      I think if you get it you’ll never be disappointed, it has so many cool features that other bikes from the same price range don’t. Cable was a nasty thing) but it wasn’t expensive to fix, it happened on the third launch btw) so next time I’ll be a bit suspicious of it) other than that it’s a no competition bike, wonder what the price in Malaysia will be) and I’m really excited to see what would you say once you get it 🤜🤛

  • @evanmcknight2566
    @evanmcknight2566 11 месяцев назад +4

    Cool looking bike. Nice suspension spec. The ZX4RR should have come with something more like this as well as the aluminum frame.

    • @eddywave3315
      @eddywave3315  11 месяцев назад +5

      On paper Kove is better in almost every aspect, and people here respect 450rr more then other foreign and local bikes as far as I see( probably coz it’s a relatively small brand which tries to do its best) On the other hand I still like Kawasaki more, experience is something money and even desire for cool features can’t buy, but taking the difference in price it’s not fair to complain or compare these two. Kawasaki is 30 kg heavier but feels as light, but again I’m just an average rider, perhaps once you push them to the limit, the difference in frames and suspension will be more noticeable. But I loved this new 400cc four cylinder format a lot!

    • @evanmcknight2566
      @evanmcknight2566 11 месяцев назад

      I’m sure the Kawasaki is the better bike overall. Over priced perhaps but I’m sure it’s much more refined. Have you had a chance to ride the QJ motors GS 550? I think it would be in a similar price bracket to the Kove 450 RR.

    • @eddywave3315
      @eddywave3315  11 месяцев назад +2

      @@evanmcknight2566 I haven’t ridden 550, the local QJmotor dealership has all the bikes, and you can try them out and record a video if you want, the only catch is that you can ride on the tiny parking lot nearby) I tried once and it’s almost as useless for understanding the bike as to look at it from the side) it’s getting pretty cold in Qingdao, so probably I’ll check it out in a few months. But in a few days I’ll still go to QJmotor to check the new SRK900 or whatever they call it) hope I can record at least something useful 😅

    • @evanmcknight2566
      @evanmcknight2566 11 месяцев назад +1

      Cool, the dealership in Shanghai is also cool about giving test rides. So I will try them before I decide. I was sold on the QJ GSR 800, but I’m looking for a bike to mainly ride in the city and at speeds under 150km/hr so I wonder if the GS 550 is a more appropriate choice. Looking forward to your future reviews. I enjoy them a lot.

    • @evanmcknight2566
      @evanmcknight2566 11 месяцев назад

      Not that I plan on riding 150km inside the city, but generally at more sensible speeds on public roads. I do wish the Kawasaki ZX4R was a bit more reasonably priced since I think it would fit my needs very well. The QJ GS550 might also do the same or better for half the price. The Kove 450RR is also an interesting offering.

  • @lovingmylifeasIage6741
    @lovingmylifeasIage6741 11 месяцев назад +2

    Good comparison. I don't think we get the kove here in the U.S. What was the cost difference? I ride the ZX4RR and just love it. I have no problem with the weight. It is very stable on the interstate Hwy here at around 80 mpg. The front end doesn't seem to get very light although, the wings would be a good idea up around 130 mpg. I had a Ninja 600 in the 80s and the front end got a little light at that speed. I haven't had the 4RR up to that speed and probably never will. I'm too old for that now. I just enjoy doing curvy roads now.

    • @eddywave3315
      @eddywave3315  11 месяцев назад +4

      Thank you 🤜🤛
      The price difference is huge) ZX4RR is 12000$ here and Kove 450rr is 5800$ so in China the choice for most people is obvious, but I can still see the case for buying ZX4RR over Kove) personally I think Kawasaki is a better and more reliable bike, it’s extremely addictive) and the front end of the bike is greatly balanced, as you mentioned the weight isn’t an issue with Kawasaki, one can argue that it could be an advantage over super lightweight Kove, it was awesome to ride it in twisties, and I love the amount of power it has.
      Kove is a great machine too, I love ABS modes, but it’s a bit rough around the edges, still nice to see how competitive they are, and it’s great for people like us, coz they definitely push the competition, unfortunately I don’t think it will be available any time soon in the US but I still hope it can be sold there one day and riders can check it out!

    Noob question.. is ot necessary to utilize all gears example running at 70kph on 3rd gear vs using 4th gear is it really necessary to use the right gear on extended travel at high speed?

    • @eddywave3315
      @eddywave3315  5 месяцев назад

      It’s not necessary, but of you are in low rpm your bike might not be in the optimal power to overtake a car for example, and if it’s too high, you’ll just limit the gear up, and you need to up shift. It depends on a bike when to change gears, on z400 I keep it high 6-8k rpm this way I feel the power, on ktm390 you can keep it low, 2-4k is enough coz it has great bottom end torque

    • @eddywave3315
      @eddywave3315  6 месяцев назад

      Well, Kove tries to make their bikes lighter than the other manufacturers , this is their feature here. And the price must not exceed the competition! This is my personal opinion, what do you think?

    • @SelectaZero
      @SelectaZero 6 месяцев назад

      @@eddywave3315 yes seems that was the focus on the 450 Rally and 800x as well. Interesting approach! On the other hand you've got QJ Motors which has been producing some of the heavier than average bikes within their respective categories... For instance, if you are shorter and struggle to place both feet flat on the ground on a slightly taller bike than having it at a lighter weight is much more confidence inspiring (800x vs competitors), not to mention performance.
