"Most powerful woman in Ottoman history". The title is enough to tell me that you know nothing about Ottoman history. The most powerful woman was either Kosem or Turhan. Hurrem was powerful, but Mihrimah, Nurbanu, Safiye, Kosem and Turhan were more powerful than her.

There were two major problems with the ottoman royal family. If those two problems were fixed then most of the family politics, backstabbings & toxic conspiracies could have been prevented. 1. The first problem was that the Sultan had a huge Harrem with multiple slave women & the sultan was meant to sleep with them all. So the Sultan was just banging around 😂 & infecting everyone with his sperm. Now when you have multiple sons from multiple different women then it’s natural that those women have jealousy among themselves & they conspire against each other in order for their own sons to ascend to the throne. So all the toxic drama & conspiracies between the concubines could have been prevented if the sultan didn’t exploit dozens of concubines & remained faithful to one woman only & didn’t behaved like a hungry dog. 2. The second problem which caused all this drama & mess was the fact that according to the ottoman tradition once a male heir ascend to the throne then he is supposed to KILL ALL HIS BROTHERS, it was done to prevent civil wars. Because if the other brothers were alive then they would want to overthrow their brother or atleast want a share of power which would give rise to civil war’s & political turmoil. So to concentrate the power solely in the hands of one Sultan, the sultan had to kill all his brothers. Now the reason this caused drama was because as I mentioned earlier that the sultan was injecting everyone with his sperm so there were multiple concubines with sons, all of them were each others step brothers & sisters. They were all rivals for the throne. So every single concubine understood that her son have only two choices, either he will be a Sultan or he will die. So each concubine try to protect her sons & it was a survival battle, it was pure Darwinism, the survival of the fittest. The strongest woman would make her son ascend to the throne & all the rest who were weak would be eliminated. This gave rise to a lot of conspiracies, because every one was conspiring against each other. As their survival was at stake. Honestly, if the Ottoman Empire could fix these two things then there would be less drama, and the family relationships would not have been so toxic.

I think it will be a good idea to make such a cartoon about Safiye Sultan- she was powerful, clever and cunning. She's also right in the middle of the Sultanate of Women timewise. We have series about Hurrem and Kosem, but Safiye's story is just as remarkable- you why don't you make one (but include her whole and REAL life, not what we saw in the TV-series)?

After nearly 30 years I lost my job to automation, who do you think is going to pay for UBI? Seriously? and there's going to be no strings attached? AI is the inevitable future, I get that. I will be glad when my time comes, and my work worn body is burnt into ashes, that I was part of a time that put men on the moon, sent probes into deep space, and witnessed real progress at a rate that will never be seen again. Enjoy your fake reality and degenerative domestication into human cattle. I hope AI will do great things, cause we sure won't.

There was no such thing as slavery in the Ottoman Empire. Hürrem was the wife of the Sultan even at the very beginning. In addition, the reason why the end of the Hürrem was bad was because she wanted to destroy the peace in the palace and want to rule Harem as she wanted. She even plotted and had others killed for his own child. She has eye on empires throne. She made conspiracies and deceptions for her own goods. She even used her child as a stepping stone on this path.

Famous for his relentless enforcement of the prohibition of alcohol and tobacco, Sultan IV. Even though Murad did not drink alcohol, he would take opium extracts (morphine) given by the physician to relieve the pain of gout, which he was fond of. This made him feel tired and lethargic. Those who saw him stagger walking a few times did not hesitate to judge that the sultan was drinking. Although coffee has lived on Turkish soil for centuries as a part of Turkish culture, it was banned from time to time by statesmen and scholars. This was not because coffee was harmful. The main reason was the coffeehouse culture, socialization, grouping that coffee brought with it, and this caused various political upheavals. People exchanged views in these areas. Different ideas brought along critical thinking. Even though coffeehouses were seen as the first civic gathering places of the society, they were sometimes referred to as "the nests of strife". They were seen by the state as preparation centers for the rebellion. Besides, he wasn't a murderer, he was just a very strict and strict adherent of the rules and laws. At least he ONLY killed those who didn't follow his rules. 😒
