Well...she was 15 when she gave birth to Mustafa. I dont think she could ve beared many girls before giving birth to her son. Maybe one, but not for sure.

She didn't have rivals because Suleiman kicked out other concubines out of Harem. Only at the begining they were 2 russian concubines, but Suleiman kicked them out too. I have a book of their history. That were just producers lies. If Suleyman did cheat on her then people wouldn't call her a witch for not cheating on her. Suleyman stayed faithful don't worry. Plus if they were really their rivals why you can't find them on the internet to be in Ottoman history? Issabela at that time she was the queen of Spain (old woman, not young unmarried princes).There's a video in Bosnian( my language) where they say the same thing. Firuze wasn't in Ottoman Empire or even didn't exist.Real history was different from the series and shorter. Concubine were not even in Harem because Suleiman married them to different man. This is based on the magnificent century. Mahidevran was never the sultans favorite she also only was known in the Empire because she gave birth the Sultans son. I believe after Hurrem gave birth to her first son the Sultan did not any more concubines to his bed.

@meltem meltem She never was a princess, historians said that she was a slave girl brought from Albanian and Criscassian. I haven’t looked at all of the sultans but because the way the harem was formed and that no noble ladies/princess were sent there was just to keep their families from gaining power. Based on how the Harem worked Mahidervran couldn’t have come from any family that had power.
True history is always preferred and it can be made interesting. So. Was gurren really kidnapped or was it judt for show? I would have liked more story line on ehrre she wss held captive and what happened to her.

Mahidevran wasn't Sultana in real life, valide , hatice and Shah loved hurrem. After Valides death, Suleiman made hurrem haseki and hurrem that way outranked his sisters that were forced to bow to her. Hurrems enemies were mahidevran, Ibrahim, Mustafa and fatma. She got fatma exiled easily, Mustafa died by his own many mistakes and mahidevran was exiled to bursa. Hurrems life was a true fairytale in palace, Suleiman didn't have other concubines and was loyal to Hurrem after marriage!

In the beginning of the show, Mahidevran truly loved the Sultan, and Sultan loved her. And they even had a child. Then, Hurrem showed up, and STOLE their love by sleeping with Suleyman. After that, Isabella showed up, and Hurem literally killed her, and after that, she sent away Firuze who was also with Sultan. Of course, she burned her friend's face, because she was expecting Gulnihal to miss the opportunity of her life, (same thing that Hurrem didn't want to miss when Suleyman called her in the bed, even if he had a wife and son). What I wanna ask is:
How is it okay when Hürrem stole someone's man, and it is not okay when other women fell in love with Sultan, same as Hurrem? Can someone explain that to me, or you just like her for no reason.

Its because the series shows survival of the fittest, Sultan was not mahidevrans man, he owned a harem so he was technically everyones man who caught his attention, Hurrem however wasnt the sultans slave she was his love, she managed to marry him and birth many heirs. People like Hurrem not cause of the love story but because she is a symbol of resillience and bravery, in the era were women were subdued as slaves, she was able to save herself, save her sons and change her future from a slave to a sultana, so she is inspiration, her acts may be cruel, but were justified as per her situation and era.
Creative Work yes, you’re right. it is the survival of the fittest, but that doesn’t morally justify the death she caused in the family. Of course, it’s common sense that anyone in her place would have done the same (and honestly, I think it’s more on Suleiman, because he was the decision maker who decided death for those people), but I think we shouldn’t overlook the fact that she is not a villain, but she is definitely not a hero either. She is a survivor, and that it praiseworthy, but I don’t think she should be glorified as much as she is now.
Creative Work also, I don’t think the original comment you replied to was putting Hurrem down per say. I think they were just bringing light to the fact that Mahidevran is usually disliked even though Hurrem does the same things.

The second thing is proved by new papers and books Ottomans from that time wrote. Historically, Hurrem was the one that tortured Mahidevran and her son, so you shouldn't judge Mahidervan either. Now, don't tell me things about surviving as a woman in those time, tell me why do you think she is an angel? I respected her as a woman that knew how to survive, and i still do, but i don't think that you should say that she is an Icon and a good person, and hero. 1. She was jealous of her friend that became Muslim, and not even thinking about Suleyman or betrayal of Hurrem.
2. She expected her friend to die, and hated her because she did what she had to save her head, (same as Hurrem herself).
3. She expected Mahidevran to be good to her even if she stole her happiness and her son's happiness and to not fight for her loved one's better life ( same thing Hurrem fighted for)
4. She expected Mustafa to not think about the throne for one second. And Mahidervan to not tell him that he will become a Sultan what was the truth. And to not even say that Hurrem also said that to her kids, but that was okay, isn't it.
5. She expected every woman that truly fell in love with a Sultan as her to wait and miss the opportunity to be happy and to also live happy life, not to be a slave that everyone will disrespect. Again, same as Hurrem fighted for.
And six, she didn't even care about what would Suleyman think and what would he feel when his son dies. She didn't care if he would be sad. Her power and her kids happiness was the most important thing in the hole world, and nobody except her couldn't be happy. She didn't let poor Efsun to give a birth! To love Mustafa! No, she kiled her, and her baby. And the most important thing - SHE LIED TO SUTLAN, TO LOVE OF HER LIFE ALL THE TIME. LIED ABOUT ISABELLA, LIED ABOUT MUSTAFA, LIED ABOUT LEO. SHE COULD JUST EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO HIM ABOUT LEO, AND HE WOULD HELP HER. SHE LIED ABOU MUSTAFA'S "BETRAYAL". LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING. SHE LEFT HIM LIVE IN THE LIES. HER LIES.
And now, you're gonna say this:
Her possibility to survive in that world was the thing that made her different. Of course that she was not gonna let others steal her husband.
All right then. Here is an explantation for that: She could stole someone's man, so why wouldn't others could live happily as her, with their kids, servants, and loves of their lifes? I mean, what was Mahidervan supposed to do, to sit and wait while other woman was stealing her man. She also did a bad things, but after that Hürrem did the same, and became as her. The thing is just that she knew how to win. A lot of bad things happened to her, but after she got everything she wanted she started to make others live through pain for just trying to live happily as her.
I respect her as a woman that changed the world and got the power, as a woman that got different in so many others, but not as an hero or icon.
