Rusty Bits - Can They Be Saved?

In this episode we collect the rear subframe, bumper reinforcement bar and bumper hanger bar from the powder coaters.
The rear boot panel and boot seal surround also received some attention. The rust is ground out and fully treated, filled and primed and the spare tyre well is treated and primed ready for its top coat.

Thanks! I did the chassis rails with the spray can last year and it protected it fine until I got a chance to take all the bits off. Subframe is surprisingly thick steel even when it looks really bad it’s probably ok

Hi what sort of price you looking at getting the rear subframe blasted and powder coated I'm looking at getting mine done at some point

For the subframe, bumper reinforcement bar and bumper hanger bar i found a price of £110 + vat. That was for blasting, zinc coating and powder coating. Will probably get a bit of variation on that depending on how busy the shop is but I’d say anything under £150 for the subframe and you’ve had a result 👍
