voice going "Spider blood spider blood" over and over. I grew up with this cartoon, and even then, I thought the song was lame. The X-Men theme still bangs though.
Love this show so fucking much. From the theme song to the story arcs and voice acting. The shows pace is on crack but I love it. This show made me love the wall crawler.
They didn't have an origin episode at the beginning, instead they lead with "Night of the Lizard" where he was already Spider-Man. Great episode actually! Great vids guys, I was a MASSIVE fan of this show back in the day when it was shown on Live and Kicking in the UK.
I will always consider this version of Spiderman the greatest version. Also the series ended on a cliffhanger, so in my headcanon, Spiderman looked for Mary Jane in whatever universe is on the other side of the portal, gets hit on the head and loses his memory and lives the life of a prince named eric, and rediscovers true love with his favorite red head when he finds her living the life of a mermaid. This is also why Prince Eric seems very sure the girl for him is out their and that he will find her one day even before he meets Ariel because he has hope he will find Mary Jane again one day.

This show was the definitive Spider-Man for me for the longest time. I used to love it. Every once in a while I'll go back and rewatch a story arc. This and the animated X-Men is how I learned about Marvel characters and stories.

'..then he falls down, he gets stuck, in a web. He's stuck in a web-' 'ooh... a web of his own making?' 'No, a web of somebody else's making.' 'Huh.' why is this so funny
this version/series of Spiderman is great even as an adult, I got the DVD boxset and watched the whole thing a few years ago. Definitely worth a watch. I remember enjoying the episodes with Doctor Strange especially, since his powers are so different from the usual superhero stuff
John Semper, Jr. ran a fun and relatively faithful version of Spider-Man. Episodes were based on classic storylines from the comics, and modified judiciously to fit into 22-minute episodes. I wasn’t crazy about the theme song, but was happy that it was by Joe Perry from Aerosmith (referenced in the black suit episode as something like, “The suit can morph into anything... regular street clothes... I can look like that guy from Aerosmith...”). Peter Parker was voiced by the guy who played Greg Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie, cementing his place in pop culture.
This show was great, but it had some really weird pacing issues and offbeat editing. The camera would often pan away from a character mid-speech and cut to the next scene and you still heard them talking. I guess they were trying to cram in as much as possible in 20 minutes...
Praxis I doubt it, The Ned in the MCU is basically Ganke from the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, they just used Ned's name so they don't have to pay someone for the character.
