What grows hair?
✅Commitment
✅Consistency
✅Care (being extremely gentle)
✅Cleansing (solid scalp and hair cleansing regimen)
✅Crops (crops (vegetables), overall diet, ample water
Hair is constantly growing, but must be maintained to thrive. (Cleansing, grooming)
I have used these ingredients to help me achieve waist length hair. In addition, you must keep your hair in protective styles (twists, braids) for long periods of time. (3 - 4 weeks at a time etc) practice gratefulness, positive mindset, excellent diet, proper sleep, consistency, exercise, gentle detangling, no heat at all (my experience), daily oiling of hair ends , deep scalp massage, diy natural mild shampoos and deeply moisturizing diy conditioners, practice mindfulness and lower stress. The results are my own. All results vary. Hair does not grow long overnight. Average hair growth is 6 inches a year. I started my natural hair journey 10 years ago but had many setbacks as it took many years of research and trial and error to find methods/products that worked for me. Of the 10 years, it took me roughly 4 years to achieve waist length hair.
More insight: I’m a non-smoker and do not drink alcoholic beverages, nor do I take any medications.

Great video.
Learning something new. Thank you kindly for sharing this God-Bless you 🪷
Thank you Sapphire!
I saw this video about an hour after I washed my hair and made several of the mistakes you caution against. I’ll know for next time 😅
Awesome 👏🏾 thanks for watching! 💕💕
🤣🤣🤣
Please make a video on your take down and how you redo your braids
Ok I’ll do this - thanks for watching 💕
09:24 ayeeeee thanks so much for the shout out 😀
I need 2 try this 4 my daughter. The ends of her hair has so many knots!
Mine did too! It was horrible 🤦🏾♀️ not anymore though
Thank you for the video. I am considering switching my store-bought shampoo to a homemade one. Apple cider vinegar is top on my list, so I thank you for the video. Also have you heard about soapnuts? They are very well known for their soft detergent properties, thus helping cleansing the scalp without stripping the hair of its oil. Can you please consider trailing this and give your thoughts about this? ❤ Love your channel
Thanks so much Spoken word! I’ve actually tried soapnuts but it left my hair feeling waxy and dry. It didn’t make my hair feel good to the touch, so I do not use these. I know soapnuts can be used as a cleanser but I would caution for the hair (my personal opinion) or you can try it and see what you think. I’d only use it on a small section of hair though!
Thank you for viewing and for your comments! Have a blessed week 💕
To wash my hair I use a flower called shampoo ginger. It smells just like a fruit mixed with ginger.
Thanks a lot for sharing ❤
Thank you for watching 💕
Thanks for sharing one of your hair regimens. Question: when you do protective styles, do you use the same parting or do you switch it up?
Hi thanks for watching! I use the same parts, because it is less manipulation for me. (Less breakage)
💕
@@tialynn1111 does permanent parting concern you?
No I don’t see an issue w it , as long as your styles are low tension and not pulling at the part
hi! thank u for the video 🫶🏽 i have a couple of questions:
1. do you do put oils into your hair like a day prior washing your hair or some hours/minutes before washing?
and
2. since you recommended to not tie your ends when washing, do you just leave them untied all the time then or you knot them after washing? (hope i’m making sense😭)
Ok give me a minute I’ll answer a little later today 💕
@@tialynn1111 perfect no worries. Thank you!
1. I oil my hair throughout the week on a daily basis, but I add a larger amount the day before…
2. Right so if you tie the ends during wash day, it has a tendency to actually knot up (I noticed this in my 4c hair And I would lose length) however, if you really moisturize them and have them in a loose twist towards the end (like what I did in the video), the ends of your hair shouldn’t knot
Then afterwards, after I wash, I oil, and then add my avocado aloe gel to the ends (similar to Indigenous strandz flaxseed gel) however I use aloe /avocado
I used this: ruclips.net/video/8APk7fDwOUs/видео.htmlsi=4HvQhAIarf-m1X8T
So this was your weekly washday? Since your hair started to web, did you rebraid it the same day, or did you wait a week, do a full washday and then rebraid it? I hope that made sense 😅
Yes,
so when it begins to web pretty badly, it’s usually at week 4. When my style is in a long term monthly style, I’ll remove and re do the braids after a month.
Everyone’s hair is different though, some may need to redo them after 2 weeks to prevent matting. I know I can go 1 month without re braiding💕
@@tialynn1111 so did you rebraid your hair the same day of this washday?
Do you have a video of your full washday?
@@MT-yx5cu I rebraided it a few days after this video. I created one months ago, as it takes a lot to record it.
I’ll have to create a new one
My wash regimen is:
Weekly if in a long term protective style and then a full wash day at the end of that week (w mild diluted shampoo)
@@tialynn1111 I have another question as I am trying to decide if I want to take my braids out or jusr wash them lol. Do you do your full washday at the end of your protective style month with the braids in? If so, do you take your braids out to redo them while they are wet or do you let them air-dry first? I'm trying to prevent breakage
@@MT-yx5cu yes 💕I’ll do full wash day at the end of the month- I take the braids out and wash them in twists
Sister so after this step you rebrand your braids or you leave it in braids for longer?❤
Hi Maria
I don’t rebraid it, I’ll keep it in for a month and rinse/ACV aloe wash them weekly💕
Hey beautiful ❤ love love love it ❤
Hi pretty lady 💕
What was the thickener called? ❤
Hi thanks for watching💕
It’s an all natural thickener called: guar gum
I’ll add link in the description

@UCY93OF8MqG6UE95-51hniJw hi I used to use mountainroseherbs.com/amla-powder , but they have been out of stock for months now.
I now use hennasooq.com/products/organic-amla-powder?_pos=1&_psq=Amla&_ss=e&_v=1.0

@@naturallychilled3939 yes!! Let me know how you like it!!
Do a patch test to make sure you are not allergic to anything & try on a small section of hair first to see how you like it!
It’s all natural and works very well-I love it!💕💕 enjoy your weekend lovely
Knowing what to use is key for our hair for sure. Just found out last week that Braggs is now owned by Katy Perry and is partnered with Billy Gates who has make Apeel which is a pesticide used on fruits unable to wash off. Foods are not safe to use anymore our hair will start to fall out.
Thanks for the comment - Costco is not using Apeel. We can also make our own apple cider vinegar too 🙏🏽
😨
@@tialynn1111the Kirkland brand?
@@haircandykina News article said they will not be using Apeel in any of their produce.. I believe that’s all brands…
I’ll have to post the article here when I have some time
Loved this video! I make my own shampoo bars using plants that contain saponins just as amla does. There is a flower called shampoo ginger that smells so good, and soapwort..both of which contain saponins (soap). I include some other herbs and a fews oils and a non animal based soapbase to make my shampoo bars.
Thank you! You are so knowledgeable I just found out about shampoo ginger on IG two days ago
Have you tried it??
@@tialynn1111 yes I have many times...it works great and makes my hair really soft. I harvested some and have some to my mom so that she can grow her own
@@elicore.biz81 nice and where do you purchase the rhizomes from?
@@tialynn1111 I have also tried soapwort...which are these little tiny flowers that contain soap in them. Also horse chestnuts also have soap in them as well.
@@tialynn1111 I have actually never purchased them because I use to live in a rural country area and they grew wild. So I had access to them from my back yard.
