Good morning Chad and Jolene, this is another way I weld in holes, I hold a flat piece of thick copper on the backside and weld the hole in a quick circular motion as the weld doesn't stick to the copper and it leaves it flat on the back also!! Your ways are excellent too just telling my way! Keep up the great content! John from Noosa Australia 🇦🇺 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

I was inspired by watching the channel. I'm old and living in Asia and building or repairing something is beyond my reach (but not when Chad is doing positive things). You don't need to justify because the critics will only be concerned about themselves. So continue doing your craft, consider ideas of inspiration. And move forward. Happy New Year to you both.

Chad you have inspired me since the day I started watching you. Its your can do attitude and your great outlook on having fun about what your doing. Being positive in the moment and learning each day. We all learn everyday. When you stop learning I feel its then time to be buried. I learned that Nova Scotia Tig welding on a TV show from some friends in Illinois who have a very high end famous shop, maybe they will chime in. Have a great day and keep building for YOU!!!

Few on here should be jealous of seeing these collections as some of us also have collections and seeing others is always nice . Our collection is from 1929 to 1971, while most being 40- 55 era. After spending years on the track, it was great to the Dick Landy collection . Car lovers always enjoy seeing cars, no matter the name on the registration. On a side note, “Happy New Year Chad and Jolene ! “

Chad, have you ever considered using 3m Cubitron 80 grit roloc discs? Cut of and grind wheels, like you use, work great for taking of high peaks and grinding down big globs of weld, but for fine shaping and blending your welds into the old metal, Cubitrons work really well. They are on the expensive side, but they last so much longer than other products on the market.

Good morning Chad, Jolene, and Fina. There's a reason that you got the respect and time that those Florida builders showed you. It's because they actually know what you are capable of, not like the RUclips trolls and haters. I started out with an acetylene torch and welding wire/coat hangers in the early 80's. I couldn't afford a MIG welder back then. I welded quarter panels, floor pans, and patch panels with welding wire and coat hangers. Hell, I've even used baling wire and nails. And it all worked so I say to you coat hanger bashers, "Get a life! The whole world is ready to blow up and you're worried about Chad using coat hangers. Now, let's move on to the experts that say that your cars don't run and drive. Apparently you don't know anything about show cars or you would know that most of them don't even have oil in them. So they don't leak lubricants when they're on display. At least that's how it used to be. There may be a few that are driven but not many. Anyway, all I'm saying is that if I wanted to hear that much whining I'd get a puppy. God bless Chad, Jolene, and Fina. 👍👍🙂

That game is for guys who have "crews" and regularly build high end cars for celebrities like Jay Leno, and are used to $200K budgets with 800 hp, and suspension parts you can see your reflection in. I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea that those builds are $200k 🤷‍♂️. JUST the paint on that one car where Chad was talking to the body guy…is $150K.
Most of these builds would be $500K…minimum. That’s US Dollars. Chad has a budget of $25k…’canadian’….which is around USD$18K I believe.

@@howquick I used $200k, cause most of those builders have "sponsors" who provide engines, chassis, wheels, etc. to promote their products at the shows.

And you even have the guts to sell some of your creations ( at a very reasonable price ) instead of hoarding them . Keep your old welding nozzles handy, you can bash them and shape them to your desire. If you wanted, you could hold it behind the hole at 7:21 and it would allow you to fill in the hole and not stick to the nozzle behind while filling in that gap.

I am thankful you do your pushups at the end of the show - it inspired me to push myself a bit and do pushups with you, although I am only up to 20 at a time (currently battling cancer but won’t let it win). It puts a smile on my face to know you get enjoyment out of sharing your methods with whoever might watch your program. Thankful for your good attitude. Praying now for you, Jolene, and your family.
