Thank you for providing us with a historical story about Haseki Hurrem. Women must know this and learn from her. Salute to this historical Hurrem. She did many great deeds for her people in her time. I believe that women should follow her example and do what they can and do all in their power for the benefit of people and not only seek their benefit selfishly. If only women focus their efforts on doing this and not waste their efforts on destroying women by gossip and slander, our world would be a beautiful place to live in.

The dark era of slavery has end. So woman shouldn’t learn from her. Today's women are much more educated, smart and fascinated then that era.

Mahidevran was never married to Suleiman.

Mahidevran was treated like a wife, even though she was a concubine.
She was called the ‘first wife’ though never legally married. She was a slave concubine.
Hurrem was the legal freed wife, but she is called the ‘second wife’

@@ashQueenJLT85 Mahidevran was never treated as a wife. The harem system does not accept monogamous relationship. It's plainly stated. The little we know about Hafsa sultan shows she was an absolute stickler for the dynastic rule hence she kept her son alive to ascend the throne. Therefore considering Mustapha's birthday and one mother, one prince rule, the last time she sent Mahidevran to Suleiman was late 1514 when she got pregnant and that was that. Stop getting your information from fiction.

@@runaspage Stop it. So call 'real Ottoman work' has no access to the inner workings of the palace the way we do now. Until Hurrem and centuries after her, there was no monogamous relationship in Ottoman dynasty. What Mahidevran was angry about was not loss of love(someone can't fall out of love if it's real) but loss of money and power. Go read real books use in universities that offers Ottoman studies world over, you will not find all this rubb!$# in them.

Absolutely, Mahidevran Hatun was never a wife, she was a low paid concubine while still in Manisa. He had 2 other sons and a daughter from other concubines when he ascended the throne. When the epidemic hit in 1521 while Süleyman was on his 1st campaign and his other two sons a daughter died, Mustafa became the eldest living son which changed the position of Mahidevran Hatun to first consort. Not wife by any means.

The series excluded Abdullah who died in his infancy.
Suleiman had 11 children in total. He lost 5 infants due to diseases/epidemics.
The show cast only the surviving 6 children.
