      Oh wow that is Charlie..... I saw him sing with Foghat in 2021 on their 50th anniversary tour and he STILL sounds the same! Amazing

    This was taped soon after my long time friend Charlie Huhn left the 'small scene' in GR Michigan for the bright lights. I still remember how excited he was. We always knew Charlie would make it big, because he oozed talent. I was involved with a band named 'Lotus'. One of the few local bands during that time Charlie wasn't in, but we all ran in the same circles.

    I’ve seen Uncle Ted live many times! He puts on a hell of a show! I also loved his work with Damn Yankees, and of course, Amboy Dukes!

    I read a interview recently of a producer who said the hardest artist he ever worked with was twisted sister. Said basically that they had no talent. When asked who was the easiest said ted nugent said he was professional all day long

    That was from the one episode that The Midnight Special did with all heavy bands in it. Cheap Trick and AC/DC was in it too. Good stuff.

    Ted's pretty abrasive with his freedom of speech but I get it, but he's an incredible guitarist, Iconic riffs. Should be in the RnR Hall of fame. Teds why I play guitar.

      I was a teenager and I thought Ted was doing the vocals too. Saw him in concert and was shocked and a bit disappointed he was not the vocalist. By the way it was by far the wildest concert/event I have ever seen. No police at all.Drugs and drink all over that arena.

      I've known that since I was a teenager. And Nugent was already pretty well-known at the time due to the success of Hey Baby and Stranglehold from his debut album. Meatloaf wasn't yet known by many.

    Wonder why Ted never sang back then... You can tell he wanted to.... interesting the evolution of that aspect. Holmes was great but Ted did amazing on his own later..... Actually I always thought it was Ted singing until I saw them live

      @@davidday8417 yeah and cat scratch fever was a great album...loved free for all too...bought weekend warrior new, haven't really revisited it, but I remember I liked it, and scream dream ...lol ...but I was a huge nuge fan, after his cool debut, and seeing him open up for Bad Co. In Albuquerque n.m. he was a headliner from then on...show was killer

    This was Ted's best line-up. Charlie was a better singer and guitar player than Derek St. Holmes. And John Sauter is a great bassist.

      @@timhoovermusicman Better because Charlie has had a long career after Nugent from Gary Moore, Victory, Dedringer and Humble Pie to 20 years with Foghat. Derek only ever had one-offs with St. Paradise and Whitford/St. Holmes and languished in obscurity otherwise. Their post-Nugent work speaks volumes - in favor of Charlie.

      Respectfully reconsider...Derek has more range..look at the vocals on Ted Nugent..Huhn was a good guitarist..on bass Rob Grange was as good as Sauter..wonder why Nugent used so many different players from 78 through the early 90's?
