- One of the most common problems we run into is water heaters exposed to the elements. Most aren't cut out to survive rain and other weather conditions.
If you want your heater to be outside to save space, then put it in a shed. They are affordable and extremely durable. - Хобби
Thank you. This answered a question I had about installing a water heater in a shed and if I could. It is electrical. Great video very informative
thank you for this video, perfectly answered my question in under 3 minutes!
I need the put together instructional video
What do you do when you need to change out the anode? The roof of that is in the way. Do we have to disassemble the entire shed just to change the rod out?
yes or install the heater so you can tilt it forward
Still doesn’t have a bottom piece.
Hi I just saw this video, where can I purchase this shed?
from us at Miami Water Heater
Can you do something like this on a tankless water heater
sure so long as the heater doesn't get wet that's fine
Who do this kind of work, I need this at my house but I live in sumter sc
I do this type of work and I live in Eastover SC so I'm not to for from you
@@duckett81 what is your price for job like this.
a plumber should be able to do the work for you
Will the metal shed rust? How long will it last?
Can this be painted?
yes it can
Water from rain is getting into my shed and my gas heater is making loud noises and vibrating. The water heater is only 3 months old
I would imagine there is water in the baffle area of the water heater but without checking it that is not something I can answer with confidence
@@CARLOSSANCHEZ-vz3fp I peaked inside and saw no water but I havnt taken off shroud covering burner area. Its like clock work, I run hot water and this sound like a truck idling comes on for a few mins then shuts off...weird. Its a brand new Bradford
I’m not up to date on the Bradford heater because I don’t deal with them but even a Rheem I’ve never seen that so I’m not sure what it would be
@@miamiwaterheater2281 It was rain water that gotinto bottom of heater where the burner is. Plumber is working on it now, he's gonna put a pan under the water heater.....thanks
Product is flimsy and cheap and does not come with a cap for th hood, cheaper and better to build your own
Flimsy because it's not attached to a wall like it's supposed to. Also it does come with a cap to cover the hole if you are using it for an electric water heater instead of a gas water heater. With that said i agree that building an enclosure out of brick would be much better.
@@CARLOSSANCHEZ-vz3fp actually its still flimsy and does not come with a cap they sell it separate for almost $50 dollars. Better off building your own shed than buying this junk
we give the cover free of charge to our customers so whoever tried to rip you off by charging you an extra $50 take it up with them
@@CARLOSSANCHEZ-vz3fp bought it from the homedepot not saying you as a company but holdrite i believe is the maker
You said it all when you said Homedepot we try to take care of our customer's not make a sale and forget they exist. But when we install this we put tapcon screws 4 per side, 4 on top, bottom, and mide support and it does hold pretty well, but still better to build out of concrete
