    Aloha Jill, thank you for sharing this! I am wondering if you know people with adrenal insufficiency who were first diagnosed with fibromyalgia and had a hard time getting an Addisons diagnosis because the doctors kept wanting to throw all their symptoms under fibromyalgia.

      HI there friend....I haven't talk to anyone specifically in this situations but I am sure it happens...especially Addison's hides itself so well and so hard to dx. And yes so many illnesses over lap..we need to be dialgent with testing and look at everything. Hope you are well...thank you of the comment and watching my little videos.

    Every single person that shares their adrenal story says the exact same thing , weight loss joint pain and nerve pain and fatigue . This is all my issues but I’ve been attributing it to crps which does cAuse this too but this that I feel is completely different .

    Michelle, who is your endocrinologist? I am in Salem NH, and just starting testing for Addisons. My endo is taking forever to get this diagnosis. There aren't any endos around here without a 6 month wait on an appointment.

    Some of these signs read in comments, seem also like iron(ferritin), B12 and other B's. Do people with addisons have an appetite? So if secondary can get better?

    • @chronicallyfit_withjill
      @chronicallyfit_withjill  9 месяцев назад

      I have regular appetite...primary or secondary we dont get better. Yes iron, B12 and other b's can be involved...

      He doesn't really say much in the book...I think it was because he was young and the adrenal were faling but not completely...I know he rid is body of toxins and perhaps that stopped further atrophy of the adrenals...wish I knew too❤

    what is that called when on occasion or sometimes lots times of day, when feel like dont get a whole breath, so retry 1+ times rebreath (usually hot weather(wet scarf on neck spine helps)? Hot weather, turn weak. Did a saliva lab and was low "active" cortisol am (but high in serum cortisol), higher nite. Am pale now (dont tan), used to have yellow/brown knees and ankles. Cold easily also, did have lo BP but now quite variable. Energy is good sometimes these days, so maybe getting better, but never diagnosed with anything. What tests showed had addisons? Am learning not to push self so much. Is there a list of signs ? Hair loss , isnt that also thyroid? Mine was gone except a bit on legs and head for years . Am used to shakiness but thought was BG going low as a kid.

      Hey there friend...I was tested for cortisol, sodium, potassium and also ACTH (this one is important) it flagged my adrenals were failing..then I had an ACTH stimulation test. I had no hair on my legs, cold all the time, sugar and salt cravings. Hope this gives you some direction..please take care friend.

    • @1aliveandwell

      @@chronicallyfit_withjill yes cold, even chilblains in winter, have craved salt for 25 yrs (on everything but ice cream). A non stim ACTH was 16, in range(will ck on STTM to see if ok lab). Found if start vitamin C in small amounts made me shaky in morning but evening felt better! Did find reacted to histamines and oxalic acid foods so reduced them for awhile and alittle better (if reduce oxalic acid than do so very slowly!). Recall as a child Mom telling me that President Kenndey had to take a med as his body didnt make it (adrenals), wow and his was a stressfull job. Are you both getting osteoporosis from the meds (cortisol)?
